The mask of my beloved
Beloved 62
chapter62
Vanessa realized she hadn’t transferred his fifty–thousand–dor sry from yesterday yet. Was he worried she wouldn’t pay him?
“I’ll send you today’s and tomorrow’s pay as soon as I’m done here. You can go now,” she said hurriedly.
“Vanny.” Just as Vanessa was about to leave, Evander grabbed her sleeve. “There’s something I want to ask you.”
“What is it?” Vanessa shook off his hand. This guy was pretty cooperative when it came to acting, but his mind was always in the gutter. So annoying!
“When you got off work yesterday, I heard you tell your scumbag husband that you like guys like me, escorts. Is that true? You don’t mind that I’m a male escort?” Evander leaned in close to Vanessa’s ear
and asked in a low voice.
“It’s not true,” Vanessa answered immediately, her face serious but her heart flustered. “Evan, you need to get this straight. The contract I signed with you is for you to be my fake boyfriend, just to act with me when necessary. During the contract period, you have to do whatever I say. You’re just an employee. I’m ordering you now: stop having wild thoughts, go back immediately, and I’ll call you when I need you.”
Vanessa shot him a fierce re and hurried away.
Evander leanedzily against the pir, a meaningful smile ying at the corners of his lips.
Inside the hospital room.

Kurt’s secretary was packing up his things.
He could be discharged today.
Of course, given his current physical condition, he still wasn’t fit to leave the hospital. As his attending physician, Vanessa had to apany him until he fully recovered.
Downstairs.
Three Rolls–Royce Phantoms stood there, their luxurious bodies making the entire hospital building seem mysterious and imposing.
Vanessa and two other special nurses brought some medical equipment and followed downstairs.
To Vanessa’s surprise, one of the three Rolls–Royces was actually reserved for her.
The driver respectfully opened the door for her, making a ‘please get in‘ gesture.
Vanessa looked at the staff to confirm it was her car before getting in.
Inside the luxurious car, everything was state–of–the–art, expensive and high–end.
Although she had ridden in Nathan’s Maybach before, the Rolls–Royce gave her a sense of noble luxury mixed with an air of mystery and dignity, making her feel especially respected and privileged.
The car started, so smooth it felt like she was sitting at home.
She gazed out the window.
Suddenly, a familiar figure made her pause.

Through the rearview mirror, she saw a young man in a suit get into the Rolls–Royce behind hers.
The man was tall and straight, and as he stepped into the front passenger seat, his powerful presence made it hard to look away.
But it was just a fleeting moment before the man sat down in the front
seat.
She was stunned for a moment.
Just now, she almost mistook that figure for Evan!
They really did look a bit alike.
But how could that be? Evan might be handsome, but there was no way he could ride in such a fancy car. These cars were here to pick up Kurt–only politicians or very important people, the rich and powerful, would be in them.
Thinking about Evan’s background, she couldn’t help but feel a little regretful.
If only that man had a proper job…
But then again, if he did, how would she have met him that night?
Ugh, what was she even thinking about!
A whileter, the entire motorcade stopped in front of the Linden Grand Hotel.
As the doctor, Vanessa got out first and directed the nurses to help Kurt into a wheelchair and take him inside.
Kurt stayed in arge suite, and for convenience in monitoring his condition, Vanessa’s room was arranged right next door.

By the time Vanessa finished checking on Kurt and making arrangements, it was already noon. She returned to her own room, looked up, and realized it was the very same suite Evan had arranged for her thest time she got drunk.
What a coincidence! Out of all the suites in the hotel, it just had to be this one!
Looking at the tidy sheets, her face flushed red. Suddenly, she thought of Evander and wondered what he was doing now.
Just then, her phone rang–a WhatsApp message.
She opened it, and sure enough, it was from Evan: “Vanny,, when do you need my services? Just call me anytime, I’m always avable and guaranteed to satisfy you.”
Vanessa’s face turned even redder as she read it.
That bastard couldn’t go three sentences without talking about sex. His mind was always in the gutter.
It was all Kathleen’s fault for drugging herst time and causing her to get involved with this pervert!
“Not needed.” She replied with those three words and ignored him.
