The Master of Beasts
Chapter 351 - 21: The Caravan, Purple Butterfly Domain
CHAPTER 351: CHAPTER 21: THE CARAVAN, PURPLE BUTTERFLY DOMAIN
The Asuras, like an army, arranged themselves into a neat square formation according to their cultivation levels. Soon, an immense Flying Boat appeared overhead.
The Flying Boat embodied the Asura Clan’s consistent style: crude, blood-red, and massive.
Luo Wencheng leaped down from the Flying Boat, saying, "It’s time to set off. It’s a shame, really. The Human Clan’s merchant fleet is due to arrive in half a year, and it looks like I won’t be able to wait for them."
Upon hearing this, Chen Jiuge simply smiled faintly and beckoned, boarding the Flying Boat first.
Seeing that everyone had successfully boarded, Luo Sandao took out a long scroll of prepared remarks and cleared his throat. "Dear clansmen, it is my honor to see you about to embark on this expedition to expand our clan’s territory..."
But Luo Sandao, who had only uttered the beginning of his speech, was sent flying again—this time by Luo Changshan.
"Enough rambling! Everyone, I wish you a smooth journey. Alright, set sail!"
RUMBLE!
The giant Shura Flying Boat began to ascend slowly, plunging headfirst into the Star Sea Realm.
Standing at the bow and gazing at the rapidly retreating scenery, Chen Jiuge’s eyes sparkled with anticipation. Finally free! Once I get to the Purple Butterfly Domain and settle down, I can go directly to the Heavenly Realm Sect and return to the Myriad Beasts Sect.
The enormous Flying Boat, exuding a heavy, malevolent aura, wasn’t just immune to robbery; even the Flying Spiritual Beasts in the sky had to slam on their brakes and swerve out of its way upon sighting it.
After flying for a whole month, Chen Jiuge, somewhat puzzled, looked at Luo Wencheng, who was flipping through a map. "Brother Cheng, it’s been a month. Haven’t we arrived yet?"
Wiping cold sweat from his forehead, Luo Wencheng chuckled, "Hahaha, Divine Son, don’t be anxious. The Star Sea Realm is quite vast, after all. We’re almost there, almost there."
Chen Jiuge said, feeling rather speechless, "Why didn’t we use a Transmission Array directly?"
Luo Wencheng, however, knew the answer to this and said confidently, "Ah, this I know! It seems that due to the influence of spatial turbulence, using a Transmission Array carries a high probability of sending us to a completely different location."
"Fine then." Chen Jiuge felt a sense of helplessness. It’s my first time in the Star Sea Realm, I don’t know the routes, and I can’t make heads or tails of that chaotic map. I can only rely on Luo Wencheng... I hope he’s somewhat dependable.
"Other Flying Boats! Other Flying Boats!" The Shura on watch shouted excitedly.
SWOOSH!
Luo Wencheng immediately shot to his feet, his expression serious. "Divine Son, you stay here. I will personally go and check it out."
Before Chen Jiuge could react, Luo Wencheng’s figure had already vanished, apparently having gone over to the other vessel.
Chen Jiuge wordlessly glanced at the map, which had been carelessly tossed on the floor, and then at the other Flying Boat—only a third the size of their own. He sighed. Indeed, this is a group of brutes even less reliable than my Eldest Senior Brother.
Before long, Luo Wencheng returned, beaming, "This is a Human Clan marketplace! If there’s anything you want, go on up and take a look."
Watching the Shuras yelling and clamoring with excitement, Luo Wencheng suddenly said, "Stop! Don’t move! First, ask the Divine Son if it’s alright!"
"Elder, the Divine Son has already gone aboard, and his Spiritual Beast too," a sharp-eyed Shura pointed towards where Chen Jiuge had gone and reminded him.
"Then, let’s go!"
「Aboard the lavishly decorated Flying Boat」
Chen Jiuge, somewhat excited, grabbed the arm of the merchant vessel’s steward. "Are you from the Heavenly Realm Sect?"
A flash of displeasure crossed Wang Bei’s eyes. Even if the Asura Clan is powerful, you’re just a True Immortal. Isn’t it a bit much to be so disrespectful to a Golden Immortal like me? Too presumptuous, isn’t it?
"Divine Son, how could you come aboard alone? What if something were to happen?" Luo Wencheng’s eyes narrowed as he looked at Wang Bei.
Wang Bei’s heart clenched. Damn it, this person is a Divine Son too? He doesn’t look like one.
"So, you are the Divine Son! My apologies for my lack of discernment," Wang Bei said amiably.
"You’re from the Heavenly Realm Sect, right? Do you know of the Myriad Beasts Sect?" Chen Jiuge asked eagerly.
"Of course, I know of it," Wang Bei replied, somewhat puzzled.
"Brother Cheng, I have something to discuss with this steward. Please keep an eye on the others," Chen Jiuge said, his heart surging with emotion.
Luo Wencheng frowned slightly but didn’t say anything, simply nodding.
Gazing at the exquisite decor of the room, a look of rapt admiration appeared on Chen Jiuge’s face. He then turned to the bewildered Wang Bei and said, "Actually, I am a disciple of the Myriad Beasts Sect. Due to certain reasons, I ended up becoming this... Divine Son."
"But...?" Wang Bei gestured towards Chen Jiuge’s appearance, still puzzled. "You clearly look like an Asura, not a member of the Human Clan. Who are you trying to kid?"
Retracting his Asura Bloodline, Chen Jiuge reverted to his previous, more refined human appearance and offered a genial smile. "This is my true form. Oh, and this is my Sect Token."
After carefully examining the Token in his hand and then scrutinizing Chen Jiuge’s features—the auras of both matching perfectly—Wang Bei stammered, flustered, "I... I... I don’t even know what to say. Just... give me a moment to compose myself."
Seeing the steward’s utterly dumbfounded expression, a touch of helplessness also appeared on Chen Jiuge’s face.
The rich and familiar aroma of tea helped Wang Bei regain his composure. After pondering for a long moment, he finally said, "Let me first contact someone from the Myriad Beasts Sect who is within the Heavenly Realm Sect."
Taking a sip of the Spiritual Tea Chen Jiuge had brewed, Wang Bei remarked with feeling, "This level of tea brewing... I’m starting to believe you might actually be a disciple of the Myriad Beasts Sect."
"Excuse me for a moment."
Wang Bei hurried into another room and initiated a communication call to an Elder of the Myriad Beasts Sect whom he knew.
"I have something very important to ask you. Does your Myriad Beasts Sect have a disciple named Chen Jiuge? Oh, right—he’s supposedly the Direct Disciple of Wen Tianming, the Third Elder of Hundred Herbs Peak."
「Within the Heavenly Realm Sect」
An elderly man with a florid, graying complexion looked utterly stupefied. "A disciple from Hundred Herbs Peak? I am the Great Elder of Hundred Herbs Peak! How could I not know about this? Doesn’t Wen Tianming only have one Direct Disciple?"
