“Tiantian, look over there, that guy is so handsome, and his eyes are green! Is he a mixed-race?” Kuang Fen, standing next to Feng Tian, slapped her arm, eyes full of astonishment as she gestured towards the group of people approaching.

Feng Tian followed her pointing direction and, at first glance, an unfamiliar sense struck her when she saw Ruan Jiaojiao. She didn’t recognize her immediately, but when she saw Xiu Xi standing beside her, she instantly recognized Ruan Jiaojiao.

She looked at Ruan Jiaojiao in surprise. In three years, Ruan Jiaojiao had grown up, become thinner, but her features were still the same. She never expected to encounter her here.

Ruan Jiaojiao was also looking over, and the two of them happened to make eye contact.

“Of course, I remember.” Feng Tian smiled back. She was the same age as Ruan Lei and the others, several years older than Ruan Jiaojiao. When she participated in that competition years ago, she boasted about the genius child who was several years younger than her, but unfortunately, they never met again nor stayed in touch.

She never thought they would meet again at this school.

Xiu Xi had a cold attitude, unlike Ruan Lei and the others who would talk with her. He just quietly stayed by Ruan Jiaojiao’s side, but Feng Tian didn’t mind. She soon shifted the topic with a smile.

When they reached the entrance of the teaching building, Yang Tao held Ruan Jiaojiao’s small hand and instructed, “Little Frog, after reporting, meet back here, and we’ll eat together.” There was a famous food street at the school gate, known for its cheap and popular student snacks.

Ruan Jiaojiao, brought up delicately, rarely ate snacks from outside. But today, she had agreed with the Ruanlin family not to go back home for lunch, and they didn’t stop her, just reminded her a few things.

Everyone agreed on where to meet up later and then dispersed.

Ruan Jiaojiao was in Class 2, just by the stairway. She and Feng Tian walked hand in hand in front, while Xiu Xi and Lu Zishu walked side by side behind them. Lu Zishu helplessly looked at the two girls with seemingly close ties ahead and turned to ask Xiu Xi, “Isn’t this just their second meeting? How did they become so close?”

“…” Ignored, Xiu Xi didn’t respond. His aura was icy cold, and Lu Zishu silently covered his nose and moved away from him.

When Ruan Jiaojiao and Feng Tian entered the classroom, there were already a few classmates there, crowded around the podium.

The homeroom teacher, surrounded in the middle, was a man in his forties, somewhat balding, with a big belly. Even sitting behind the podium, his paunch was quite noticeable. With summer clothes being quite thin, his belly looked as if it were about to burst through his clothing.

Ruan Jiaojiao knew this teacher; his surname was Wu. He looked a lot like her third uncle and appeared as kindly as a Maitreya Buddha, but in reality, he was very astute, known as Old Buddha. He had previously taught several graduating classes, and even her mom had acknowledged his ability to manage a class.
