There are a few models for signing contracts with artists. One is to go independent, set up a studio, and fight alone. A manager’s salary is generally provided by the artists under their care.

In other words, Jian Anning wants to take the power of Yu Zexiao’s manager back from Yin Maohui. Jian Anning will receive part of the basic salary from Starlight Entertainment, while all the other money will be directly paid by Yu Zexiao.

At the recent bidding event, that American company which has been competing with Huanyu Group also showed up. Their bid was exceptionally good, and the price was high too. During the bidding, they were very active. Perhaps because the American company was there as a representative, the other companies that made it to the bidding stage also started raising their prices. Yu Jingxi also adjusted the price upwards and, in the end, the American company wasn’t resolute, allowing Huanyu Group to smoothly acquire it.

However, having just acquired that water company, new equipment is needed, and the venue needs reconstruction and employee integration. Yu Jingxi will need to conduct on-site investigations for some time.

In fact, just a second after acquiring the water company, Yu Jingxi had Secretary Yang Yiyu book the flight tickets, planning to fly over for an on-site inspection tomorrow.

So if Yu Zexiao wants to take Jian Anning home to meet his parents, it’ll have to wait until Yu Jingxi returns.
