CHAPTER 393: CHAPTER 393: ELEANOR HOLLIS’S BLINDNESS

Xavier Crawford’s face was filled with guilt. When he chose his brother, he knew that Grace Wexler would end up like this.

"Actually, you don’t need to feel sorry for her. This woman gave you plenty of green hats while she was in Serenford."

Hugo Quinn sneered from the side, as Julian Sterling and Evan Yancy had always been watching this woman. Because of what Marcus had said, they didn’t expect to find out so many things.

This woman was ravenous, wishing she could die in the arms of men. When Xavier wasn’t around, one man after another came out of her room.

Xavier paused, looking at the photos Hugo tossed out, and felt his head was greener than a meadow.

Grace Wexler had been doing so much behind his back.

When Grace saw the numerous photos Hugo displayed, she knew she had completely lost. Hugo had blocked all her escape routes.

She looked at Hugo with disgust, unwilling and bitter.

This man had clearly been married to her, yet she stumbled over him twice in the end.

"Hugo Quinn, do you know, I really hate you. I’ve never hated a man this much. I will curse you and Eleanor Hollis in prison, haha, don’t worry, even if I go in, there will still be someone to deal with you. I’ve already had everything prepared. Treating me like this, I won’t let you have it easy either!"

Grace’s face was shadowed, ultimately not revealing herself as Grace Lynch, desperately and angrily following behind the police.

It wasn’t until the police car roared past that Xavier came back to his senses and cast a faint glance at Hugo beside him.

"Is it still possible for me to pursue Eleanor Hollis now? I’ve thought and thought, and she is the best after all."

Hugo glanced at him and then raised an eyebrow.

"You’re already unclean. No one likes unclean boys."

"Weren’t you remarried, with an ex-wife before?"

Xavier rebutted, but his collar was quickly grabbed by his mother.

"Xavier, go to the hospital to see Cole. Don’t keep throwing childish tantrums. If you pursue her now, you’ll be a third party. Even if you’re a man, you’re still a third party, and your mother dislikes third parties the most."

Xavier immediately wilted, obediently following behind her. Dad Crawford nodded faintly, then drove the car away.

The Wexler family’s affairs were tumultuous for several days, and when the old lady awoke, she was already in prison.

Hugo was quite satisfied with this result. However, it was a pity he never saw the lady of the Quinton Family.

Three days later, Cole Crawford woke up.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw his parents by his side.

This feeling was like a dream, and his eyes were wide open.

"Brother, mom and dad are back, and the Wexler family has been dealt with."

Xavier was very happy. In front of the Crawford Family, his nature was no longer concealed—he was just like a child.

"Dad, Mom..."

Cole’s voice was calm as he slowly propped up his body.

Dad Crawford ruffled his hair. He already knew how the Crawford Family had developed over the years and felt it hard on this child, who was forced to grow up.

"You all have grown up."

"And you have aged a lot."

Cole said calmly. He couldn’t bring himself to cry tears of excitement like others; besides the initial surprise, what remained was nothing but serenity.

He never expected that after waking up, the Wexler family was done for, and Hugo truly had his ways.

He glanced at his brother, smiling slightly.

"You’ve seen Hugo’s tactics as well. You can’t match him, so focus more on work, and if you encounter women like Grace, look carefully, don’t pick up any trouble and then stupidly try to take responsibility."

Xavier was taken aback, looking at Cole in disbelief.

"Brother, did you already see through it?"

Cole disdainfully ignored him. "Only you’re the fool."

The Crawford Family reunited, everyone was rejoicing.

Hugo stayed here with Eleanor for a few days before planning to leave.

During this period, Cole had returned, but his demeanor wasn’t as cold as before. It was evident he was very grateful to Hugo.

They all had a meal together and planned to have a private jet send them back home.

Since Dad and Mrs. Crawford had just returned, Xavier couldn’t bear to leave with them, so he stayed behind, saying he’d go manage the company in Serenford a month later.

Sitting on the plane, Eleanor was still in a daze. They had unknowingly accomplished such a big thing.

Now the whole country was criticizing the Wexler family, and the affairs of the Wexler family had been occupying the headlines for several days.

Even on the domestic Weibo, there was news about the Wexler family.

Perhaps this was the most shocking news for everyone in decades.

They arrived home in the early hours of the next day.

Eleanor yawned, rubbed her cheek on the soft pillow, and felt unusually at ease hearing the sound of running water from the bathroom.

When Hugo finished his shower and came out, he found her staring out the window in a daze.

"What are you looking at?"

Everyone had been very busy these past few days, so after returning, he didn’t rush to work and planned to rest well at home.

Eleanor’s eyes were filled with confusion; it seemed like she couldn’t see anything...

She could feel the sunlight in the room, yet all she saw was darkness.

She panicked but calmed down slowly when she heard Hugo’s voice.

"I think I’ve gone blind."

Hugo quickly waved his hand in front of her, but there was no shadow in Eleanor’s eyes, as calm as a stagnant pool.

"When did this happen?"

He fearfully grasped her shoulders, his lips turning pale.

"As soon as I woke up, it was like this. I thought it was night, but I could feel the warmth of the sun. It’s morning now, isn’t it?"

Hugo nodded but then realized she couldn’t see the nod, so he said, "Yes."

"Have you eaten anything strange outside?"

He suddenly recalled what Grace had said. Grace mentioned that she had everything prepared and wouldn’t let him off easily.

"I don’t know. I’ve eaten so much in the past two days."

With the Wexler family matter settled, everyone relaxed and went out shopping, not expecting something like this upon returning home.

"Eleanor, don’t worry. It’s definitely the Wexler family’s drugs. I’m going overseas to see Grace Wexler now."

The Wexler family’s creations generally surpassed current medical technology by ten years, so even if they saw a doctor domestically, it wouldn’t work; they still had to go back to Grace!

Hugo felt a bit anxious. Even though he had protected Eleanor well abroad, how did they end up falling victim in the end?

"Darling, don’t worry, there’s nothing else wrong with my body. It’s just that I can’t see, but I’m afraid Grace won’t hand over the solution. She said she hates you and might want you to trade something with her."

Hugo gently hugged her, aware that she was equally flustered but still managed to console him.

"It’s okay. I’ll fly abroad immediately and have someone take care of you. You stay here and hold on."
