CHAPTER 160: CHAPTER 160: ETHAN’S SHOW FOR YVETTE

Chase Sinclair was taken aback, looking at Ethan Grant in shock, then glanced at Yvette. "Yvette..."

"Don’t understand?" Ethan’s voice was deep.

Chase was afraid of Ethan, nervously clenching his hands, looking at Yvette, as though pleading for an explanation from her.

Ethan only found Chase laughable.

Having a wife and children, not caring much about Yvette, yet now acting as if he was the abandoned one.

"Brother! You can’t be with Yvette..." Jayden Grant was a bit anxious.

"Who I’m with, I need your approval for that?" Ethan’s voice was very low, it was clear that he didn’t come back today for peace and friendliness.

"Bad guy!" Summers glared angrily at Jayden.

In a moment of inattention, Summers rushed up and bit Jayden’s hand.

"You little bastard!" Jayden cursed in pain and raised his hand to hit Summers.

Ethan grabbed Jayden’s wrist, holding it tightly.

Jayden’s face twisted in pain, staring angrily at Ethan. "You know Yvette is my girlfriend."

"Who are you calling a little bastard?" Ethan’s grip remained strong.

Jayden’s wrist was dislocated, he clenched his fingers with pain. "He’s a little bastard!"

"Ha... then what are you?" Ethan looked at Melody Crowe approaching them, pushing Jayden away. "When your mom secretly gave birth to you out of wedlock, what did they call you? A bastard? Or an illegitimate child?"

"Ethan Grant! If you have a problem, come at me, why involve my mom!" Jayden wanted to fight Ethan.

Yvette instinctively shielded Ethan, biting her lip as she looked at Jayden.

Jayden froze where he stood, just staring at Yvette.

She actually... protected Ethan?

Back then, Yvette was always the one shielding him.

Back in school when he got into fights, even if he wasn’t at a disadvantage, Yvette would fearfully stand in front of him, terrified he would get hurt.

But now, Yvette stood in front of someone else.

"Ethan, if you have any grievances, take them out on me... Jayden is your brother." Melody cried as she rushed over, hugging Jayden. "Ethan, how can you hit your brother?"

Ethan watched Melody’s act, pulling Yvette behind him. "You really haven’t lost your touch as the star of Meridia’s opera troupe, you still act just as well after all these years."

Melody was taken aback, angrily biting her teeth.

"Ethan! Watch how you speak to your aunt!" Arthur Grant glared angrily, his voice low. "Everyone come in, don’t disgrace us standing at the door."

"You still care about disgrace?" Ethan laughed. "Melody Crowe had her assistant poison my room, if I died, would that be disgraceful?"

Arthur’s face darkened further, unable to justify, he could only speak in a low tone. "There’s a misunderstanding, it was your aunt’s assistant acting on her own, and I’ve already reprimanded your aunt, we’re family, since it didn’t become a big issue, let it go."

"Do you hear yourself? Does that even sound human?" Ethan picked up Summers with one hand.

Summers shook his head cooperatively. "Not human talk."

"..." Yvette, nervous, was sweating on her back, quietly reminding Summers not to speak.

"Mom, is he dad’s dad? Why doesn’t dad protect his own child?" Summers looked confused, asking in puzzlement. "If a dad can’t be a superhero to protect his kids, isn’t he very unqualified?"

Arthur’s face turned darker and darker, seething with anger.

"Where did this wild child come from to enter the Grant family, Butler! Show them out." Arthur said angrily.

"Even a child understands, but you don’t, how pitiful." Ethan sneered, holding Yvette’s hand with one hand. "Since the Grant family doesn’t welcome us, there’s no need to show us out, we’ll leave by ourselves."

"Ethan Grant! If you dare walk out that door today, don’t think about coming back!" Arthur threatened Ethan, his hands shaking with rage.

"Ethan, it’s all my fault, don’t be mad at your dad, I beg you, you can make your aunt do anything, just don’t be mad at your dad, his health isn’t good." Melody cried as she came forward to block Ethan. "Ethan, your dad’s health hasn’t been good all these years, he worries about you."

"My dad’s poor health, shouldn’t that be your fault? You didn’t take care of him, yet you shamelessly bring it up?" Ethan looked at Melody. "Or are you saying, without your care, my dad might live a few more years?"

"You!" Melody almost lost her ability to pretend due to anger.

"Ethan Grant, you’re going too far, my mom didn’t intend to harm you, it was the assistant who wanted to harm you, you made too many enemies, who do you blame." Jayden spoke angrily, fully tearing off his mask with Ethan.

In the past, he was wary of Ethan.

But today, when he heard Ethan call Yvette his sister-in-law... he felt like he was about to go crazy.

Why!

Yvette is his, he won’t just let her go like that, even if it’s to ruin her, she won’t go to Ethan!

If he can’t have her, he’ll ruin her, not letting anyone else have her.

Yvette is his!

"You’re really disgusting..." Yvette looked at Jayden, full of disappointment and disgust.

She never imagined she once loved this person... for many years.

"Yvette!" Jayden’s emotions were a bit out of control.

"Ethan Grant, have the outsiders leave first." Arthur took a deep breath, intending to calm Ethan down. "Let’s have a good talk as a family."

"Yvette is not an outsider." Ethan looked firmly at Arthur.

If Yvette and Summers left, he would too.

"You!" Arthur’s anger surged to his heart.

"Arthur." Melody hurriedly stepped forward, supporting Arthur.

Ethan took out his phone, playing a recording of Melody’s assistant admitting that Melody instructed her to add acid to the bottled water.

"Can we have a good talk now?" Ethan looked at Arthur. "I not only have this audio file, but also call recordings from the assistant’s phone. If you want to hear, father, I can play them."

Arthur’s face turned frighteningly dark, his anger intense as he glanced at Melody.

Melody was clearly panicked as well, looking pitifully at Ethan. "Ethan... She did it on purpose, the assistant has ill intentions, I admit I was naive in choosing people wrongly, but someone must have deliberately wanted her to destroy the harmony of our family, Ethan, you must believe in your aunt, have I not treated you well over the years?"

"Crying only when you see the coffin, is that it?" Ethan sneered. "Father, the Grant family image you worked so hard to maintain, gone just like that, what a pity."

"Ethan Grant, what are you trying to do!" Arthur looked at Ethan in shock. "I’m telling you, this must not spread, family scandals should stay private, we’ll handle any issues internally!"

"Melody Crowe, apologize to Ethan, if you can’t gain his forgiveness today, you’ll be kicked out of the Grant family." Arthur was using the pity tactic now.

Ethan sneered. "If apologies were enough, what do we need the police for?"

"Ethan Grant, that bottle of water was meant for Yvette, you never drink bottled water, are you making a fuss over nothing for a woman now?" Arthur dropped the pretense, angrily speaking the truth.

Clearly... Arthur had always known of Melody’s actions.

It wasn’t the assistant acting on her own.

Ethan looked at Arthur in disappointment, this was his father.

Truly disgusting.

"Harming my woman, and this response is making a fuss over nothing?" Ethan laughed. "Then you really underestimated me."

As soon as Ethan finished speaking, sirens were heard from outside the villa, along with a swarm of press vehicles, chaotic noises, and flashing lights.

He notified not only the police but also the media.
