CHAPTER 483: NO! NOT THE CHONK!

*Pat *Pat* *Mwah!*

Sticking true to my word, the individual that beat the rest to the tigers was a fine looking young chap named Dylan. He didn’t blush like one of the women would have done, or so I would guess, but a radiant smile and a look of satisfaction was on his face as he walked back to his group, allowing me to hold hands with my date again.

Below us in an enclosure was a pair of tigers. I wasn’t sure If I was remembering incorrectly, but they looked a lot different than I remembered. Their fur wasn’t orange, white and black. It was a greenish complexion with hints of black stripes running throughout. Their bodies Also seemed a bit bulkier than the lithe image I had in my vision, but they were still majestic and beautiful. I just assumed it was either due to a longer evolutionary path changing their fur due to natural selection or they were simply dyed by the zoo and left it at that for now... They were extremely cute and beautiful and that was the best part.

"Wow." Keyla suddenly appeared next to me and sat upon the railing of the open sky enclosure, looking down at the animals and getting a scolding gaze from Ethel as the children would get ideas that it was safe if she stayed there too long.

"You tend to forget that these are supposed to be ’apex’ predators huh? Look like a couple of pussies to me, literally." She said, causing the children nearby to begin giggling. "Keyla said a swear!"

Ethel was not amused, Keyla rolled her eyes and then got down from looking. "Funny how I could rip them limb from limb huh? I mean Sapphire makes them look like bunnies." The mention of Chonky chonk, caused the kids to become excited again as they began requesting Sapphire, even chanting her name over and over again.

"Sapphire! Sapphire! Sapphire!"

In my Mindspace, The sleepy girl opened her eyes and yawned. There was a lot of mentioning of her name and she was confused why until she began accessing memories of the day.

All was well and she wasn’t going to leave the Mindspace for a bunch of cubs, but then a certain thing Apollo said struck her entire existence.

"Moo!"

She got to her feet hastily. This was outrageous. Other large felines could not be cuter than she was! How dare her master think such things! Sapphire wouldn’t let this stand. She was about to bring the cute on!

As the children continued chanting, I was about to call on Sapphire when they all suddenly stopped chanting and hid behind Ethel in fright. Turning around as I could feel her presence behind me, I looked up to give my chonk her obligatory scritch tax for making her leave her comfort. Only she wasn’t looming above me.

I suddenly felt a heavy force boop against my chest causing me to look down and became shocked. "NO MY CHONK! WHERE HAS YOUR CHONK GONE!" I screamed in panic.

Sapphire was still large, two meters tall on all fours, but her body was smaller, her muscles gone. She was still thick for a cat of her size, but more built rather than the chonkasaurus her name usually entailed.

Her body was more lithe, looking a lot more like the jungle cat I killed back on the Kermin world and less like the potential of evolution my unique power created her as. And while I was worried about her, I was also intrigued.

She didn’t look in pain, but it looked like Pure blue Psionic energy was bleeding from her back and tails, from quick assessment I judged that she is simply storing herself within herself like I store my armour in my gene code, but due to her mass, she can’t store everything so she is venting out power she cannot use.

This wasn’t really a problem, it just meant that she couldn’t continue to exist out of the Mindspace indefinitely like she could before having to dematerialise, but that has never really been an issue as she only comes out for play play and fighting.

Going over the rest of her body, her skin was still tight and thick, her paws still had massive claws that could easily rend through anything inside of this zoo and her head. I immediately glanced down into the enclosure to the Tigers that were watching upwards warily before looking back at Sapphire, noticing the similarities and finally everything clicked.

As I narrowed my eyes with a smug look, Sapphire, naturally being an extension of my soul, knew exactly what I was about to do and did a pre-emptive strike. Sitting down on her rear she looked at me with large wet eyes and went.

"Mow!"

The softest little noise she ever could make escaped her maw and I could feel my heart attempt to stop beating, thankfully my Genetic enhancement forced it to keep pumping when it really wanted to stop or I would have been a goner and off to the next place.

To add to the damage, she then hit another adorable mow and rolled onto her back, clearly wanting belly rubs. As the information of my Psionic ability naturally informed me after figuring out how to use it, I decided not to admonish Sapphire for keeping the fact she could alter her body to any size she chose, to a certain point, for a better part of a year and decided to take the opportunity to give her all the scritches.

"Aww, such a cutie patootie. You are even closer to the really chonky chibi now aren’t you? AWhuhawww! Someone jealous that the tigers were getting all the attention? Nothing is cuter than my little Sapphire.

"Mow! Prrrrr~!" I was about to go into sensory overload, the kitten just purred! Looking over to the kids, I noticed wide eyes galore, even the teens looked over, especially the girls. "Come on everyone. Give my little cat some scratches, she is loving the attention, just watch the claws, they are very, very sharp."

There was a halt of movement, no one wanted to move towards the giant blue feline ’Heh, little did they know...’ Out of everyone, it was a fellow blue skin that came over first and began stroking her.

"Oh Apollo! She is just beautiful! OH and her skin! While I don’t know about the glowy stuff, I can tell her skin is in pristine condition. Also, where did she come from? You said you were bringing her out. Was she in your Mind thingy?"

Talia’s uplifting attitude was what broke the camel’s back, causing the others to come over and begin fawning over and petting Sapphire all over. I smiled and crouched down as I watched Sapphire soak up all the attention. She wasn’t usually an attention seeking kitty, but from the look she was giving me from the corner of her eye and that smug expression on her face only I could tell was there, she was loving this!

Honestly though, as I looked at the new form in front of me, I realised this was a blessing in disguise. Sapphire was big usually, it limited her ability to move indoors. Now that she has finally shown this form, she doesn’t have an excuse to stay inside my Mindspace and sleep all day and night.

Sapphire’s enjoyment of the attention ceased immediately hearing that... She loved sleeping all day and night... But what Apollo thought next made her relaxed again.

’This just means now that she can become my blanket more frequently and we can have more cuddles during the day’

As everyone enjoyed the great joy of life that was petting a chonk, Ethel was running around the beast keeping the sporadic children from hurting themselves, two of the boys kept on placing their hands into Sapphire’s mouth while another girl almost tripped and impaled herself onto Sapphire’s claws.

And while that was going on, the group of teens began snickering at something causing me to walk over and investigate. "What’s so funny?" I asked, causing the group to clench up and stop breathing as I gazed over every single one of them.

’Damn, Sophia was right. Hormones on top of gene alteration from puberty makes these guys unpredictable.’ I sighed. "Come on everyone, don’t keep me in the dark, I will give out the same-"

One of the girls in the group, clearly being able to tell what I was about to offer, immediately blurted out in a rush. "Your pet has no genitals!" Her yelling at the top of her lungs caused Ethel to yell out. "Holly-Jane! Watch your volume around the children!"

She then turned to me and apologised. "Forgive them Apollo, their imbalances should level out by the time they become adults, it’s just part of the process." I smiled, indicating I had no problem, before turning back to the teens who had expected me to scold them and simply explained to them that Sapphire wasn’t technically a living being and that I created her my Unique Psionics and the great mothers energy, basically making her our first child together.

That caused all heads to snap towards Sapphire with a new light in their eyes... ’Their child?’ The pets began once more in great abundance by all but one, Holly-Jane who was looking up at me through her glasses? Expectantly.

I tutted before rolling my eyes and giving out the reward.
