    “Vanessa, if you end up getting arrested, don’t me the Powell family for not helping you. You brought this on yourself, so don’t me anyone else.” he said coldly.

    “Nathan, don’t worry. Even if something happens to me and I go to jail, it has nothing to do with you, because by then I will no longer be Mrs. Powell.”

If they ever found out that our rtionship was bad and that we were getting divorced, I’m afraid they couldn’t handle the blow- especially my mother. So, please keep it from them for now. Even if it’s just for the sake of how well they’ve treated you and how much they trust you, you can do that, can’t you?” A sh of searing pain crossed Vanessa’s eyes as she continued.

    Nathan’s gaze grewplicated. “Fine, I can agree to that.”
