The Heartbreak Prescription
My Dad Please Come 1024
Halsey held her pen, sketching designs on paper. She looked up at Zada and nodded. “See you tomorrow
Zada waved and left.
Ding!
Halsey’s phone buzzed–it was a WhatsApp message. She opened it.
It was a text from Shaun. [Hey, honey, ss over yet?]
Last night she had said yes to his proposal, and now he was already calling her “honey“. Halsey’s heart warmed.
She typed back a reply. [Just finished, honey!]
Shaun’s reply was instant. [Thene out now. I’m already outside the gate.]
Halsey’s delicateshes fluttered. [You came to pick me up?b] /b
Shaun, ever confident, answered, [I’m taking you to try on wedding dresses!]
Halsey’s lips curved into a small smile. [Okay, I’ming now.]
b[/bI’ll be waiting!]
She put away her pencil, stepped out of the ssroom, and walked toward the gateb. /b
Soon, she spotted Shaun’s luxury car parked across the street. Last nightb, /bshe had told him to park there instead of right in front of the school–it would’ve been too shy. Shaun had done as she said.
Even so, she noticed several girls‘ eyes on him from across the street.
Shaun had already stepped out of the car. Dressed in a sleek ck suit, he stood tall and handsome beside the vehicle, the evening sunlight casting a golden glow over him. He looked as if he had walked straight out of a painting.
When a man is both rich and stunningly handsome, the effect on women is nearly unstoppable.
Halsey noticed all the girls staring at him. She quickly crossed the street and reached Shaun’s side. “Hey, bMr. /bLane.b” /b
Shaun smirked. “You called me ‘honey‘ in your text. bNow /byou’re calling me Mr. Lane in personb?/bb” /b
Halsey raised an eyebrow. “So many people are watching. Of course, I’m embarrassed to call byou /b‘honey‘ here.”
Shaun didn’t seem to care about their stares. He wrapped his arm around her soft waist, pulling her into
his embrace, and gently pinched her smallb, /bcute nose. “Honey, are you jealousb?/bb” /b
Halsey tilted her head up. “Yeah, I am. So what are you going to do about it?”
Shaun grinned. “I’ll cheer you up!”
He bent down and kissed her.
“Wowb!/b”

Halsey heard the collective gasp from the girls across the street–Shaun had kissed her right in front of
them.
He pulled back slightly, smirking. “Better now?”
Halsey beamed and stood on her tiptoes to nt a kiss on his handsome face. She called softly, “Yeah,
honey!”
Shaun, teasing, said, “I didn’t hear that–say it again!”
Halseyughed and repeated, “Honey! Did you hear me? Honey, honey, honey!”
Shaun pulled her back into his arms. “Loud and clear, honey!”
They lingered like that for a moment before Halsey pushed him gently. “Let’s go. It’s too public here.”
Shaun opened the passenger door. “Hop in.”
Halsey nodded. “Okay.”
She was about to get in when a familiar voice rang out. “Halsey.b” /b
She turned. It was Sierra.
Halsey froze. “Oh, hey, Sierra.”
Sierra nced at her, then at Shaun. “Who’s this?”
Halsey introduced them warmly. “This is my fiancé, Shaun Lane. Shaun, this is my ssmate, Sierra
Fletcher.”
Shaun gave Sierra a nod–polite, distant, and noble.
Sierra said, “Hello, Mr. Lane.”
Halsey asked, “ss is over. Aren’t you heading home?”
