She sat down to the side and said softly, "Go to sleep first, once you wake up, you can have the fish soup you want."

Xin Miao nodded, glancing at the somewhat lonely Ruan Jiaojiao beside her, unsure how she ended up with such misplaced kindness.

She turned her head and spoke to Mrs. Xin, "Mom, I’m so hungry I can’t stand it. How about you make me a pack of instant noodles?"

"That’s so unhealthy." Mrs. Xin frowned.

"It’s okay, I just want to drink it now. Please, go help me buy some."

"Alright, then have a good sleep; I’ll be back soon." Mrs. Xin reluctantly got up and upon leaving, instructed the nurse next door to look after Xin Miao.

After Mrs. Xin left, Xin Miao asked Ruan Jiaojiao, "Do you want to return to your body? Do you know where your home is?"

Ruan Jiaojiao shook her head.

She didn’t know where she was, and to make it worse, she couldn’t even pick up a phone.

"Do you have a phone number? I can help..." Xin Miao initially wanted to say she could help her make a call, but thinking about it, even her own family doesn’t believe such things; Ruan Jiaojiao’s family probably won’t believe it either.

Since Mrs. Xin had previously borrowed the phone, the nurse assumed Xin Miao truly intended to call home, and without suspicion, assisted her to the office.
