CHAPTER 226: 205: ATTEND A CLASS REUNION WITH SHI YIN
When she heard the name of that restaurant, Ruan Yuan’s gaze darkened ever so slightly.
A few days ago, she had picked out a handful of romantic restaurants on her phone, hoping to create a moment of romance with her man.
If she remembered correctly, the one he went to with that woman, coincidentally, was right there on her list.
"From now on, you’re not allowed to have dinner alone with other women, got it?" Ruan Yuan pinched his arm, throwing a playful tantrum for the first time.
Her lips pouted slightly, the cool and elegant demeanor she usually displayed in public replaced entirely by a soft, delicate charm.
This unexpected side of her made Shi Yin instinctively want to spoil her. He wiped his lips and said, "Alright, from now on, I’ll take you with me whenever I eat with anyone else."
Though he had never been in a relationship before, he knew how to treat someone well. As long as it wasn’t an unreasonable request, he was willing to oblige.
Only then did Ruan Yuan look satisfied. She tilted her head, gazing up at him with bright, expectant eyes, blinking innocently like a small rabbit.
She didn’t even need to speak; Shi Yin already knew what she wanted. He chuckled softly, a glittering warmth surfacing in his deep brown eyes.
The next moment, he wrapped an arm around her slender waist, pulling her onto the sofa with him, leaning down to continue their little ritual.
The fading glow of the sunset poured over their intertwined figures, cloaking them in a soft golden halo.
Every ray of light carried traces of bliss.
"Beep, beep beep——"
The sudden ringtone of a phone interrupted the two just when they were reluctant to separate.
Shi Yin, his breath uneven, rested his face against her collarbone for some time before finally sliding his finger over the screen to answer the call.
"Hello." His voice was rougher than before. In a quiet environment, it wouldn’t have been hard to detect a certain suggestive undertone.
"Shi Yin, are you free right now? Jian Xitong is back in town—come out and catch up!"
A familiar male voice came through the receiver. Shi Yin glanced at the caller ID before he belatedly remembered who it was.
Xiao Shang, nicknamed "Monk," an old classmate from their teenage years. They had been on good terms back in the day, often playing basketball together.
Since graduating, however, they rarely met. Aside from the occasional holiday greetings, they might only see each other once or twice a year.
Shi Yin raised an eyebrow. "I don’t—" have time.
Before he could finish his sentence, the mischievous woman in his arms tugged twice on his sleeve.
Lowering his gaze, he was met with her insistent, unyielding glance. After pausing for a few seconds, he said, "Send me the address."
"Alright, hurry over."
"..."
Shi Yin casually tossed the phone aside, propping his elbow on the sofa beside her, leaning in close enough that their foreheads almost touched. "Do you want to go?"
"Mm, I do." Ruan Yuan lifted her chin slightly.
As her glistening lips brushed against his, her teeth gently nipped at him.
Shi Yin met her seductive eyes, and a wave of heat stirred in his lower abdomen. His ears reddened as he returned a light kiss.
Stopping things before they escalated, he quickly pushed himself up, leaning against the back of the sofa. "Get ready, let’s head out."
Using his arm for support, Ruan Yuan sat up, blinking and casting a flirtatious glance his way before walking off.
She had all the air of a heartless femme fatale who walks away without acknowledging her conquests.
**
As night fell, the bar street was bustling with life. Red and blue neon lights crisscrossed, flashing brilliantly in the vibrant, lively scene.
The narrow streets overflowed with men and women strolling to the rhythm of the music. Despite the noisy atmosphere, their smiles remained undiminished.
Near the riverside, outside a large KTV at the end of the street, a woman in a blue, form-fitting dress drew countless admiring gazes.
Her curly hair rested gently on her shoulders, framing a petite face with slightly upturned, alluring eyes that hinted at seduction.
The color of her lips was understated, not overly bold like other women, and her stunning figure seemed almost otherworldly, captivating all who saw her.
Under the surrounding gazes of blatant admiration, Shi Yin frowned slightly. Pulling her closer by the waist, he shielded her from those hungry eyes.
With a casual but protective gesture, he blocked the ravenous stares that seemed ready to consume her whole. "Don’t wear this next time."
"You don’t like it?" Ruan Yuan tilted her head, her playful intent clear despite catching the subtle jealousy in his tone.
She couldn’t help it—she had a penchant for teasing him.
A hint of sorrow flashed in her eyes, the downward flutter of her thick lashes carrying an inexplicable air of dejection.
Shi Yin instantly panicked. "I like it."
Not giving her a chance to retort, he quickly added, "But only when you wear it for me."
Ruan Yuan’s mood visibly lifted as she arched her lips into a charming smile. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she leaned in to whisper mischievously into his ear, "Then will you be responsible for taking it off?"
"Boom——"
Shi Yin’s brain instantly short-circuited.
This was the first time Ruan Yuan had said something so suggestive in public, leaving him completely helpless.
His gaze darted awkwardly to the side, his arm wrapping tighter around her waist without realizing it. "Let’s head inside."
Seeing how the tips of his ears turned crimson beneath his tousled hair, Ruan Yuan didn’t hold back. Leaning into his ear, she playfully blew on it.
Her voice lilted up teasingly as her eyes glimmered with mischievous charm. "Tonight, I want to be in front, okay?"
Shi Yin: "..."
Utterly overwhelmed by her fiery breath on his ear, he was quickly losing his sense of clarity.
"Alright," he eventually choked out, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
Afraid of what she might say next, he hurriedly guided her inside, following the server quickly into the KTV.
Inside, the interior decor was nothing short of luxurious. From the ornate chandeliers overhead to the transparent spiral staircase, every detail screamed opulence.
As they ascended to the second floor, a long rectangular pool came into view, its water so clear it mirrored everything like the sky above.
It was the kind of place well-suited for hosting a casual party with a few close friends.
"This way, please." The server opened a door on the right and gestured them in.
The light from the hallway streamed into the private room as the two stepped inside, momentarily standing backlit before the lively group inside.
In that brief moment, the room fell silent.
Xiao Shang was the first to recover, grinning as he waved them over. Once they had taken their seats, he glanced at Ruan Yuan. "Shi Yin, this is...?"
Sitting across from them, Jian Xitong tightened her grip on her wineglass, anticipation and anxiety brimming as she awaited his response.
Her gaze flickered incessantly toward the other woman. Beneath the surface, a mix of dislike and a searing jealousy burned in her eyes.
"My girlfriend, Ruan Yuan."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Jian Xitong’s face turned deathly pale, as if she had been drenched with a bucket of cold water. A chilling despair settled over her.
