CHAPTER 414: MORRIGAN! I’M HERE!

"Who the fuck are you calling a monkey?" Kai had to hold himself back from blasting their heads off just like he almost did with the demi-humans

"Huh? Isn’t that what you’re called? Morrigan told us to address you as such." The demon looked extremely confused and slightly scared upon feeling Kai’s power.

"Why the hell would she tell you to address me as...did she see me meeting the demi-humans and think that calling me this would be funny? I need to have a word with her."

"Alright, I’ll see you later, man. Have fun." Leo waved Kai off.

"Ight, see ya, bro."

"Please follow us. We’ll lead you to Mistress Morrigan. We have to move quickly because Demon Queen Apophia has the whole realm on lockdown. She’s very angry."

Kai wasn’t surprised. Her advisor betrayed her, wanting the title of Demon Queen, and Kai killed her. He’d be pissed off if that happened to him as well.

The demons started flying in a certain direction with Kai following them from behind.

"So, why were you all just chilling over there?" He asked them.

"We were not cold; we were scouting to see if the Queen’s army was approaching when you arrived. Mistress Morrigan told us about you helping us out, so we were aware of who you were."

"That’s awfully convenient."

"This is the demon world. When you need something, the world will direct you to what you’re looking for."

"Really?" Kai thought that was pretty cool.

"Ha! No, stupid! What a dumbass!"

Kai killed him.

"Anyone else wanna joke around like that?"

No one responded.

"That’s what I fucking thought."

The remaining demons led Kai to a mountain that was protected by a layer upon layers of magical defences, well, demonic defences.

After passing through them, the mountain disappeared, and in its place was a large, ancient-looking city with a large palace in the middle. The city was circular in nature, but around that circle was a square wall that looked like the place where the military operated.

"Pretty nice place," Kai said out loud.

"Y-Yes. Lady Morrigan said that this place will be the new capital of this demon realm once she becomes queen."

"I see." Kai ended up sensing Morrigan’s demonic energy, so he teleported straight to her without waiting for escorts.

"Good work. Have our men check out this area to see if any activity is going on there. If not, we’ll claim it because this will be a vital position to have when the war breaks out." Morrigan said to her advisors.

"Yes, Lady Morrigan."

"Next!"

"Do I have to wait in line, or can I talk to you right now?" Kai asked, stepping forward.

"Kai! You made it. Nice to see you here." She gave him a hug, then sat him down next to her.

"This place...sucks. Like it’s ass. I wanna leave already. Because what the fuck do you mean a squirrel can open its mouth like a snake?"

"Haha! It’s your world that has the weird animals, Kai. Honestly, I don’t know why the demon kings always want to take over the overworld. It’s so...boring."

"Boring?! You know what, that’s okay. I like boring. You seem pretty energetic.

A smile crept onto her face as a giggle escaped her throat. "How can I not? I’m going to become queen soon."

"I guess that’s fair. Anyway, why are you preparing for war? I can just take care of everything in an instant."

"Really? You’ll do that?"

Kai shrugged. "Yeah. Honestly, I don’t wish to stay here any longer than I have to, and I want to head to the next continent already. So I want to get this over with."

Morrigan nodded. "That sounds good to me. Okay, let me tell you what I will need. First, I need you to kill Apophia. Once she dies, she will eventually reform because she’s a part of the demon realm. So, you need to separate her being from the essence of the demon realm."

"I’m assuming that you’re going to absorb that essence?" Kai asked

"That’s correct. Once I do, then I’ll become the Queen of the demon realm, well, this realm. There are six other realms after all."

"Speaking of the other realms, what do your sisters look like?" Since Kai was doing this, he might as well tackle Sarkylla and Eridani as well.

"Read my mind. I’ll also tell my sisters to be aware of you and that you’ll be making them queens."

Kai did as she told him to do, and he got a picture of her sisters in his head. He sent two clones to the other continents, then realised that he had no way of travelling to the demon realms.

"Uhh, can I travel to the other demon realms from within this demon realm?" Kai asked

"You can. It’s like travelling in your world." Morrigan nodded.

"Sweet." Kai’s clones teleported back to this demon realm, then headed in the direction where Eridani and Sarkylla would be if he were travelling on the surface.

"Now, where can I find Apophia?"

Morrigan made a circle of demonic energy, and an image of Apophia emerged from it.

"Huh? Ha, so you finally decided to contact me, huh, you stupid fucking traitorous bitch?!" Apophia hissed

"Hey." Kai waved at the screen.

"F-Fuck! Kai?! What are you doing here? No! I’m glad you’re here, because with my true power, I’ll fuck you up so bad that your father will beg me to let you go!"

Kai didn’t know if she was fearless or stupid. Most likely stupid, but even stupid people know what danger is. So maybe she was both.

In an instant, Kai teleported behind her thanks to seeing where she was.

"Let me ask you a question, Apophia."

"Sure. I’ll allow you to speak before I kill you."

Kai frowned, but then started to ask his question. "Do you like the current cycle of invading the human world and fighting the hero?"

"Uhh, yeah, why wouldn’t I?"

Kai nodded. "I see. That’s all I wanted to know."

"Cool, you can die now." Apophia, now at her full power thanks to being in the demon realm, fired a wave of power at Kai’s face. It was enough to decimate anything it touched and would be the end of anyone.

Unfortunately for her, Kai was, well, Kai. He never truly went all out, except when he fought his brother, that avatar of him.

He tanked the blast with ease, not even being damaged in the slightest. The perks of being a demigod outside of the normal hierarchy meant that he was stronger than a normal god.

"Sorry, Apophia, but this was fun while it lasted." He evicerated her from existence, separating her soul from the essence of the demon realm.
