CHAPTER 339: CHAPTER 339: I WAS JUST PANICKING AND DIDN’T KNOW WHERE TO RUN

Eleanor Hollis shot a fierce glare at Hugo Quinn. After all, they’re married now, and she hoped he’d be mindful of his words and actions.

Hugo Quinn felt a bit innocent; it was the others who came over to talk to him, he hadn’t done anything.

"Eleanor, have some of this."

He placed a slice of lotus root into Eleanor Hollis’s small bowl, with a hint of flattery.

Eleanor quietly finished eating and suddenly noticed a gaze from the side—it was Gloria Galloway’s.

Gloria’s eyes were full of envy. She wondered when she would encounter such love. Eleanor Hollis and Hugo Quinn were the couple she admired the most; she thought they were well matched.

She secretly glanced at Julian Sterling again, noticing that he had been quietly eating. Other than just now when a girl hugged him, he hadn’t participated in any conversation.

However, Jude Shaw kept teasing Hugo Quinn, saying he was being flirted with by a young girl.

Hugo kept sending him looks, hoping he’d stop because Eleanor Hollis was already about to get angry, but Jude just couldn’t take a hint.

Hugo’s hand holding the chopsticks gradually tightened, then he placed an undercooked chicken leg into his bowl.

"Shut up."

He said indifferently, and Jude took a bite of the chicken leg, seeing blood inside, nearly spat it out on the side—Hugo was clearly messing with him.

Everyone was happily enjoying the late-night meal. Just when it was about to end, a few more girls came over, not the same ones from earlier.

The girls stood in front of Julian Sterling, their faces filled with excitement.

"Are you Julian Sterling?!! Ahhhh! You really look like him! You must be Julian Sterling!"

Once the girls spoke, everyone went wild and crowded over; there was no way to keep eating now.

Hugo pulled Eleanor Hollis and ran. If they didn’t leave, they’d be blocked in there, with more and more people, making it hard to move soon.

Julian Sterling is currently the most handsome and popular male star in the entertainment circle, with tons of fans; everyone went crazy knowing he was there.

Without thinking, Gloria grabbed Julian and started running, not knowing where they were going, weaving chaotically through the crowd.

Left behind were Evan Yancy and Jude Shaw, with no one paying attention to them; everyone was chasing Julian Sterling.

"Evan Yancy, have you noticed that a girl like Gloria really suits Julian?"

Julian is not talkative; despite his gentle appearance, he’s actually much colder than them.

Especially since that woman left, he’s been unable to let go of that relationship, waiting for her to return, foolishly infatuated.

"Hmm."

Due to the crowd ahead, they couldn’t see Julian and Gloria’s backs anymore, but they had clearly seen earlier that as Gloria pulled Julian to run, Julian was happy and surprised. It was probably his first time escaping so desperately, leaving everything behind.

Gloria was panting as they finally entered a mall and hid in a fitting room.

A large crowd rushed in, and the mall quickly became uncontrollable, with fans searching extensively.

The mall was big and had many corners. Even with a thorough search, it would take a long time.

The fitting room was tiny; it was cramped with two people inside.

As Gloria closed the door, she somewhat regretted it, her face flushed, not daring to look at him.

Julian didn’t mind, after running for so long, he didn’t feel tired, leaning slightly against the wall with his eyes closed.

The atmosphere instantly became ambiguous, but Gloria couldn’t find any topic to chat with him about, only managing an awkward smile.

"We can’t go out now. They’re outside looking for us. Let’s wait until the crowd disperses."

Julian nodded, still keeping his eyes closed.

Gloria breathed a sigh of relief. This feeling of being alone was really nice. Even though she was Julian Sterling’s manager, they didn’t get much alone time. Julian was busy and always surrounded by people; she never got the chance to be alone with him.

She perked up her ears, listening silently to the movement outside. She felt the fans whispering outside and nervously swallowed. Would someone push open this door?

Just as she thought this, the door was knocked on.

"Julian Sterling? Are you in there?"

Gloria pinched her throat, pretending to be surprised.

"Who is it? Who’s outside? I’m changing clothes. Maybe you got the wrong person."

The fans were a bit disappointed. Seeing as it was a woman’s voice inside, it seemed it wasn’t Julian Sterling.

Thinking this, they immediately moved on to search elsewhere.

Instantly, the mall was more crowded, with many people recording everywhere, hoping to catch a glimpse of Julian Sterling.

Gloria let out a sigh of relief, turned to say something to Julian, but as she took a step back, her back hit a firm chest.

The space was indeed too narrow. She hadn’t done it on purpose...

Julian instantly opened his eyes, seeing her embarrassed face, frowning without speaking.

Gloria stammered, just having leaned back too far; Julian surely would think she was deliberately throwing herself at him.

"I didn’t do it on purpose. It’s too narrow in here."

Julian raised an eyebrow, seeing her flushed face, suddenly wanting to tease her.

"Narrow? You knew it was narrow but still dragged me in here?"

Indeed, the whole time it was Gloria pulling Julian, not giving him a chance to speak.

As Julian Sterling’s fan, perhaps she used this as a chance to be alone with him in the fitting room?

Blocked by his words, Gloria couldn’t respond. Remembering how she had just dragged Julian, leaving Eleanor and the others behind, her face reddened more. Next time they meet, Eleanor would surely mock her.

"I... I wasn’t, Best Actor Sterling, I just lost my way in panic."

She gestured with both hands, trying to explain.

But Julian Sterling’s expression suddenly turned serious, slightly leaned down, his cool aura suddenly enveloping Gloria.

"You like me, don’t you? I can tell; it’s something that can’t be hidden."

When he said this, there was a touch of loneliness.

Gloria’s heart ached instantly; she did like him but didn’t dare admit it.

To her, he was as distant as the moon in the sky.

She was even afraid to steal a glance, let alone admit her feelings.

But as he said, such feelings can’t be hidden, even if you cover your mouth, they’ll leak from your eyes.

She suddenly took a step forward, putting some distance between them.

"It’s just admiration, Best Actor Sterling. You should know your talent and looks attract girls."
