?38: Chapter 37 The Fear of the Fallen Angel 38: Chapter 37 The Fear of the Fallen Angel Seeing the man, fear flashed in Christina’s eyes.

It was this man who had seriously wounded her and torn off one of her wings.

“It’s too late to eat now,” Wang Dadong sighed, his face showing little change upon seeing the Fallen Angel.

It was then that the Fallen Angel noticed there was another person in the warehouse.

Upon clearly seeing Wang Dadong, a scornful light immediately flashed in the Fallen Angel’s dark pupils, “Brigitte, to think a Heavenly Assassin like yourself would rely on a diminutive Huaxia man for survival, isn’t it pathetic?”

The Fallen Angel stood nearly one meter ninety, towering over Wang Dadong by a good ten centimeters, and his muscles were far more pronounced.

In front of him, Wang Dadong indeed seemed somewhat scrawny.

In fact, Wang Dadong was just over one meter eighty, five centimeters taller than Christina.

Even with high heels, Christina was taller than him.

Christina didn’t respond to the Fallen Angel’s words but slowly entered into battle mode.

Although she knew that she might not be his match even at her peak, now that she was injured, the possibility was even less likely, but she would not sit and wait for death.

“You run away, I will hold him back,” Christina said to Wang Dadong behind her.

Christina knew that today she couldn’t escape her fate, but she only hoped that this little Huaxia security guard could save his own life.

If he hadn’t met her, perhaps he could have lived a happy life for a few decades.

It would have been mundane, but at least there was no need to live in constant fear.

And though he seemed a bit silly, he was still a good person after all.

“Hey, do you not understand the term ‘small but mighty’?

Don’t think you’re tough just because you’re tall and muscular, for all I know, you could be a wimp!” Wang Dadong suddenly felt insulted and started to rant at the Fallen Angel.

Christina was at her wit’s end; did this idiot not know who he was dealing with?

That was a Fallen Angel, a peerless Underworld River Assassin, equal to an Angel; to call such a being a wimp was suicidal, wasn’t it?

Sure enough, the Fallen Angel, enraged by Wang Dadong’s words, bulged his veins and stared coldly at Wang Dadong, “Kid, do you know who I am?”

“I don’t give a damn who you are; don’t interrupt my meal, or I’ll pluck your feathers!” Wang Dadong retorted fiercely.

“Seeking death!” The Fallen Angel finally snapped, transforming into a black blur, his steel wings spreading out, aiming to split the ignorant Huaxia man in two.

Christina’s gaze darkened as she braved the intense pain in her body and faced the Fallen Angel head-on.

    Clang!

    Clang!

    Clang!

Silver wings clashed with black ones, sparking dazzling flashes of light.

    Thud!

    Thud!

    Thud!

Razor-sharp feathers, like battle swords, easily carved deep ravines in the cement floor.

The steel-constructed shelves collapsed in the chaos.

The scene was like something out of a movie.

Boom, with one foot stomp, the Fallen Angel cracked the cement ground.

Such combat power, so fierce it scarcely seemed human.

With only one wing, Christina was no match for the two fully intact wings of the Fallen Angel.

With his hands tucked in his pockets, the Fallen Angel used only his lethal wings and feet, pressing her into a hard retreat, and soon more wounds appeared on her body.

“Brigitte, embrace your end in peace; I’ll send your little Huaxia man to accompany you,” sounded the Fallen Angel’s cruel laugh.

    Bang!

Following a loud noise, Christina was sent flying, crashing into a pile of makeup boxes, before finally landing at Wang Dadong’s feet.

Blood gushed from Christina’s mouth as if it cost her nothing, and her azure eyes brimmed with unwillingness.

The Fallen Angel did this intentionally; he relished the expression of fear that prey showed just before death.

He wanted to stun Wang Dadong with his overwhelming strength, the despair and helplessness faced with absolute martial force.

However, to the Fallen Angel’s surprise, Wang Dadong showed not a hint of fear.

Instead, he grabbed Christina’s shoulders and began shaking her violently while ranting, “How could you be so careless?

I just healed you, and now you’re injured again.

Hey, wake up, you can’t die!”

As Wang Dadong shook her, even more blood flowed from Christina’s mouth.

The Fallen Angel could barely stand to watch.

“Hey, kid, if you keep shaking her like that, you’ll shake her to death even if she isn’t already dead.”

Christina had been seriously injured, and although Wang Dadong’s treatment had stabilized her condition, the Fallen Angel’s kick had shattered her internal organs.

Even a divine physician would have been powerless to save her now.

Despite Wang Dadong’s enthusiastic shaking, Christina had the discourtesy to die on him.

“Don’t you see she’s already dead?

What an idiot,” the Fallen Angel said as he shook his head in sympathy while looking at Christina, whose head lolled to one side limply.

Who would’ve thought that the illustrious Heavenly Assassin Brigitte would end up being shaken to death by some foolish boy?

    Wang Dadong was furious.

He turned back and glared at the Fallen Angel viciously, “You damned Bird Man, you’ve killed my patient!

I’m going to pluck all your feathers!”

“Still saying that sort of thing at this point, you really are a foolish boy,” the Fallen Angel chuckled and shook his head again.

    Who was he?

He was none other than the infamous Fallen Angel of the Underworld River.

Aside from even stronger Angels, who would dare talk about plucking his feathers?

Suddenly, the Fallen Angel’s expression stiffened, for he saw that Wang Dadong appeared to have something in his hands.

It seemed to be... a black wing!

“Pretending to be an Angel when you’re just a ragged crow!” Wang Dadong, with a few casual maneuvers, reduced the wing in his hand to a lump of scrap metal.

Only then did the Fallen Angel feel a sharp pain in his left shoulder.

Turning his head to look at his back, he saw that of the original two wings, only one remained.

    What...

    How did this happen?

The Fallen Angel was filled with horror and disbelief.

He hadn’t even seen it clearly when his wing had been torn off by the other party.

“Here, you can have it back,” Wang Dadong said nonchalantly as he tossed the crumpled wing, now like an iron ball, at the Fallen Angel.

The Fallen Angel was about to dodge, but the iron ball had already smashed into his chest.

    Bang!

A tremendous and terrible force surged like a torrent, and the Fallen Angel felt as though he had been hit by a high-speed train.

His body flew backward, and he spat out blood in great gouts.

“To have survived a hit from me, you must be close to the Superhuman Level.

It’s just a pity that no matter how close you are, you’re still only human,” Wang Dadong murmured as he walked out of the warehouse.

    Rufus was terrified.

According to Hades, he was only a hair’s breadth away from breaking through from being human to reaching the Superhuman Level.

There were fewer than a hundred people in the world who could defeat him.

But the young man in the security guard’s uniform before him had left him utterly helpless.

“Could you be one of the Four Heavenly Kings from Hell?” Rufus exclaimed in shock.

Because apart from Hell’s Four Heavenly Kings, he could think of no one else in Huaxia who possessed such power.
