Lin Xiaoyan looked at He Qi’an’s nervous expression and laughed, "I know."

He Qi’an breathed a sigh of relief, then glared at Jing Yi.

Jing Yi had never seen He Qi’an like this and found it astonishing.

"We really won’t see each other tonight; I’ll see you tomorrow. How am I supposed to get through the night missing you?"

"Or you could come home with me and stay at my place?"

Twenty minutes later, Lin Xiaoyan gave He Qi’an a fierce look, then dashed out of the car as if escaping.

"Don’t run, walk slowly, be careful not to fall." He Qi’an stuck his head out of the car window, loudly reminding her.

Lin Xiaoyan shouted without turning back, "Got it."

He Qi’an watched his girlfriend’s back, grinning, "Ouch..."

He touched his bitten lip and laughed, "Such sharp little claws!"

Lin Xiaoyan walked into the hotel and stood in front of the elevator waiting, patting her flushed cheeks with a shy smile on her face.

"Let’s rest tonight, then go to the company tomorrow. If tomorrow goes well, we can return the day after."

The elevator arrived, and Lin Xiaoyan was the first to walk in, followed by a man and a woman.

Lin Xiaoyan moved to the corner, looking up to see the newcomers, who seemed to be colleagues.

"Xiaoqing, the elevator is here." Wang He saw the elevator door open and reached to pull the girl.

The girl frowned, dodging, and sidestepped out of the elevator.

Lin Xiaoyan stood in the elevator, watching their disappearing figures, her gaze darkening.

As the elevator closed again, Lin Xiaoyan took a deep breath; she had just "seen" what would happen to that girl.

Walking out of the elevator, Lin Xiaoyan immediately called He Qi’an.

He Qi’an was still downstairs, not having left yet. He was waiting for Lin Xiaoyan to text him after reaching her room before he left.

Seeing his girlfriend’s call, He Qi’an answered with a smile, "Reached your room?"

Lin Xiaoyan: "Not yet, just about there. I just ran into a girl."

Hearing his girlfriend’s words, He Qi’an immediately understood.

"Wait for me, I’ll come up now."

"Okay."

Lin Xiaoyan stood at the room door, waiting for He Qi’an to come up. Her face was solemn as she recalled the scenes she had just "seen."

"Ding"

The elevator quickly arrived, and He Qi’an stepped out, seeing Lin Xiaoyan in the hallway.

He walked over quickly, his face serious, "What happened?"

Lin Xiaoyan took out her room card and opened the door, and the two of them walked in.

Nan Xi saw the two return and stood up, "You’re back."

I packed something new from the Four Directions Restaurant for you, it’s quite tasty."

Lin Xiaoyan saw him off at the door, "Be careful, don’t get hurt."

"Don’t worry."

Watching He Qi’an enter the elevator, Lin Xiaoyan then re-entered the room, closing the door.

Nan Xi sighed, "I didn’t expect this hotel’s staff to be so unprofessional!"

Lin Xiaoyan nodded, "Indeed, no one would expect such people! I remember when I used to stay in hotels, if the room card was lost, you had to show ID at the front desk and sign something to get a new one..."

"That’s the basic procedure for every hotel!" Nan Xi said.

Lin Xiaoyan sighed, looking at Nan Xi, "Sister Nan, you eat first, I’m going to freshen up."
