Qi Lang was stunned for a moment, "You’re talking nonsense, who would use meat to make eel?"

Liu Lang chuckled, "That’s how we ate it for lunch at my house."

The next day, Yun Jiao left after breakfast, riding in Liu Er’s cart.

She had to visit the county, but not really to get the medicine. She planned to use her own pharmacy’s herbs, first to save some silver, and second because her family’s herbs are the best quality.

Upon arriving in the county, Yun Jiao visited the Wang Family Pharmacy, retrieved an IOU, then roamed aimlessly on the street, bought a roast chicken, some dried seaweed, and dried shrimp, and then slipped into her family’s pharmacy unnoticed.

The pharmacy was just the same, even the lights were still on.

Yun Jiao glanced at the LCD panel displaying the temperature and humidity; nothing had changed.

She walked over to the counter to start grabbing the medicine. When she reached the notoginseng, she walked to the fine materials counter.

She picked out a piece of notoginseng, ready to throw it into the grinding machine, but her hand suddenly stopped.

She was looking at the musk in a sealed glass bottle nearby.

This bottle of musk had been packed full.

After she sold a dozen grams, the top of the bottle had some space.

Yet now the bottle was still fully filled.

Yun Jiao stared at the bottle for quite a while, almost doubting if her memory was messed up.

She suddenly slapped her head and counted the notoginseng on the counter.

The notoginseng in her family was the best kind, 10-head, meaning ten pieces weigh a pound in total.

She counted, including the one in her hand, a total of 27 pieces.

After counting, she finally threw the notoginseng into the grinding machine.

The grindstone dutifully whirred to life.

After gathering the medicine, Yun Jiao left the pharmacy and took a carriage back home.

As soon as she entered the yard, she saw Liu Lang and a child playing with a turtle on the ground.

Looking carefully, Yun Jiao raised her eyebrows, "Xiao Chuan, why are you here?"

Gu Chuan, hearing his sister’s voice, dropped the turtle in his hand and rushed over, hugging her waist and bursting into tears.
