CHAPTER 48: CHAPTER 48: I’M JUST NERVOUS

Eleanor Hollis got out of the car and was momentarily surprised when she saw the sign.

She knew this place; it was a styling team exclusively for Hugo Quinn. She heard that the core members served only him all year round.

The other members were booked by the young ladies and gentlemen of high society, and celebrities also took pride in getting styled here.

It was said that the styles created here had never made a mistake. Many styles had once appeared on well-known runways, and collaborated with many international top fashion designers.

"Your bag and shoes need to be changed."

Hugo Quinn dropped a comment indifferently and walked ahead on his own.

Eleanor’s heart warmed. In fact, when she first put on this dress, she felt her shoes and bag looked a bit shabby.

Her items were not from any major brands and had been used for several years, not matching the dress at all, which made her seem a bit out of place.

She wanted to take off the dress but was afraid that Hugo would think too much, so she just braced herself, put it on, and went downstairs.

She couldn’t help but appreciate Hugo’s attentiveness again, noticing such minor details.

Having already reached the entrance of the store, she didn’t delay any longer and walked inside with Marcus in tow.

"Mr. Quinn, these are the new styles just arrived, are you satisfied?"

"Mr. Quinn, this looks very suitable for you."

When the people inside saw Hugo, they reacted as if seeing a family member.

But they were all well aware that Hugo did not like to be surrounded, so they just held their things and asked from a distance.

"Pick out some shoes and a bag for her."

Hugo gestured to Eleanor at the door, and everyone’s attention finally turned to her.

As stylists, they were familiar with all kinds of new show releases, and they immediately recognized the things Eleanor was wearing.

Those had only appeared on the runway a few days ago, not available in the country at all. Even if reserved, it would take a month to get them.

They were quite certain that what Eleanor was wearing had been airlifted over, and in Hugo’s name no less.

Having figured this out, they immediately went over and took Eleanor to the mirror, as employees kept selecting suitable shoes and bags.

"Miss, how many centimeters high are the heels you usually wear? Is this pair comfortable?"

Here, it’s not just about dressing beautifully, but also about being comfortable; that’s their aim.

Eleanor’s face turned red. It was the first time she was surrounded and served by so many people, and she was too nervous to speak.

The stylists quickly decided on a pair and continued selecting the bag, while the rest of the makeup artists started working on her face.

"Miss, your makeup doesn’t match with the dress. I’ll change it for you here."

The dress was ethereal, with a small section of skin exposed at the waist, carrying a touch of sexiness.

Eleanor’s own makeup was too plain, making her seem to lack some sparkle.

Once everything was done, an hour had passed.

Eleanor couldn’t believe the person in the mirror. The girl inside looked confident, graceful, the white mermaid dress beautifully outlined her figure, enhancing all her merits, her makeup exquisite and elegant like a blooming lotus.

Paired with the meticulously selected bag and shoes, her look was elevated by several degrees.

Eleanor never thought she would have such a noble day.

She slowly lowered her eyes, tugging at her lips. Indeed, the five years at the Quinton Family had smoothed out all her edges.

"Alright, let’s go."

Hugo looked at her back, somewhat lost, suddenly feeling he had seen this back somewhere before.

That crazy night, he indulged in his desires and let loose.

The bed, the balcony, the sofa, traces of them were everywhere.

He was captivated by her waist but couldn’t recall her face.

Hugo rubbed his head. Clearly it had been so many years, why were his memories becoming more vivid recently?

It was just a deeply unforgettable night, after which he had never found anything about Grace Lynch that attracted him.

Yet it was Eleanor before him who made him somewhat dazed.

The staff around were actually quite surprised. They remembered that Mr. Quinn’s wife was not this woman; they had seen Mrs. Lynch in the papers, and she definitely didn’t look like this woman in front of them.

Mr. Quinn had never brought Mrs. Lynch here, but today he brought another woman instead.

Although puzzled, they didn’t ask, continuing to dutifully do their work.

After all, they couldn’t understand these high-society big shots at all.

"Mr. Quinn, thank you."

Eleanor turned around and said slowly, with a slight smile.

Hugo suddenly seemed to be pricked, awkwardly looking away, grabbing Marcus’s hand beside him.

"It’s only right. You’ve helped Marcus a lot; I should do my best to help you too."

Marcus looked up at his dad, wondering why his dad was nervous. His palm was full of sweat.

Marcus pursed his lips, pulled his hand back, and walked over to Eleanor.

"Mom... Sister Hollis, let’s go..."

He remembered Eleanor’s words not to call her mom tonight, so he obediently corrected himself immediately.

The three of them got back into the car, which now genuinely drove slowly towards the old mansion.

Eleanor felt inexplicably nervous, remembering how she left the old mansion last time, with a swollen face, drenched all over.

She didn’t expect that upon returning, she would have completely transformed.

She touched the dress she was wearing; no woman doesn’t love beautiful dresses, no woman doesn’t love bags and beautiful jewelry.

She had been unwelcomed at the Quinton Family; these things were very distant from her, and she had never dared to hope for them.

But now, someone had presented everything right in front of her.

She thought of that night’s events between the two of them, and uncontrollably kissed his lips...

Eleanor’s hands tightened, and her lips pressed into a straight line.

She suddenly didn’t dare to meet this man’s eyes, afraid she might accidentally fall into an abyss.

"Miss Hollis, are you sick? Your face is very red."

Hugo was sitting opposite her and could clearly feel her change, along with her trembling lips and eyelashes.

She seemed like a little weak beast, waiting for someone to protect her.

"It’s just a bit hot."

Eleanor awkwardly opened the window, her whole body stiff like a stone.

Hugo stared at her profile, his gaze subtly changing, "Are you afraid of me?"

The first time he met this woman in the hospital, he felt her dreading him.

"Mr. Quinn, you misunderstood, I’m just nervous."

She randomly found an excuse for herself, surprising that Hugo believed it.

"Dad won’t make things difficult for you."

He had already given a heads-up, and the old master expressed understanding.
