The Hero of Hypnosis
Chapter 408: Horisia versus Flaxem
CHAPTER 408: HORISIA VERSUS FLAXEM
"And that’s the current state of the continent." Sekmala finished explaining everything that she had learned in Sunlight City.
"Dammit! Only if I was able to kill that Flexom bastard when I had the chance!" Horisia saw that as her biggest failure. She didn’t understand how the man was so strong that he was able to contend with her, but it didn’t matter. What mattered was that she had lost, and now the kingdom was about to suffer.
"Don’t beat yourself up. Kai said that he was amped by some crazy power that can make people extremely strong. It only made sense that you would lose." Sekmala was trying to cheer Horisia up, but her words barely did so.
"Still." The hero grumbled.
"What is your plan?" Kai asked Sekmala.
"I’m preparing everyone for the inevitable. We have the aid of your...demi-humans, and they have been extremely helpful. More than helpful, even. Also, you managed to save some of our people who were on the path to death."
Osiren joined in. "It’s unfortunate that we cannot go to the other cities to regroup with the remaining resistance members, but we’ll have to do with what we have."
"Well, you have us, so you’ll be fine," Amaya smirked. She was all for this upcoming battle and would fight like a beast with no shackles.
Nadya was looking at the map Sekmala had out on the table and noticed that there were multiple places she had marked.
"Do you plan on dividing forces?" She asked
Sekmala nodded. "Yes. While our numbers aren’t the greatest anymore, we still have a lot of people on our side, which includes the demi-humans. They will only deal with the foot soldiers. As for the stronger people, that’s where we all come in."
"I’ll deal with Setton." Osiren had a score to settle with him, and after he completes the fourth temple, he would kill the man.
"I’ll deal with Flexom. I will make sure to end him this time." Horisia clenched her fists.
Kai nodded. He then turned to Sekmala. "So that means you will handle Apophia?"
"What? Are you insane? I can’t fight a demon king! I’ll get killed in an instant! We assumed you would handle her."
"Oh, right. I honestly forgot about myself."
All of them continued to talk and make plans about what they plan on doing when the time comes to fight for their lives. But during their planning session, the ground started to shake, and the sky turned purple.
"What’s going on?!" Osiren rushed out of the room they were in, stepping outside to see what was happening.
A large pillar of demonic energy that came from the capital was shooting up into the sky, turning the continent into a demonic hellscape. Demons rained from the sky to cause damage, destruction, and death. All in the name of Apophia.
"Shit! I didn’t think we would have to deal with this shit so early! I have to get everyone ready!" Sekmala left the room to lead her people.
"I’m going after Flexom!" Horisia got up, used the chalice to make herself stronger, and took off.
"Sweet. Sasha, Kyana, and Nadya, you three go with Osiren to the fourth temple. After he gets the orb, take him to the capital." Kai implanted his knowledge of its location in their heads.
"The rest of you, do whatever you want. I’m going to have a little chat with that demon king who rejected my sexual advances."
---
Horisia was flying as fast as she could to the palace, eager to end the life of the false king. She was determined to succeed and wouldn’t fall victim to him a second time.
The power of the chalice was flowing through her body, strengthening her power past its limits, and with that, she was confident in her ability to kill Flexom.
Soon, she arrived at the castle, killing the guard who tried to stop her, and stormed into the throne room.
"Who dares barges into MY throne room?!" Flexom’s voice boomed with anger as he sat on the throne.
"I do, you false king." Horisia hissed back at him.
"Heh, the puny hero returns. What, did you want to die by my hand this time?"
Horisia didn’t respond. She gritted her teeth, summoned her blade, then powered up to the max, shocking Flexom.
He vividly remembered their fight and how he would have lost if it wasn’t for the primordial decay that flowed through his veins. That power made him vastly stronger than before and allowed him to critically injure Horisia.
The hero should have died, yet here she was, healed and even stronger than before. Still, Flexom wasn’t worried. He was still confident in his ability and would see that Horisia was killed today.
A grin formed on his face as a servant walked up to him to hand the king his weapon. He grabbed his Khopesh, then swung it down with such force that the servant was cut in half from the shockwave.
"Alright, little hero, let’s have this rematch. But know, once I beat you, you’re becoming my sex slave, and I’ll humiliate you for the rest of your life. I’ll string you up in public and have all the horny men out there have their way with you!"
"Is that supposed to make me lose my cool?" Horisia asked, because if that’s the case," She disappeared from her spot, appearing right in front of Flexom. "Then it wont work on me."
She swung down with all her might, cutting Flexom’s chest with her sacred blade. The false king managed to avoid just in time, only getting a minor cut across his chest, but he wasn’t expecting her to move that fast.
"What did you do?" He asked her. There was no way someone could get this powerful within a month’s time, unless they were like him.
"Did you get the decay energy?!" He demanded to know.
"The only power I have is from my one and only goddess!" She rushed in once more, but this time. Flexom was ready, and their swords clashed, sparks flying all around them from the pressure they were putting on each other’s blades.
