CHAPTER 391: CHAPTER 391: FARCE AT THE WEDDING

Right now, Xavier Crawford doesn’t even want to see the other party, Martha surely must be very troubled.

She has helped both sides.

Xavier Crawford has been in the hospital these past two days, seeing Cole Crawford’s condition gradually stabilize, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

His brother was always worried about that plane. As long as he cooperates well with Hugo Quinn, they can solve it by the time his brother wakes up, and he believes it will surely help his brother recover more quickly.

The night before the wedding, Xavier Crawford moved Cole Crawford to the Crawford Family’s place, fearing the Wexler Family would cause trouble at that time and use his brother to threaten him.

The next day, everyone got up early. A professional stylist came to arrange his look and brought out the suit that had long been prepared.

Xavier Crawford’s face was calm and indifferent, the initial joy of marrying Grace Wexler had unknowingly faded a bit.

When everything was ready, he got into the stretched Lincoln waiting outside.

Hugo Quinn and Eleanor Hollis did not get in, after all, today was his day.

"Mommy, don’t worry, Daddy will give you a wedding like this too."

Perhaps seeing the envy in Eleanor Hollis’s eyes, Marcus whispered and then tugged on Hugo Quinn’s hand.

Hugo Quinn smiled slightly and pulled her into his embrace.

"Yes, Marcus is right, you two wait here for me, today is not a day for playing around."

Eleanor Hollis nodded and kissed his cheek.

"Come back safely."

Today is indeed not a day for playing around; Hugo Quinn went to enter the basement to see what secrets it held.

Xavier Crawford’s wedding was merely to open the Wexler Family’s door.

Many people would go to the Wexler Family today, and the place would become chaotic, giving him the chance to do many things.

Lan Yancy quietly followed him as they headed to the Wexler Family.

Meanwhile, Martha also brought twenty or so bodyguards along, planning to crash the wedding and take the bride when the two exchanged rings.

Xavier Crawford cannot marry Grace Wexler; she does not like that Grace Wexler.

"Miss Wexler, congratulations."

"Miss Wexler, congratulations."

Grace Wexler, wearing a white wedding dress, slowly descended from the villa’s upper floor. Applause broke out below, and many envious eyes were cast her way.

Grace Wexler thoroughly enjoyed the attention, smiling smugly and greeting everyone.

After a while, Xavier Crawford arrived.

After his dress-up, Xavier Crawford looked very handsome, the crisp and clean suit adding an element of composure to him.

Grace Wexler extended her hand and hooked it onto his arm.

A long red carpet instantly spread out before them, extending all the way to the garden in the back.

Grace Wexler and Xavier Crawford walked down the red carpet, as children around them tossed flowers into the sky.

Hugo Quinn was in the crowd, ready to act, when he suddenly heard Martha’s voice from outside.

"Xavier Crawford, you cannot marry this woman!"

Martha was surrounded by many bodyguards, and everyone present was stunned. Was this a wedding crash?

Even the old lady’s face turned dark; this Princess Martha usually acted recklessly, but nobody expected her to be so willful as to disrupt a wedding.

Martha rushed to Xavier Crawford’s side and forcefully pushed Grace Wexler to the ground.

Eleanor Hollis had told her, the bigger the scene and the bigger the chaos, the more satisfied Xavier Crawford would be.

Though she didn’t understand the reason, knowing Eleanor Hollis had Xavier Crawford’s favor meant following her advice was certainly right.

Xavier Crawford raised his eyebrows, not angry in the slightest.

Indeed, Martha crashing the wedding gave Hugo Quinn the perfect opportunity; amidst the current chaos, surely the old lady would use the villa’s guards, leading the guards inside the basement to be pulled away.

Grace Wexler was pushed to the ground, screaming incessantly while Martha stomped on her several times.

"This is outrageous! Quickly, get someone to pull her away, today the Royal Family must give me an explanation!"

The old lady was so angry her chest heaved violently; her health was already poor, and this almost caused her to faint.

Martha showed no mercy, hitting whoever came at her, but she was a princess; nobody dared to really lay a finger on her.

She kept a watchful eye on Xavier Crawford out of the corner of her eye, noticing a hint of satisfaction in his eyes; he seemed to very much enjoy her chaos.

Martha seemed encouraged by this, causing even more commotion.

Eleanor Hollis indeed hadn’t lied to her! It seemed Xavier Crawford liked women who stirred such scenes!

Xavier Crawford took the chance to signal Hugo Quinn, yet found Hugo Quinn had already discreetly disappeared, likely investigating the basement matter.

Hugo Quinn circled the villa’s surroundings, seeing many bodyguards exit through a door, his eyes flashed, and he hid behind a pillar.

The bodyguards walked forward, wearing matching uniforms.

Just like before, Hugo Quinn knocked one of them unconscious, hid him, and donned his clothes.

Upon entering through the door, it revealed a room, empty and sparse.

He was certain this was the entrance to the basement, yet couldn’t find the switch to access it.

"Rumble! Rumble!"

Suddenly a row of stairs sank down from the floor, and several bodyguards emerged from inside, all with stern expressions, clearly receiving the matron’s order to intervene with Martha.

Hugo Quinn stood still, didn’t move.

"You, hold your position here and don’t let anyone enter."

The leader instructed two men to remain at the entrance, then hurriedly went on.

The two were yellow-skinned, appeared to be Asians.

When they started talking, Hugo Quinn realized they were actually Koreans.

"You look unfamiliar; I haven’t seen you before."

One man approached Hugo Quinn, who bowed his head.

"I know you guys, you’re quite the hotshots."

The two men were satisfied, immediately hooking arms with him.

"Today is Miss Wexler’s wedding; the matron said to guard this place well. Ah, if not for the people in this basement, we could see what the wedding looks like. Such a shame."

The man obliviously kept on chatting.

Several more people entered from outside, pressing a switch on the wall, and the stairs reappeared.

So that was where the switch was.

Hugo Quinn followed the group and entered the basement.

The basement was clean, full of rows of pharmaceutical agents, resembling a massive laboratory.

Some people in white uniforms were mixing the agents, conversing among themselves.

Around them were hundreds of bodyguards, all dressed like him.

This prevented anyone from suspecting him even if he walked among them.

These were people from the plane, conducting research here year-round, joined by medical geniuses recruited by the Wexler Family, all here.

The basement was vast, almost covering the entire estate, with top national equipment inside, no wonder the Wexler Family could develop such drugs.

Hugo Quinn walked for over ten minutes and hadn’t even covered half of it.
