CHAPTER 47: 47. THE SECRET

"I came here because I saw Bella’s live stream and was worried because you were fighting those thugs alone. It just so happens that I also have class today," said Evan.

"If his name is Jayden, then that’s the restaurant we’re talking about. Riki has shares there," replied Jake.

Bella was surprised again, then she said, "So... you’re the one who saved Jay? Wow, it’s a small world after all—does that mean you have a lot of money?" Bella asked, looking very enthusiastic.

However, Riki was a little confused by Bella’s first sentence.

"Saved Jay?" asked Riki.

Then, Riki turned to Jake, who was silent, eating Riki’s cheese croissant. Riki didn’t mind, because he was already full from eating blueberry bread and hot chocolate.

Then Veronica and Patricia arrived, bringing two boxes filled with various breads and cakes. Of course, Riki accepted their kind gesture, because it would be rude to refuse someone’s gift.

Even so, Riki insisted on paying for his previous order. Although the two girls refused, they finally accepted Riki’s payment.

Right after Riki, Evan and Jake left, several young people arrived. From their conversation, it seemed that they had come after Bella’s live stream.

They also recognized Riki, but Riki hurriedly got into his car.

Evan and Jake got into their own car, although Riki arrived at the parking lot at the same time as Evan.

"What are you going to do with all that cake, Riki?" asked Evan.

Riki laughed and opened the cake box, "Take whatever you want, buddy."

Riki only brought one box at that time, which contained cakes, while he gave the box of bread to Jake to share with other employees at the office.

Before their class started, as usual, they hung out in the park first. They looked for a quiet and comfortable spot to eat cake there.

Riki, of course, invited Liz too, because he was sure she had already arrived at campus.

However, it turned out that Liz wasn’t the only one who came. She came with Kaivan, Angeline, and Zeno.

As Riki had expected, Angeline approached him and showed him the design she was working on. She was so enthusiastic that she had made two designs.

"It seems you have a talent for this, Angel. Evan, do you think you could make a garden like this?" asked Riki, passing Angeline’s iPad to Evan.

Angeline sat up straight, looking nervous, afraid that Evan wouldn’t like her designs. Compared to Riki, Evan understood more about gardens, especially Daniel.

Previously, when Angeline applied to work at Little Heaven, Evan and Daniel easily found various mistakes in her designs.

"Then I have to come too," said Kaivan.

"Stop following your twin, Kaivan. Evan is a good person," replied Zeno.

Kaivan shook his head, "I believe Evan is a good person, but I don’t trust Riki."

"Hey, I’m going to Hayper Entertainment after that, and I’ll be back in the afternoon," replied Riki, annoyed by Kaivan’s childish behavior.

"You promised to update the app with me, you idiot," Zeno retorted, annoyed that Kaivan had forgotten his promise so easily.

"Oh, I forgot. In that case, I’ll go there after I finish my business," replied Kaivan.

Riki wondered why Kaivan still couldn’t trust him. But well... if he were in Kaivan’s position, after his cousin and sister liked someone as stupid and indecisive as Riki, maybe Riki would act the same as Kaivan.
