Maeve Yardley saw their mocking expressions and became even more incensed, "I am the company’s heir! How I handle things is none of your business! You just need to follow my orders!"

A few executives looked bewildered. How did she suddenly become the company heir? Isn’t this a joke?

At that moment, a voice suddenly came from the door, "How come I didn’t know the Yardley Family changed heirs?"

Everyone looked towards the door and saw Rhona Yardley, the true eldest daughter of the Yardley Family.

A few executives greeted Rhona Yardley, "Eldest Miss."

This sincere address of "Eldest Miss" seemed to intentionally slap Maeve in the face, making her feel her face burning.

Rhona looked at Maeve with a mocking expression, "Maeve, tell me, when did the Yardley Family become yours? How come I wasn’t aware?"

Maeve’s face looked unpleasant, which was what she minded the most.

Rhona was sickened by Maeve acting like that.

"Who is truly excessive here? Why did Julian Hawthorne hit you? Why am I criticizing you? Don’t you have any sense in your heart?"

Maeve stared fiercely at Rhona. Why did Rhona keep holding onto this point?

What right did this woman have to be arrogant in front of her, to criticize what she did?

She was just a fool who relied on her parents. Though she had no abilities, she was so sharp-tongued and unlikable; what man would find her appealing?

If a man were willing to marry her, it would only be for the Yardley Family’s money.

But she had no self-awareness at all and dared to boss around at her, someone who made significant contributions to the Yardley Group.

If she really left the Yardley Group, who knows how it would operate.

This fool didn’t know how to win her over but dared to treat her like this.

Uncle had been wise his whole life, yet somehow he had such a foolish daughter; who knows how helpless he felt.

"Rhona, I hope you understand that we are family. You should trust me, not listen to outsiders. I approached the Hawthorne Group with seriousness and responsibility. The Hawthorne Group deceived us, changing negotiators suddenly and laying hands on me. This is provocation to the Yardley Group! You don’t criticize the Hawthorne Group but blame me. Is this really my fault?"

"Right, it’s not your fault. You can never be wrong. It’s always others harboring ill intentions to harm you. You could never have any fault."

Rhona laughed coldly, "You think you’re so innocent. Have you ever wondered what people who’ve cooperated with you say privately? One or two can be said to be narrow-minded, but when everyone says the same about you, shouldn’t you reflect on yourself? You embarrass yourself, don’t bring shame to our Yardley Family."

Maeve was unconvinced by Rhona’s words, and so the two sisters started quarreling.

Maeve angrily said, "Rhona Yardley, who really brings shame to the Yardley Family? Who does nothing but shop all day, only knowing how to travel here and there, spending money without relieving the family’s burdens, making Uncle embarrassed to mention such a daughter? Isn’t the disgrace yours? Shouldn’t you be the one feeling ashamed? Do you still have the face to criticize me?"

"I spend my father’s money; what’s disgraceful about that? Unlike some who, living in someone else’s house and spending their money, don’t see themselves as outsiders, clinging on and refusing to leave."

Maeve retorted, "I have the Yardley name. The Yardley Family is my home. Why do you say I’m clinging?"

"Ha, you might have the Yardley name, but you’re not part of our Yardley Family. My dad isn’t your dad, and our Yardley Family isn’t your home."

Maeve’s eyes reddened. She hated when people said she wasn’t part of the Yardley Family.

Clearly, she was named Yardley, clearly the Yardley Family should have a share for her, and clearly, she worked diligently for the Yardley Family all those years. Why should she end up with nothing?

What right did Rhona have to say this about her?

"Rhona Yardley, you’re outrageous! I’ve given so much to the Yardley Family, and you treat me like this! Are you even human?"

Maeve laughed, "Always saying you’ve given to the Yardley Family, what did you contribute? Eating and staying with the Yardley Family, clinging on to us, causing chaos in the company. Are the losses you brought to the company few? People might really think you’re a big contributor to the Yardley Family, making it seem like the Yardley Family would collapse without you."

Rhona herself wasn’t gifted in business, so she was fully aware of it and never interfered with the company affairs, leaving everything to her dad and brother. After all, her dad and brother wouldn’t treat her unfairly, and there’s no need to fight with her brother over the inheritance like other children.

Yet, her biological daughter didn’t engage in intrigue for wealth, while Maeve started the fight first. Without the ability, she insisted on staying in the company, bringing trouble, and her dad was the one cleaning up her messes.

She felt sorry for her dad.
