CHAPTER 350: CHAPTER 350: WE’RE BEING FOLLOWED

"Serena, I will hold on."

Just as he finished speaking, he felt a wave of pressure surging in.

"Miss, we’re being followed."

The driver in the front said blandly, slamming the steering wheel hard.

However, there were many cars tailing them, tightly surrounding them, no matter where they drove, always in their encirclement.

Serena Sutton’s face grew darker and darker, feeling that the person stalking her was definitely Hugo Quinn, never expecting him to catch up so quickly.

"Break through!"

Today is the day for the surgery, nothing must go wrong.

Florian held her shoulders, feeling something strange; it was just a surgery, why were so many cars chasing them? He and Serena were both gentle by nature, should not have made enemies outside.

"Yes, Miss!"

The driver obediently stepped on the gas, even as there was a car blocking the way, and rammed through mercilessly; the opponent’s hood started to smoke, yet still pursued closely.

"Miss, they’re relentless, buckle up your seatbelts!"

Beads of sweat covered the driver’s face; his driving skills weren’t bad, but the opponent was evidently more adept. Soon, several cars stopped in front of them, and there were several behind; it was impossible not to stop anymore.

Serena Sutton’s palms were sweaty, partly out of fear that the person coming out would be Hugo Quinn, and partly out of fear that Florian would find out what she had done; Florian was so kind, absolutely unwilling to harm others.

But she had no choice; if she wasn’t at the end of her tether, how could she have chosen to capture Eleanor Hollis?

"Serena, what exactly did you do?"

Florian wasn’t a fool; the other side came with such menacing force and had such superb driving skills, they were definitely not ordinary people.

Serena Sutton’s vision went dark, sure enough, she saw Hugo Quinn disembarking from the car in front, holding a gun in his hand.

The car door was forcibly opened, and the gun was pointed at Florian’s head.

"Where’s Eleanor?"

He had lost contact with Eleanor Hollis for several days, feeling uneasy, desperately needing to see her.

"Don’t hurt him."

Serena Sutton turned pale, yet heard the sound of the bullet being chambered; Hugo Quinn stared at her, leaving no room for negotiation, a faint smile on his lips.

"Where’s Eleanor Hollis?"

Serena Sutton’s face was ashen, too afraid to make any reckless moves, but Florian remained calm; after all, he was already a dying man.

"Serena, who is Eleanor Hollis?"

He truly didn’t recognize any Eleanor Hollis; why would this man be asking Serena for Eleanor?

Serena Sutton faintly tugged at her lips, "Still at the hospital, Hugo; this has nothing to do with Florian, don’t hurt him."

Hugo Quinn had them both taken down and brought into his car, then headed to the hospital.

"You better ensure she’s unharmed, or else I’ll cut up your man, let you taste what it’s like to lose the one you love."

Serena Sutton quietly sat in the car, saying nothing.

Florian looked around, noticing Hugo Quinn’s exceptional demeanor and the well-trained people around him, furrowing his brows tighter; why would Serena offend someone like this?

Soon the car stopped at the hospital entrance, Lan Yancy personally escorted Serena Sutton out, knowing this woman was clever, fearing she had other tricks up her sleeve.

But with Florian in their hands, even if Serena Sutton did have tricks, she wouldn’t gamble with Florian’s life.

Eleanor Hollis was still in the glass room; suddenly, a group of people barged in, roughly binding her to the hospital bed. She struggled for a while, seeing the doctor picking up a syringe, filled with an unknown liquid.

She only felt a sharp pain in her arm, then lost consciousness entirely.

These people must intend to take her heart; was she really going to die?

Hugo Quinn and his group rushed up, not seeing her in the glass room, immediately sent people to search. Soon, they kicked open the door to the lit-up operating room.

The group of doctors inside was about to scold them for their intrusiveness, but upon seeing Serena Sutton, they suddenly said nothing.

Eleanor Hollis lay quietly on the bed. A doctor was just about to cut open her skin with a scalpel.

If they’d been a little later, her heart would likely have been gone.

Hugo Quinn breathed a sigh of relief, scooping Eleanor Hollis up, holding her in his arms and patting her gently. Thankfully, fortunately, she was okay.

Serena Sutton saw Eleanor Hollis intact, her shoulders slumped suddenly, knowing the surgery was definitely off the table now.

"Serena, you brought her here by force?"

Florian observed Hugo Quinn’s demeanor, deducing roughly what had transpired.

Serena Sutton’s brows knit tightly, then she slowly sighed, "Florian, I had no choice; finding a suitable heart is impossible; over the years I’ve traveled far and wide, only to find her heart matches yours."

Florian closed his eyes slowly, a heaviness settled in his heart.

His face twisted, feeling as if something had scooped out his heart, leaving him breathless.

"Florian! Florian!"

Serena Sutton was startled; had he fallen ill?

Several doctors hurried to Florian, administering a substantial amount of medication, yet this time, Florian directly fainted.

Serena Sutton did not even care about the gun still aimed at her; she immediately walked over to Florian, following closely behind the doctors.

Florian had already been moved to a ward, the doctors’ faces bearing grave expressions.

"Miss Sutton, I hope you’re mentally prepared, this gentleman has at most a month left; if he has any unfinished wishes, you should hurry to fulfill them."

Serena Sutton’s mind went blank, finding it hard to believe this fact. Hadn’t it been said previously he had three months left? How had it turned into just one month?

"Miss Sutton, your husband’s emotions were too intense; you’ll need to stay by his side constantly in the coming days, or he might not even last a month."

Serena Sutton’s body went rigid, feeling as if she’d been thrown into icy water, deep shadows drifting towards her.

Florian woke up an hour later, gave her a faint glance, then averted his gaze.

Serena Sutton felt a pang in her heart; she had done all this for him, otherwise...

"I don’t want you to die, Florian; if you do, I won’t go on living either."

This was the only man she had ever loved in her life; how could something happen to him?

Florian coughed and then looked at the outside of the ward.

"Have they gone?"

By "they", he meant Hugo Quinn and his group.

Serena Sutton nodded, Hugo Quinn did not bother her, taking Eleanor Hollis away just like that.

Florian sighed, propping himself up to sit.

"Serena, I’ve never feared death; you know that."
