I better head to my room.

Taking the steel can with him, Chris placed it on the cash register. Dan looked up boringly, he will get a beer when Chris leaves the diner.

"I sold my car to Jim. I took the money and will buy a new car. Can you please sign the papers when he brings it in?"

"He paid you already? Where did he get the money?"

"He took a loan from the bank," or so he says.

"More like a loan shark. Which bank will give him a loan with his already outstanding credit line?"

"I don’t know, he might sell the car. I sold it to him at thirteen only, he can easily get fifteen or even sixteen. Don’t worry about me, I have enough to buy a new one."

Seeing Dan’s uninterested nod, Chris smiled and walked to the door to grab his trench coat, but before his hand could go to the coat, a pinkish hand went for it and grabbed it for him. Seeing Tina bouncing around, Chris had to gulp and look elsewhere.

"Going upstairs?"

"Yeah, I had a long day at the school, then a surprise dinner party with a new friend. I wanted to get some rest."

"Alright, be warm. I’ll be here till eleven, if you need hot chocolate or warm milk, just give me a call."

"Alright."

Taking his coat with a smile, Chris walked towards the door. As soon as he opened it, the merciless cold wind hit his face, which he was expecting, so he just paused there for a second and took a step.

"You could have watched them more, you know."

"Do you have eyes behind your back, Tina?"

He didn’t stay in the ankle-deep snow even for a second, replied without even looking, and ran towards the stairs.

"So Cute"

Shaking her head, Tina closed the door and busied herself in the diner, and after a while Melissa arrived, she looked tired but happy.

Arriving at his room, Chris turned the heater on first, and then, taking off his shoes, went directly inside the fluffy comforter. Growing up in this cold city, he has learned how to enjoy the cold with warmth.

Seeing the system panel’s dramatic change, Chris was in shock, he could see his stats like a game character, which shocked and also excited him a lot. He likes to play games, and the system turned his real life into a game.

What does speech mean? Like talk my way through? I need that. Where should I spend these five points? How about Charisma? It will push me to the good-looking ceiling.

Let’s add one to charisma just to reach that threshold and the rest to speech, I think I will need speech with this system.
