The Prisoner Who Came Back a King
Chapter 19 – Give me a reason not to kill you
"Expert fighter!"
Liu Sandao's expression froze as he looked at Ye Feng, who was just a step away, as if he were staring at a monster.
Xie Haisheng was no ordinary person; he was a bona fide king-level soldier. Even Liu Sandao himself was only on par with Xie Haisheng, making it difficult to defeat him.
Yet this reckless young man, who appeared out of nowhere, kicked Xie Haisheng away as if he were a mere chick. What kind of strength was this?
Liu Sandao found it hard to imagine; even the masters supported by the families in Liancheng couldn't achieve such ease. Besides shock, Liu Sandao felt a chill in his heart, realizing that he probably wouldn't have any power to resist in front of this person.
Unconsciously, a thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead, and he dared not show any hostility.
Ye Feng's actions were too shocking, drawing incredulous gazes from everyone present.
"Qingqing, this person is unfathomable!" the girl named Xiaolan said gravely.
Qingqing, unsure of what strength meant, inexplicably felt relieved when she saw Ye Feng was unharmed.
"Miss, this person is terrifying and dangerous," said the elder behind Xiaolan solemnly.
Among them, Zhou Hai's face was the most unsightly, shifting from initial ecstasy to shock, then to fear, and finally to utter despair. The entire process took only a few minutes!
Ye Feng ignored the crowd's stares, walked over, and pulled Luo Yan to his side, then kicked Zhou Hai's leg, breaking his bones.
Zhou Hai's face twisted as he let out a pig-like scream that echoed throughout the gym, as pitiful as it could be.
"Sit here for a while, close your eyes, and don't look!" Ye Feng gently said as he seated Luo Yan.
Luo Yan nodded like a pecking chick, feeling at ease the moment she saw Ye Feng.
Ye Feng leaped, soaring over ten meters, crossing the audience seats, and landing on the ring with a thud, raising a cloud of dust.
Xie Haisheng struggled to get up on the ring, spitting a bit of blood, his eyes filled with fear.
"Is that... Xie Laosi?"
Though dimly lit, those familiar with Xie Haisheng recognized him at once, gasping in shock.
The scene fell silent instantly; no one expected Xie Haisheng, the gym owner, to be kicked onto the ring.
Xie Haisheng's eyes were filled with terror as he stared at the young man with a gentle smile in front of him, his heart trembling.
"Who are you?" he asked hesitantly.
"Who am I? Don't worry about that. All you need to know is that you've successfully angered me," Ye Feng replied, unwilling to waste words.
He stepped forward, delivering a punch. Xie Haisheng, known as a king-level soldier, was no more than an ant before Ye Feng.
A series of cracking sounds echoed, accompanied by a loud scream that filled every corner of the gym.
Ye Feng crushed all of Xie Haisheng's limbs, the endless pain contorting his face.
At this moment, Xie Haisheng was filled with regret, wondering why he had provoked such a killer.
Looking at the seemingly gentle young man, he realized he had no power to fight back.
Once, he was the one tormenting others, never expecting to endure such pain himself one day.
This scene didn't cause panic among the audience; instead, they cheered excitedly.
Why did they come to watch underground boxing? To seek the thrill between life and death, especially when the protagonist was the renowned Xie Haisheng of Liancheng.
This made everyone even more excited, waving flags and shouting enthusiastically.
Qingqing's expression changed repeatedly, not expecting Ye Feng to be so powerful, secretly laughing at the two male classmates who wanted to confront Ye Feng.
She found it amusing; if she provoked such a formidable man, she couldn't imagine the consequences.
On the ring, Xie Haisheng was completely paralyzed, covered in blood, his limbs limp, bones crushed by Ye Feng.
Xie Haisheng's breathing became labored, yet he didn't die, being a king-level figure.
Ye Feng had no time to waste with him, stepping forward, grabbing Xie Haisheng's neck, lifting him with a cold expression, a hint of killing intent flashing as he twisted hard.
"Crack!"
Xie Haisheng's head tilted, and he was dead.
Xie Haisheng was dead!
The underworld boss who dominated Liancheng for over a decade was crushed to death by an unknown young man!
Even in death, it was unclear why.
Liu Sandao felt his scalp tingle, a chill running to his head, leaving him dumbfounded.
The gym fell silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop; this was a big deal.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Ye Feng left the ring and approached Liu Sandao, his gaze cold, filled with killing intent.
Liu Sandao was scared, even with his title as a dragon crossing the river, having experienced countless life-and-death battles.
Under Ye Feng's deathly gaze, he began to tremble.
In front of this man, he knew he was no match, and his death wouldn't be any better than Xie Haisheng's.
"I... I'm not with Xie Haisheng!" Liu Sandao hurriedly distanced himself, feeling unprecedented fear.
Ye Feng smiled, becoming somewhat gentle, then said, "Give me a reason not to kill you?"
Liu Sandao thought quickly, adopting a survival attitude, "Perhaps I can be of use to you."
"That's not a sufficient reason to spare your life."
Liu Sandao cursed Xie Haisheng's ancestors a thousand times for provoking this killer.
But he didn't have much time to think, quickly kneeling, respectfully saying to Ye Feng, "As long as you don't mind, my life is yours to command!"
Ye Feng assessed Liu Sandao, weighing the pros and cons, realizing he might indeed need someone like him in the future.
Having someone to handle matters would make things much more convenient, sparing him from doing everything personally.
"Your life is spared for now," Ye Feng said calmly.
"Clean up this place!"
"And that person, I don't want to see him again. Understand?"
Ye Feng pointed at Zhou Hai, who was lying on the ground. Zhou Hai's face changed drastically.
Enduring the pain, he crawled to Ye Feng's feet, pleading bitterly, "Ye Feng, we've been neighbors for years, don't kill me!"
Ye Feng kicked him away, leaving with Luo Yan.
Before leaving, he reminded Liu Sandao, "Remember what you said."
Liu Sandao was stunned until Ye Feng disappeared at the door, then looked at the dead Xie Haisheng on the ring.
After tonight, Liancheng's underworld would undergo a reshuffle.
But for him, it was a good thing, allowing him to seize Xie Haisheng's territory and expand his influence.
However, it also meant he would face the one-eyed dragon alone.
