CHAPTER 186: CHAPTER 183- ANOTHER ONE?

A pile of spider corpses littered the second balcony and was increasing with each attack from Sol’s fists.

With a bang, another spider burst into a gory mess of organs and green blood.

Getting tired of being swarmed, Sol hefted his bow from his back and then knocked it back.

Metal-type Aether converged on the bow, and quickly, a black arrow coalesced.

Sol fired it at the other approaching spiders, and the arrow burst into dozens of smaller ones, and decimated the horde approaching him.

Just as Sol was about to turn and do the same for the swarm approaching him from behind, a ghastly black hand appeared from Little Abdu’s body and clawed at the swarm.

With a loud bang, the spiders were instantly sliced into mincemeat, along with a portion of the balcony being destroyed.

However, if one compared this strike to the strength he displayed a few times previously, one would notice a significant drop in power.

Instead of thanking Little Abdu, Sol frowned.

"Enough, Little Abdu, if you really continue to use your cultivation, I’ll force you to enter my Formation."

Sol said, raising his right hand.

"You’re making a big issue out of nothing. I’m still as strong as a Master, so these bugs aren’t a problem."

If Sol wasn’t wrong, a Master would be somewhere between a Mortal Realm Cultivator with acupoints in three of his limbs opened and a Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivator, but he wasn’t sure.

Sol sighed. Now wasn’t the time to scold Little Abdu; there was another major issue.

Sol glanced towards the Mother Spider and asked Abdu.

"Little Abdu, that Mother Spider just now, was it just me, or did it use its swarm of offspring to attack us in secret?"

"You’re thinking is correct, brat. It appears to have some intelligence. And... that attack was aimed at me."

"It was? Why was it aiming at you, Little Abdu?"

Little Abdu paused before saying.

"I don’t know what kind of Spirit Beast it is; I’ve never seen it inside the Dimension before. It’s possible that it evolved while being trapped inside this Palace, or it was somehow brought in from the outside world. But the one thing I could gather about it is that it feeds on other Spirit Beasts."

"*Hiccup!* Wah! Someone help me!"

Sol turned to see Mar-Dule retreating from a horde of spiders.

He immediately knocked back his bow and lent a hand.

His barrage of arrows expertly missed Mar-Dule and attacked the swarm around him.

"Brother Mar-Dule, head to the second floor!"

"Huh? Sol? How am I supposed to do that when I can’t even see!"

Cheong-San’s ability had been deactivated.

Thinking quickly on his feet, Sol knocked back his bow and fired several flaming arrows.

While Mar-Dule was fighting off the never-ending swarm of spiders, a flaming arrow suddenly landed next to his foot.

"Follow the arrows!"

Mar-Dule heard Sol’s voice, and he looked up to see that a path was made by the flaming arrows that led him to the staircase.

Mar-Dule didn’t waste time moving towards the staircase as he fought off the swarm of spiders. However, he realized that some of the spiders were ignoring him and running off in another direction.

Sol looked over to the other side of the large pillar that had fallen in the middle of the hall and saw Ji-Hoon and the others.

’This monster, did it purposely separate us?’

As Sol was wondering this, he realized Yoon-Jae wasn’t with Ji-Hoon’s group.

"Fuck! Why are they only after me?!"

Yoon-Jae’s enraged voice echoed out, and Sol instantly turned to see him being swarmed by spiders.

The ones that avoided Mar-Dule were heading for him.

He was holding Little Zeel.

"Brother Yoon-Jae!"

"Sol? Where are you?!"

Yoon-Jae could only see a few meters around him using his flames. However, he was getting so irritated by the current situation that he was on the verge of snapping and lighting up this entire fucking hall.

Sol immediately hefted his bow to assist him.

Several flaming arrows pierced the void to arrive amid the swarm. Upon impact, the Fire Aether Energy condensed in the arrows exploded and spread out to burn the screeching spiders.

Sol was about to knock back his bow once again to lead Yoon-Jae to the staircase, but the flames from his arrows near Yoon-Jae suddenly began to swirl around.

"Damn it, you think I’m weak or something?!"

BANG!!

A pillar of flames suddenly erupted from Yoon-Jae’s body to dye a good portion of the hall a crimson hue.

Screech!!

The loud cry of a bird resounded out in the palace hall before Yoon-Jae’s Fire Phoenix Innate Dharma materialized from the swirling fire around him.

Yoon-Jae took a step and appeared on his Fire Phoenix’s back. It then flapped its wings and took flight.

Its wings simultaneously sent out a torrential amount of crimson flames that burned the spiders in the surroundings.

However, as soon as the Fire Phoenix took flight, the Mother Spider’s gaze landed on it.

It opened its mouth, and black bubbles began gathering in front of it. In an instant, these bubbles form a large black ball.

BANG!

A black beam shot from the Mother Spider and headed toward Yoon-Jae, it was completely undetectable in this pitch darkness.

This all took a while to explain, but it only took moments after Yoon-Jae took flight. It didn’t give either Sol or Little Abdu a chance to make a move.

Sol could only cry out in panic.

"Brother Yoon-Jae, look out!!"

However, Yoon-Jae couldn’t see in the dark. But he did feel a familiar wind approaching him, and he swiftly turned to look in the direction of the beam.

"Fuck..."

Yoon-Jae’s Fire Phoenix flapped its wings and tried to dodge, but the black beam seemed to ignore the nearly four hundred meters distance and appeared in front of them.

Yoon-Jae and his Fire Phoenix were hit by the black beam.

However, they weren’t vaporized. The beam forcefully slammed into the Fire Phoenix and caused it to crash against the wall, resulting in a deep crater forming. The attack was so strong that it caused the entire palace to shake uncontrollably.

"YOON-JAE!!!"

Sol cried out.

Mar-Dule, hearing it, paused running up the staircase to look in Yoon-Jae’s direction.

Ji-Hoon and the others who had made it onto the balcony on the other side of the room also watched this scene in horror.

Sol leaped onto the edge of the balcony to use his bracelets and fly towards the crater inside the wall; however, a voice was suddenly heard saying from it.

"Fuck, now I’m pissed. I’m so pissed I don’t even care anymore."

BANG!!!

ROARRRR!!!!

A blue and black energy erupted from the crater inside the wall, sending a frigid aura in every direction.

This strange phenomenon was accompanied by the cry of a Phoenix.

No, the roar of a Divine Beast.

The dust surrounding the crater in the wall was swept away to reveal Yoon-Jae floating in mid-air.

His body was covered in translucent blue and black armor that had intricate carvings of auspicious beasts on it. There were massive wings that sprouted from his back, making Yoon-Jae look like a Divine being.

The armor covered Yoon-Jae’s entire body and came up to stop just below his ears and cheeks.

While holding a sleeping Little Zeel in one hand, Yoon-Jae raised his right index finger and pointed at the Mother Spider.

"Fuck, let’s see how you like being shot by a beam of energy. Mirror Reflection!"

BANG!

The black energy around him that mixed with the blue aura to create Yoon-Jae’s armor quickly flowed out and formed a highly condensed black beam of energy that shot from his fingertip towards the Mother Spider.

Shockingly, except for its size, this was the same beam of energy that had attacked him!

Everyone’s faces had a look of shock on them as they witnessed this scene.

However, Little Abdu was staring at Yoon-Jae with an incredulous expression on his face.

"Another one?"
