CHAPTER 359: CHAPTER 359: JIN HAO (PART 2)
"What happened? The vinegar spilled, it’s okay, Hao Hao, grandma will pour you some more, don’t cry."
Mrs. Jin heard the noise outside and came out. Seeing the vinegar on the floor, she went back inside to pour some more.
Xiao Bo came in and, seeing Lin Xiaoyan squatting on the ground, quickly tried to help her up.
Lin Xiaoyan’s eyes were fixed on the crying boy, she reached out her hand and gently held him. When she "saw" that scene again, Lin Xiaoyan didn’t know what words to use to express her current feelings.
"Hao Hao, don’t cry, it’s okay if the vinegar spilled," Xiao Bo comforted his nephew.
Mrs. Jin walked out with the vinegar, seeing her grandnephew still crying, she handed the vinegar to her son, "You go take the vinegar over."
Xiao Bo took it and was about to leave with Hao Hao.
Lin Xiaoyan looked at the child and said, "Let this child stay, send him back after dinner."
Mrs. Jin paused and looked at her grandnephew, only to see Hao Hao looking at her timidly yet hopefully.
She sighed inwardly and nodded in agreement.
"Xiao Bo, go back and get Hao Hao some clothes to change into later."
"Alright."
Xiao Bo carried the vinegar to his aunt’s house. To be honest, he didn’t want to go to his aunt’s house.
Hao Hao knew he could stay at grandma’s house, he felt happy but also embarrassed.
Lin Xiaoyan walked to Hao Hao and gently asked, "Does it still hurt?"
Hao Hao looked up at the pretty sister. It hurt, but he shook his head and said, "No, it doesn’t hurt anymore."
Lin Xiaoyan gently pulled the child and had him sit down.
As Hao Hao sat down, he softly hissed, though he held it back.
Nan Xi looked at the little boy in surprise. Just now, it was just a light bump, how could it hurt this much when he sat on the floor?!
Lin Xiaoyan watched as Hao Hao moved back and forth, seemingly trying to find a comfortable sitting position. Her gaze darkened as she looked at Xiao Bo, who had just returned, "Xiao Bo, can you find a cushion or something for Hao Hao to sit on?"
Xiao Bo raised an eyebrow, looking at the bowed-head Hao Hao, he directly said, "A man can sit on the ground, it’s not that delicate, he’s..."
Lin Xiaoyan frowned and softly scolded, "Xiao Bo!"
Xiao Bo paused, it was Lin Xiaoyan’s first time with a stern face, he was puzzled, and could only go into the room to find something to cushion the seat.
Nan Xi watched from the side, her gaze shifted from the stern-faced Lin Xiaoyan to the child sobbing quietly with his head down.
Xiao Bo brought over a sponge, Lin Xiaoyan took it and gently said to Hao Hao, "Hao Hao, stand up, I’ll put a sponge for you..."
Hao Hao glanced at the sponge in Lin Xiaoyan’s hand, his face flushed red, and he gently stood up.
Lin Xiaoyan sharply saw what seemed like a bit of blood on the couch...
She calmly placed the sponge on the couch, letting Hao Hao sit down.
She looked at Xiao Bo, "Didn’t bring back clothes?"
Xiao Bo shrugged, "His grandma said it was just a bit of vinegar, nothing serious."
Lin Xiaoyan’s gaze darkened as she looked at the head-down Hao Hao.
At this moment, Mr. Jin returned, carrying purchased meat and vegetables.
During lunch, Lin Xiaoyan watched the obedient Hao Hao eating and asked, "Are Xiao Hao’s parents home as well?"
Mrs. Jin shook her head, "His parents went out to work, he stays home with his grandparents."
Lin Xiaoyan: "Do his parents come back every year?"
Mr. Jin: "Just during the New Year for a couple of days, the rest of the time they’re out. When Hao Hao was about one year old, his parents left, so the family is used to it."
Upon hearing about his parents, Jin Hao looked up at everyone, then lowered his head again.
Xiao Bo looked at Xiao Hao beside him, then looked at Lin Xiaoyan, guessing if there was something wrong with Xiao Hao.
After finishing the meal, Lin Xiaoyan announced she was leaving.
Mr. and Mrs. Jin tried hard to persuade her to stay, but Lin Xiaoyan declined.
Nan Xi drove away with Lin Xiaoyan, leaving Xiao Bo behind at home.
After leaving Xiao Bo’s house, Nan Xi finally asked, "That Xiao Hao... is there something wrong?"
Lin Xiaoyan sat in the passenger seat with a blank expression, looking straight ahead.
"Yeah, when I bumped into him, I saw some scenes..."
"Bastards!!!"
Nan Xi stopped the car, her face full of rage.
Lin Xiaoyan closed her eyes, her face looking extremely unpleasant, "No, not even as good as bastards!"
Nan Xi picked up her phone, ready to call the police. Lin Xiaoyan saw and stopped her, "This matter, we should talk to Xiao Bo first, after all... it’s his family."
"Fine, I’ll call Xiao Bo over now!"
Nan Xi immediately called Xiao Bo, asking him to come to their current location.
After Xiao Bo hung up, he felt a bit heavy-hearted, he suspected it must be related to Xiao Hao.
He went to the sofa, picked up his jacket, and prepared to find Xiao Yan, but stopped when he turned around.
Xiao Bo turned back, looked at the place where Xiao Hao had been sitting on the sponge cushion, and saw... a dark red stain.
Xiao Bo picked up the sponge cushion, looking at the stain, then at the sofa with the same fingernail-sized bloodstain.
He recalled Xiao Hao’s trousers, they were black, so they hadn’t noticed anything peculiar about Xiao Hao earlier.
Is this... a serious illness?
Xiao Bo felt heavy hearted. Although he rarely talked to his aunt’s family, Xiao Hao was still so young. What if he really was ill...
The whole way, Xiao Bo felt very heavy-hearted. He saw the car parked by the roadside and parked his motorbike beside it, opened the car, and got in.
"Xiao Yan, does Hao Hao have a terminal illness?"
Xiao Bo got in the car and asked directly.
Lin Xiaoyan and Nan Xi: ......???
Lin Xiaoyan looked at Xiao Bo, speechless, "How do you know Hao Hao has a terminal illness?"
Xiao Bo: "I saw bloodstains where Hao Hao sat on the sofa. Did he bleed because of an illness?"
Upon hearing this, Nan Xi couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
Lin Xiaoyan’s mouth twitched, then she chuckled coldly, "Who told you that bleeding from the butt is a terminal illness!"
Xiao Bo: Ah? Not a terminal illness, that’s a relief!
However, before Xiao Bo could relax, Lin Xiaoyan’s following words truly stunned him.
"This... no... it can’t be... how... how can it... my... my uncle..."
Xiao Bo felt as though his brain was cemented over, he couldn’t believe the words Lin Xiaoyan just said.
How could it be?
How could it be!
How is it possible!
That’s his own grandson!!!
Xiao Bo pleaded with his eyes at Lin Xiaoyan, but what he saw was Lin Xiaoyan’s resolute and mocking gaze.
Nan Xi also stared at Xiao Bo, waiting for his response.
Five minutes later, Xiao Bo calmed down, his eyes slightly red, and he said with determination, "Call the police!"
Then, they split up to take action.
Lin Xiaoyan and Nan Xi went to the police station to report.
Xiao Bo went to the school to pick up Xiao Hao, then went to the hospital for an examination.
