Rhona continued, "My dad felt sorry for your orphan situation and adopted you, but remember, Maeve, my dad only has two children, me and my brother. You will never be a child of the Yardley Family. If you dare do anything to harm my dad or my brother, I won’t let you off."

When Maeve first arrived at the Yardley Family, Rhona truly cared for her.

But Maeve’s scheming ways eventually led to Rhona developing an intense dislike for her, and they became like fire and water.

Maeve clenched her fists tightly, never admitting that anything she did was wrong; she believed everything she did was right, and she had never wronged anyone.

Rhona had no right to criticize her.

Maeve panicked, "Rhona! Uncle would never listen to your one-sided words! He wouldn’t act on impulse and fire me. Uncle values talent the most and would find ways to keep me, not let me leave the Yardley Group! You’re wasting your energy!"
