"Who's there!"

Officer Huang quickly drew his pistol from his waist and aimed it at the distant reeds. The night wind rustled, causing the reeds to sway in the darkness, occasionally reflecting a faint glimmer.@@novelbin@@

"If you don't come out, I'll shoot!" Officer Huang warned sternly.

A few seconds later, two figures emerged from the reeds.

Officer Huang kept his gun trained on the target, while shining his flashlight on it with his other hand. He stared in disbelief for a moment before slowly lowering his gun.

"Gao Yang, Qing Ling, what are you two doing here?" Officer Huang frowned. "Are you following me?"

Normally, Gao Yang should have been nervous about being discovered, but for some reason, he felt more embarrassed than anything else. "Well, Officer Huang, the thing is..."

Qing Ling interjected expressionlessly, "Are you a traitor?"

Officer Huang was taken aback at first, but quickly understood Qing Ling's meaning. He chuckled awkwardly. "No, why would you suspect me?"
