The hivemind is conquering for me?
Chapter 505: Seductively Shocking Secrets
CHAPTER 505: SEDUCTIVELY SHOCKING SECRETS
"Why are you blue?" Nerissa replied with a coy smile that caused Janine to turn Red. "Oh? That is new." She then added as she gazed upon the Red Sepiida. Janine attempted to stammer out a response, but her nerves were shot at so I jumped in.
"Nerissa here is a Nymph. An ancient race created through the Psionic energy of the Spartari founders. She is a Psionic being. And as you now know, her beauty is on par with her power." It didn’t take long for red Janine to put the pieces together, causing her to ask.
"Wait, so the empire, you know, the one that is unbelievably speciest, has aliens as their top fighting force?" In response to her question, a voice with a mouth full of crips replied. "Well, Nerissa here is hundreds of thousands of years old and knew the founders. If anything she is more Spartari than any human alive today. If anything, the humans are the aliens here."
"Yes, Yes, Onyx, we are all aliens here and-" I started before Janine shot out of her chair like a cannon ball and darted behind me. "_Whoa! what the- O-Onyx?" Janine asked rhetorically as she looked at the sun kissed babe in front of her.
Onyx said nothing, simply wrinkling her nose to the Sepiida as she continued to munch on her snack. "When did you- No, what? I just realised, you were on the ship! Where have you been?" Janine was in a state of bewilderment while Nerissa gazed upon me curiously.
My friend had been with me through a lot and we had told each other a lot of details that could get us both killed, So as I tapped the side of my noggin, Nerissa, being the smart Nymph she was, understood the sub context of what that meant and shook her head.
"It is already risky enough entering the Mindspace of another, but to take up residence? That requires a level of trust that is honestly beautiful. So intriguing." Nerissa had missed this. How shocking Apollo was. She wondered just what else could he have in store for her...
Nerissa suddenly had a seriously dark thought as her mind wondered. She seriously doubted if she would intervene if Apollo committed treason at this point. She wanted to see everything this man had to offer. He was just, too... "Intriguing."
Since it appeared to be sharing secret time, I continued sharing, these two individuals present deserved to know and I had already planned on telling Janine months ago, I just forgot.
"So, um. On the subject of entities living in my noggin, I have another surprise I would like to introduce you to." I stated, getting serious looks from Onyx and Orchid. "Um, Apollo. I don’t know if that is the best idea..." Onyx said seriously, putting down her food. Orchid then followed up, dropping her newly adapted dialect with a slight twinge of fear in her voice. "Orchid doesn’t trust these two with that secret Apollo. It should stay away."
I frowned at my two love bugs. "So you don’t trust my judgement?" I said, causing the blood to flow out of their faces. "These are my friends, I need to share this with them. They deserve it. Janine and I have an unbreakable bond and Nerissa, well Nerissa would understand more than anyone."
"Nerissa woul- oooh you meant her... Oh I have no problem if you let the flame out." Onyx said before she picked up her crisps and continued munching. This future was fine, the other one though. She didn’t shudder as she didn’t even want to look into it, it was already bad enough she was sharing her home with that thing...
Orchid frowned. She didn’t like seeing any usurpers, but this one she had acclimatised too and didn’t hate as it wasn’t prey in any sense of the word. Even the queen liked it so she simply shrugged her shoulders and moved towards the door in case anyone tries to get in... Or out.
"Apollo, what is going on? I am confused?" Janine asked, but I ignored her for a moment as Nerissa and I locked gazes. The eyes were the doorway to the soul, a thousand words could be spoken without a single utterance.
Nerissa had acknowledged that I was taking a large step forward in our friendship, a secret even more tantalising than all of the previous ones. And from her gaze, I could tell she would not betray my confidence. We then both shared a nod at the same time before I spoke up.
"No need to be confused Janine, I am simply introducing you to another friend of mine. Sol? Do you want to come and say hello?" I said casually with nothing but a simple smile on my face.
Nerissa felt her presence before she materialised. The heat. Not physical heat. Conceptual heat. Heat that had been, currently is and will proceed to be. She was immediately reminded of a friend she lost long ago, he had a similar feeling, but nothing like this.
This felt like what she was made of, but so much more, disguised as weak. It sent chills through her existence ironically. And then it appeared, causing her eyes to widen in awe as she took in the beings’ presence.
The flaming figure was an amalgamation of body and flame. In other words it was fire mimicking a bipedal form. It looked wrong, but also, right? Nerissa took in every detail of the figure with great care. Every microcosm of its existence. This was something she had never seen before and despite her instincts screaming of danger, she placed her trust in Apollo, her goddesses namesake.
Meanwhile, Janine... "Great googly moogly! What is that thing!" She yelled as she dove behind me, causing me to frown at her and stand up, shocking the Sepiidan. "Janine, that is very rude, you should know better than to judge someone by their appearance with all the persecution you have been through." I admonished, causing the redness of Janine’s skin to disappear as she looked on, shocked at my expression.
Sol then placed her palm upon my shoulder, causing Nerissa to tense her fist as a precaution. "It is fine, my kindled. I have a sneaking suspicion the Sepiida simply seeks substance to better understand my peculiar presence.
I gave the alliterator the side eye as she began showing off again before shaking my head. "I suppose you are right. Janine, Nerissa. This is Sol. Sol is the Psionic concept of fire and heat made manifest and given body by the soul energy that Ares gave to me."
Nerissa’s eyes went wide and all hostility went out of the window. Despite the fact that ’that’ name had just been uttered, if what Apollo said was true, then... "Janine are you ok?" I asked as she began rubbing her temples with a pained frown on her face.
"No, all those words just gave me a headache. Am I really supposed to learn all of this here? I mean the fuck? Also, my brain is melting. First this green baddie shows her face and now this literally smoking hot fire chick is here. It is wrinkling my brain way too much... I think. Yeah, you can tell me about this tomorrow, I’m going to bed."
Mysteries could kiss her ass and while she was delighted that Apollo shared a secret with her and would definitely have questions tomorrow, she was just too worked up from the events of the day.
After Janine slinked away to the adjoining room, leaving the door ajar, I then turned to Nerissa who stated. "I have questions." to which I replied. "I expected as much, ask away." Nerissa paused for a moment as she watched the fiery amalgamation that looked like the face of the being before her.
The entity called Sol seemed disinterested in her altogether and simply looked at Apollo with a patterned look in regards to all the figures that surrounded him.
"Will you answer them all truthfully?" She followed up, causing me to reply once more. "To the best of my abilities without spilling any of Jewel’s secrets, she helped orchestrate our ’union’ after all.
Nerissa’s animosity for Sol had already disappeared, but in place of that was the current crutch of her existence. Her intrigue was through the roof. She had so many questions to ask that the first time in a very long time she was actually stunned with indecision.
Naturally after hearing that Apollo’s teacher, this mystery Psionic master, Jewel, was powerful enough to broker some kind of ’deal’ With this concept, A primordial concept at that, had her wondering. ’Is this Jewel a survivor of the incident?’
It seemed outlandish, but not impossible, especially now this information had come to light...
Still, Nerissa respected her friend’s wishes, she respected him even more now. This was a top of the line secret. Definitely not treason as the concept is not an alien, but still, If anyone else found out...
Nerissa felt lucky that just one day back into her long life that she had so many firsts today. She felt proud to be the friend of the man in front of her, so she didn’t have a question just yet, no, instead she had a request in the form of a question.
"Can you start from the beginning?"
