CHAPTER 931: CHAPTER 493: OLD TRAGEDY AND NEW POWER

It’s the Dark Stars.

A tremendous pressure descended upon them; this was no Dream Realm. The power of the Dark Stars unleashed without reservation, as though the entire Dark World was lunging towards him.

Professor Barrett exclaimed in surprise, "It’s the Dark Stars! My god, it’s the Dark Stars, how are we encountering it here? It’s the undead of the stars, the will of the star of death, an extremely powerful Black Fog Symbiont, a key player in triggering the Calamity Star Phase... Run, run quickly..."

Although Mina was trembling, she couldn’t help but retort, "But its Spiritual Power Level doesn’t seem extraordinarily high..."

"Fool!" Barrett shouted, "It possesses at least ten portions of Source in its soul. It’s not like those dumb and crude beings with only Spiritual Energy. We are no match for it, run..."

"Don’t worry," Rod said calmly, "leave it to me."

Boom!

Red light burst forth from him, powerful Spiritual Energy surged, a mist-like condensed matter spread across his body, resembling gas and liquid, like light and fire.

The ever-squinting eyes of Professor Bins suddenly widened, his murky eyeballs shot forth a gleam of astonishment, as if witnessing something unbelievable.

Amides marveled, "Is this the Beakles, the Red War God...?"

Mina and Professor Barrett were speechless, only staring blankly at the enormous red Spiritual Body expanding.

Spiritual Energy rippled wave after wave, an enormous orange-red Spiritual Body rose from the darkness.

It stood at least a hundred yards tall, its entire body ablaze with boiling crimson Spiritual Energy, the red glow draping over it like a battle cloak.

It was indeed the Giant God!

Spiritual Energy burned rapidly, an incomparable force clashed within his soul. Rod knew if he didn’t quickly end the battle, once the Spiritual Energy depleted, he would need to consume his soul to maintain the existence of the Red War God.

If the battle extended further, he would need to use the Blank. Once the effect of the Blank ended, he would die, relying solely on the Resurrection Stone to be reborn.

A swift resolution was necessary.

Divinity should not be wasted!

With a single thought, Rod exploded with overwhelming Spiritual Energy. The Red War God streaked forward like lightning, delivering a powerful punch to the skull of the Dark Stars.

Boom!

The space trembled, like a bolt of thunder exploding mid-air, with intense shock waves pushing out like a tide.

The Dark Stars was sent flying, but Rod saw clearly that its skull remained unscathed.

The red giant leaped again, delivering a barrage of giant fists like a storm, incessant rolling thunder enveloping everything, tsunami-like waves of Spiritual Energy drowning their senses.

Everyone was stunned, despite knowing of Rod’s fierce achievements, they hadn’t truly grasped his real strength.

Now it was apparent they had severely underestimated his prowess.

He was beyond just entering the Guardian level, his selection as the Fire Son’s Reserve wasn’t merely due to his merits, but also his power.

The Red War God clung tightly to the Dark Stars, launching constant ferocious attacks.

The Dark Stars tried to pry off the giant, but its intangible large hands couldn’t grasp him, with a few rips, the red giant tore free.

The eyes of the Skull King flashed with purple light, more intangible hands descended from the sky, while a dark Domain opened, the Dark Stars attempted to manipulate the Source’s power to attack the giant.

But all efforts were futile against Rod; no matter how many intangible hands descended, the red giant remained unfazed, not slowing even a fraction of a second.

The Giant God’s very existence constituted a Domain, the Source’s power couldn’t manipulate its rules; any attempted alteration involving it proved ineffective.

Professor Bins murmured, "Strong Source, Strong Source, as expected it was him..."

Seeing Mina’s puzzled expression, Professor Barrett explained, "The existence of the Red Giant is the result of a Strong Source, ordinary Source Laws naturally can’t infringe upon its Domain."

Mina whispered, "What if the enemy is also a Strong Source?"

Professor Barrett’s face turned somber, "Then it’s a King Level Monster... The outcome of the clash depends on the strength of each soul itself."

"The soul itself... not the Spiritual Energy?"

Professor Barrett smiled faintly, "Spiritual Energy is the power of the soul, but the soul’s strength does not have to be Spiritual Energy. It is a more original and powerful energy derived from ourselves. Do you understand this?"

Seeing Mina’s bewildered expression, Amides sighed, "Mina, you’re absorbed in new paths, but should not forget what you originally learned. Souls, like people, a muscular strongman surely wields more force than a frail child. Likewise, a strongman wielding a wooden club inflicts more damage than a child wielding a wooden club."

"The strongman’s intrinsic strength is the strength of the soul, and his club is the Spiritual Energy."

"And the contest between Domains is like hand-to-hand combat between strongmen. Whoever’s strength depletes first, their Domain dictates the rules of the space."

Mina understood the concept of a strongman deeply and suddenly grasped it: "After winning, can you kill the enemy directly?"

"It’s very difficult," Amides shook his head, "unless the Source Law you control is death and destruction. Generally, it is used to subtly alter the space’s laws in your favor during battle, like forbidding flight or teleportation."

"The stronger and more contrary the changes are to the Primordial Law, the greater the soul and Source Law power consumed, and one also faces the correction of the Sea of Source. Unless they’re a King, few use Domains offensively, it’s primarily defensive."
