CHAPTER 60: CHAPTER 60: BREAKING THE RULES AGAIN
"Come here."
He patted the spot next to him, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Eleanor Hollis thought he really must be drunk, so she hurried over to help him up, intending to take him upstairs.
Hugo Quinn had helped her so much; she couldn’t just leave him there and go upstairs alone to sleep.
Hugo leaned most of his body against hers, noticing her pale face, he smiled faintly, seeing her being strong.
"Mr. Quinn, you need to take another sobering pill."
She put the pill from the coffee table into her pocket and supported him upstairs.
Hugo didn’t say a word, leaving the tie he had taken off on the sofa.
Seeing Eleanor’s serious and earnest expression, he couldn’t help but want to tease her, so he deliberately slouched a bit.
It was just a few steps, but Eleanor began to sweat on her forehead, realizing for the first time that men were quite heavy.
Breathlessly, she supported him to the door, thinking that being alone in a room with a man seemed inappropriate, so she let go of Hugo.
"Mr. Quinn, here’s the pill. There’s water in the room. Remember to take it."
She placed the pill in Hugo’s palm, continuously reminding him, then turned around to head back to her room.
"Help me in."
Hugo leaned against the doorframe and said, his eyes slightly narrowed, with no one knowing what was on his mind.
Eleanor paused, and to avoid misunderstandings, she deliberately left the bedroom door wide open.
"Mr. Quinn, take it slow, watch your head."
Struggling to support him, Eleanor feared his head would hit the wall.
A fleeting smile passed through Hugo’s eyes; he had never been this unserious before.
But Eleanor’s obedient face made him want to bully her.
So, taking advantage of the alcohol, he did what he wanted, which was to tease her.
Eleanor helped him to the bed, took the warm water from the side, and fed the pill into his mouth.
"Mr. Quinn, swallow it, you’re drunk."
Hugo fixed his eyes on her, swallowing the pill along with her fingertips, then mischievously sucked on her finger.
Eleanor felt like her hand was becoming useless; the tingling sensation quickly swept through her body. This man was really...
She was at a loss for words; who knew this usually stern-faced man could be so flirty when drunk.
She sighed, took the cup, and stood up, "Mr. Quinn, get some rest. You can wait for Lan Yancy to come back."
The room door was open; this way, others shouldn’t misunderstand her.
Hugo suddenly grabbed her wrist, confusion in his eyes, then pulled her into his arms.
"Mr. Quinn!"
Eleanor was startled, thinking she would fall to the ground, but instead, she was embraced by a broad chest. The man’s scent instantly overwhelmed her senses.
Hugo’s fingers caressed her cheek, with a faint, inexplicable smile because of the drunkenness.
"Mr. Quinn, you’re drunk... mmm."
Before she could finish speaking, the man’s lips sealed hers.
She opened her eyes wide in surprise and began struggling desperately.
But the man’s strength was too great; soon, she was pinned on the bed, with her chin grasped, passively enduring the kiss.
"Mr... Quinn..."
Eleanor’s eyes held a hint of panic, like a frightened little rabbit.
Hugo liked her expression very much; it was cute.
The intoxicating scent of wine from his mouth engulfed Eleanor’s entire space.
She was angry and confused.
Ultimately, she found herself somewhat immersed in his kiss.
She knew it was wrong. Hugo was Marcus’s father; she was staying at the villa just to help Marcus overcome his autism.
But the man kissed her deeper and deeper, until finally, her reason collapsed, her face turning bright red as she looked at him.
Hugo stopped, then smiled and kissed her deeply again.
This time, it was even more overpowering. Eleanor felt like she was about to stop breathing.
She really was on the verge of suffocation...
"Do you like it?"
Hugo stopped, his gaze completely changed, as if looking at his prey, teasing happily.
Eleanor gasped for breath, and before she could speak, she felt a weight on her body. The man had already nestled into her neck and fallen asleep.
He slept soundly, and soon steady breathing was heard.
Eleanor was weighed down by him, her arms were sore.
She suddenly felt disgusted with herself. Hugo was unclear because of the alcohol, but what about her? She had been clear-headed all along.
What she had done, how was it any different from Grace Lynch?
Eleanor’s face turned pale, then red.
She carefully pushed Hugo away, seeing him sleeping deeply, struggled to move him to the bed, and thoughtfully covered him with a blanket.
Because of what had just happened, she was too embarrassed to look at Hugo’s eyes.
After finishing all this, she immediately left Hugo’s room, only to run into Lan Yancy at the door.
"Miss Hollis, are you not asleep yet?"
Seeing her come out of Hugo’s room, Lan Yancy wasn’t surprised, just calmly asked.
Eleanor nodded, afraid he would misunderstand, quickly spoke.
"Mr. Quinn is very drunk. I fed him a sobering pill. You should go check on him."
After saying this, she almost fled in a panic.
Lan Yancy watched her back, his eyes contemplative.
The boss never gets drunk; his tolerance is excellent, able to drink everyone at a table under it without an issue.
He entered Hugo’s room, seeing the man covered with a blanket, "Boss?"
Hugo indeed opened his eyes, rubbed his head, "I’m fine, leave."
Lan Yancy knew this person wasn’t drunk, but it wasn’t his place to question further, so he left the room promptly.
On the other side, Eleanor rushed into her room, leaning against the door, gasping for air.
She touched her lips, feeling they were burning hot, as well as her cheeks.
She tiptoed into the bathroom, looking into the large mirror, and saw her current appearance.
Her cheeks were flushed, lips swollen, a glimpse of allure in her eyes. Anyone not blind could probably tell what she had been through.
She was a bit annoyed, wondering if Lan Yancy knew what she had just experienced but spared her the embarrassment by not exposing her.
Eleanor sighed, slowly took a shower, thinking about how to explain the next morning.
She tossed and turned all night, unable to sleep well, and got up the next day with definitive dark circles.
Just getting downstairs, she saw Hugo reading the morning paper.
