CHAPTER 200: CHAPTER 200- RELEASE THEM

"I wonder how it feels to be a pregnant woman," the Silver Emperor sneered coldly. "You should know, my brothers can turn beastly—no matter if the woman is alive or dead!" He completely ignored Charles’s warning. Right now, he wasn’t in a position to negotiate; he was gambling on whether he’d sacrifice himself for a woman.

"Shit!" Charles cursed, pulling a gun from his chest. Shaun acted fast, blocking his move. He could understand Charles’s feelings—Janice was in the Silver Emperor’s hands, so they had to tread carefully.

"Charles, calm down!" Brian grabbed Charles’s other arm from behind. The Silver Emperor’s real target wasn’t them, but Hell Gate and Black Hawk. Though Black Hawk had shown them kindness, that meant nothing compared to the woman Charles loved.

"I’ll agree to anything you want—just let me see her now!" Charles withdrew his hand reluctantly. He couldn’t tolerate the Silver Emperor insulting Janice, even if it was just words.

"I like straightforward people," the Silver Emperor said lazily, extending long fingers behind him. "As long as you don’t oppose me, I won’t make things difficult. Whatever Black Hawk can do, I’ll do better."

"I want your help to take the Gatekeeper’s throne—what do you say?" His sinister smile echoed in the cold, empty room, chilling to the bone.

"You want us to betray our own?" For Brian and the others, even death was preferable to such disgrace.

"All we can do is walk away. Your conditions? Impossible." Shaun glanced sideways at the dark figure ahead—a shadow with an imposing aura. In that, the brothers saw the resemblance between the two men, despite their age difference.

"So, does that mean our negotiation has failed again?" The Silver Emperor feigned regret, rubbing his forehead. He could tell his plan was working perfectly on Charles, who remained silent.

"Oh, and Elwin’s lady brought a man along. His identity’s unknown. I can’t say what he might become..."

Manfred. Charles knew the man the Silver Emperor meant. Both he and Janice had been taken to Australia, now in the Silver Emperor’s grasp. If Charles refused to cooperate, Janice might be safe, but Manfred would be in danger.

He owed Manfred a favor once—he couldn’t just turn a blind eye.

"Release them. I’ll agree to everything you ask!" Charles suddenly dropped his gun, meeting the cluster of shadows calmly.

"Charles!" Shaun and Brian barely had time to stop him. This decision could drag Charles into a bottomless abyss. If the Silver Emperor succeeded, Charles would be branded a traitor forever. If he failed, Black Hawk would not spare him, no matter how much he had nurtured him.

"But my decision doesn’t bind them. Let Shaun and Brian go!" Charles risked everything, willing to sacrifice himself to save the others. If this ordeal was unavoidable, he’d bear it alone.

"What do you mean? Going solo? Charles, no one will thank you for that. If you stay, we stay!" Shaun’s arrogant chin lifted as he stared at the ground. Even in the bleakest moments, these men maintained their pride.

"Shaun’s right—either we all leave together, or we all stay together!" Brian suddenly appeared behind the Silver Emperor. This was his territory; even if it came to a head-on fight, their skills could secure a clean escape. But what he held in his hands were two trump cards.

"I also promise you this—once Black Hawk is dead, I’ll erase all your records from the organization. There will be no more Hell’s Four Gods in this world!"

The Silver Emperor looked at their unbreakable brotherhood with sincere assurance.

If only Black Hawk cared for him the way they cared for each other, maybe the hatred he’d planted wouldn’t be so deep, nor his desire for Black Hawk’s death so urgent.

There was no joy or excitement in the air—only a suffocating stillness. To them, this silence was the ultimate betrayal. From the standpoint of a man, a loyal assassin to the organization, such a mark would leave an indelible shadow on their souls—a stain of shame.

"How about this?" Suddenly, a sharp voice cut through the tension, accompanied by a precise expression. Chestnut hair swept through the air in a beautiful arc as Steven and Reyn, dressed in black, pushed into the spacious hall. Reyn, calm and perceptive, was the one who spoke.

"Never expected to rattle even the notorious mafia godfather—this is quite the surprise!" The silver-black figure shed the robe draped over his shoulders, and his men quickly caught it before it hit the floor. Beneath the ghostly silver mask, a pair of eagle eyes locked onto the arriving Reyn.

"No honor at all, my lord Silver Emperor. The friends you invited are actually some of my closest allies. So, I wonder if I might make a proposal?" Reyn’s amber eyes radiated a chilling hostility as he faced the Silver Emperor.

"Of course, when Lord Reyn speaks, it’s naturally accepted!" The Silver Emperor hadn’t expected Reyn’s sudden arrival. He knew him well—because of that woman...

"Very well. Then do me a favor, Reyn. Let my friends leave unharmed, and I promise you the Gatekeeper’s throne. It will be yours, Silver Emperor." Reyn’s tall figure was wrapped in a black coat, exuding the authority of a ruler. His aura even surpassed Black Hawk’s.

"Before releasing anyone, don’t we have some personal business to settle?" The Silver Emperor’s burning gaze pierced through his lenses, fixed on Reyn’s jaguar-like sharpness. Some things didn’t need to be spoken—they understood each other perfectly.

"Oh? Lord Silver Emperor, feel free to be blunt. As far as I recall, we have no personal grudges." Though the mafia and Hell Gate had clashed over profit and power, Reyn smiled knowingly. His suspicions were confirmed.

"What I once lost... now seems to be in your hands. I wonder if I can reclaim what’s mine?" The Silver Emperor deliberately emphasized the last four words. To him, that woman was no longer family, no longer a sister, no longer a lover—she was his possession.
