    Halsey’s heart suddenly started pounding. She looked up at him, and their eyes met across the crowded room.

    They didn’t say a word, but that look said everything–like a sweet wave washing over her.

    She answered loudly, “Here!”

    “Maybe he’s single?”

    “Come on. You just want him to be single so you can be his girlfriend!”

    Their eyes sparkled. Sure, guys were everywhere, but good ones were as rare as diamonds. That made the fight for them real.
