The Headline Queen: President Hawthorne is Her Die-Hard Fan!
Chapter 409: Alisa
CHAPTER 409: CHAPTER 409: ALISA
But there are always some ambitious and confident men who think they can become the most unique woman in Julian Hawthorne’s heart.
So, every day, women come to visit Julian Hawthorne, though, in general, none of them can actually meet him.
Dora Upton camps out in the lobby of the Hawthorne Group every day. Whenever it’s someone coming to see Julian, she gets more excited than the receptionist, rushing up to them and babbling away, attacking their looks, then their figure, and finally their talents. In any case, you’re nowhere near my God Sterling, so what makes you think you can seduce God Sterling’s man? Is it your ugliness? She only feels at ease after making them leave in shame, covering their face as they run away.
After a few days, those women she had insulted really stopped coming, saving the reception a lot of trouble, and she got familiar with them.
"Great news, our God Sterling’s fan club has gained a new member, Miss Dora Upton. On behalf of all our fans, I welcome you!"
"Thank you for the trust, I’ll be a responsible member and contribute to our fan club’s growth!"
People with a common idol always have plenty to chat about, and ever since then, Dora practically camped there twenty-four hours a day.
Everyone knew she was Julian’s cousin, so they wouldn’t chase her away.
Initially, when Mrs. Hawthorne returned home, she brought Dora along because she feared being too lonely and wanted someone to chat with.
But now, all Dora does is run off every day, and back at The Hawthorne Family, she’s always talking about Paige Sterling, driving Mrs. Hawthorne to frustration.
She wanted everyone around her to share her dislike and opposition to Paige Sterling and not like this, where everyone around her is captivated by Paige, leaving her isolated.
Today, another woman came to the Hawthorne Group looking for Julian, with chestnut wavy locks, exquisite makeup, and a red dress accentuating her curvy and enchanting figure, along with that mixed-race face, altogether quite a sight.
As soon as she arrived, she asked for Julian.
However, this woman didn’t have an appointment, so the receptionist politely refused, and the woman flicked her hair.
"I don’t need an appointment; you can call your President Hawthorne and tell him Alisa is here; he will see me."
Though the receptionist and Dora had driven away many women harassing Julian and men harassing Paige, the receptionist still did her job conscientiously.
Seeing this woman’s confident demeanor, she called the secretary’s office.
After getting a clear reply from the secretary’s office, she politely smiled at Alisa and said, "I’m sorry, Miss Alisa, President Hawthorne is busy."
This was a polite refusal, telling Alisa that Julian wasn’t interested in meeting her.
Alisa’s face stiffened, and she frowned slightly.
"He won’t see me? How could he not see me? Did your President personally take the call?"
"The call was taken by President’s secretary office; they convey President’s words."
It’s equivalent to saying that their message is the President’s decision.
Alisa really hadn’t expected that Julian wouldn’t meet her.
She was Alisa, after all, the seductive goddess that countless men flocked to—how could Julian not see her?
She grabbed her purse and headed for the elevator. Since this man liked to play hard to get, she’d go find him herself and give him a surprise.
Seeing that Alisa was heading straight for the elevator, the receptionist quickly tried to stop her. She was joking, if Alisa really got through, she’d lose her job.
But unexpectedly, Dora was faster, rushing ahead to block Alisa.
"Hey, didn’t you hear? My cousin is busy working and doesn’t have time for you, why are you trying to force your way in? Do you have any decency?"
"Cousin?" Alisa gave Dora an up-and-down look, "Do you know what kind of relationship I have with President Hawthorne?"
Dora said, "Of course I know, you have no relationship with him whatsoever. My cousin is married and is very self-disciplined, he has nothing to do with women outside of marriage."
"That’s for other women, but I am a different kind of woman."
Alisa flashed a confident smile, "Please step aside, I have business to discuss with him. If I delay important matters, President will hold you accountable."
"My cousin has already said he won’t see you, which means there’s nothing important enough to discuss. Why are you being so thick-skinned to see my cousin?"
Talking about business dressed like that? Give me a break.
Besides, from Alisa’s words, it sounded like she had a special relationship with Julian—did she think Dora couldn’t hear it?
She wouldn’t let this woman take advantage of the situation and ruin her cousin’s marriage with God Sterling.
God Sterling was so excellent, if by any chance her cousin really lost control and got involved with another woman, God Sterling would definitely not want her cousin anymore. Dora liked her cousin and wanted to consider his marriage for him.
Alisa didn’t want to waste words with a little girl like Dora, so she took out her phone and directly called Secretary Jones.
"Secretary Jones, it’s Alisa. Could you ask your President if he still wants that land in the south of the city? If he wants it, he should come down to receive me himself; I’m downstairs at the Hawthorne Group."
She hung up after that, shrugged, and gave Dora a look.
Dora glared at her.
Shortly thereafter, Secretary Jones walked out of the elevator, "Miss Alisa, hello, sorry to keep you waiting, we didn’t realize it was you just now."
After all, there are quite a few people named Alisa.
Alisa asked, "President? Why didn’t he come down to meet me himself?"
Secretary Jones replied, "President is in a meeting and asked me to invite Miss Alisa up first."
Alright, Alisa half-satisfied, proceeded to get into the elevator with Shaun Jones.
Dora grabbed Shaun Jones, "Secretary Jones, what’s going on? How can you take this woman to see my cousin?"
Secretary Jones said, "Miss Dora, Hawthorne Group has a partnership with Miss Alisa; this is business."
Alright, since it’s business, she couldn’t stir up trouble.
"Then you must keep an eye on this woman, don’t let her near my cousin."
Secretary Jones smiled, "Rest assured, it won’t happen."
It’s a joke, Julian would never let any woman, except for Paige Sterling, near him.
Even if Alisa did manage to get close, she would just end up being retched on by Julian.
Secretary Jones remembered last time, Alisa had been confident in her beauty, wanting to get involved with Julian.
The way Julian handled overconfident women was by doing nothing, allowing them to get close before vomiting all over them.
Having a beautiful, sexy woman come on to you, only for you to be so nauseated you vomit on her; that would be a devastating blow to any woman.
Especially to someone like Alisa, who was extremely confident in her beauty.
Back then, Alisa’s expression had almost twisted with rage, and she swore that she would never give that city-south land to Julian.
Julian wasn’t worried; selling that land, Alisa would find it very hard to find buyers.
Sure enough, Alisa couldn’t stay calm and came looking for Julian.
After last time’s lesson, surely she wouldn’t dare to throw herself at Julian again.
Got to say, our President’s peculiar condition is... quite useful...
When Julian finished his meeting, Secretary Jones informed him that Alisa was waiting in the office.
Julian nodded and went into the office.
Alisa was sitting in Julian’s office chair, giving him a sultry wink, "President, it’s been so long, I’ve really missed you, haven’t you thought of me these days?"
Though last time’s incident with Julian puking on her had hurt her self-esteem, it also made Alisa more determined. Conquering a man who doesn’t like her, turning him into someone who is crazy about her, isn’t that more of an achievement?
