She stepped out of the elevator and, just as she exited the lobby, saw the towering, majestic building across the street. The golden letters ‘E.C. Edifice‘ gleamed in the dusk, solemn and grand.

    She couldn’t help but look up, just as she was about to turn left.

    Suddenly.

    A man in a suit, exuding an air of nobility and radiance, walked out of the building across the street. Beside him was another man who looked like an executive, listening intently and nodding from time to time.

    Vanessa stopped, her delicate brows furrowing.

    The man in the suit was none other than Evander.

    Evander seemed to notice her too. He quickly shook hands with the man beside him, exchanged a few words andughs, then waved goodbye and walked toward her.

    “Why are youing out of that building?” Vanessa asked, looking at Evander.

    Evander teased with a smile, “That whole building is mine. Why wouldn’t Ie out of it?”

    “No, I’m perfectly fine!” Evanderughed and shook his head. “Don’t be mad, I’m just joking. I have a friend from my hometown who works there. He needed something from me, so I went over.”

    “Alright, you sure have a lot going on.” Vanessa pouted.

    “That’s why, when you said you’d treat me at Linden Grand Hotel, I thought, isn’t that perfect? What a coincidence! Looks like we’re really in sync, destined to meet.” Evander’s deep voice carried a sly smile.

    Vanessa turned and headed left. “Let’s go.”
