Andrew looked at the unconscious Lucas and the severed pinky lying on the floor; his face turned ghostly pale. He quickly turned to Sloane. “Ms. Rivers, please–you have to save him!”

    Sloane froze for a second before it finally hit her. iI /iiam /iia /iidoctor/ii. /iiHow /iicould /iiI /iiforget /iithat/i?

Forcing herself to stay calm, Sloane swiftly reached into her bag and pulled out the acupuncture kit she always carried, immediately beginning first aid.

“Andrew, help mey him t!” she instructed as she quickly unbuttoned Lucas‘ shirt, revealing his blood–soaked left hand.

She worked fast, using silver needles to seal several acupuncture points and stop the bleeding. Then she grabbed sterile gauze and wrapped the wound with clean, practiced motions. Every movement was efficient and precise, as if the panic from earlier had never happened.

“Hurry–get him to the hospital!” Sloane stood, her voice steady once more.

Andrew wasted no time. He hoisted Lucas onto his back while Sloane followed close behind, and the group rushed to the hospital.

As soon as they arrived, Sloane charged into the ER and shouted at the nurse on duty, “Prep an OR now! The patient’s losing too much blood–he needs emergency surgery!”

The nurse blinked, frozen by the sudden intensity. Just then, Benjamin strode in quickly. “Do as she says.”

“Oh, yes!” The nurse finally snapped into action and ran off to make arrangements.

Benjamin nced at the unconscious Lucas, his face tense. “What’s his condition?”

“His left pinky was severed. We need to operate immediately,” Sloane said, lips pressed tight, her tone unusuallyposed. “I want to perform the surgery myself. Please help make the arrangementsb./b”

Benjamin gave her a look, then nodded. “You focus on the surgery–I’ll handle the rest.”

News of the situation reached the hospital director, who rushed over. He spotted the operating room light glowing red and grabbed Benjamin in excitement. “Is it really her in there? The

    Miracle Doctor?”

“It is,” Benjamin confirmed with a nod.

He’d needed the director’s help to get Sloane on the operating table; it had been done with her full consent. Now, in the surveince feed, Sloane was already dressed in scrubs, gloves on, fully immersed in surgery. Her hands moved with practiced ease, every gesture clean, efficient -like she had total control.

Boston stared intently at the screen, eyes wide with both excitement and disbelief. Under the microscope, Sloane was meticulously reattaching blood vessels and nerves–her technique delicate, fluid, almost artistic.

“Those hands… that technique…” Boston murmured to himself, his voice trembling slightly. “It’s just like her… exactly like her…”

Benjamin nced at him, puzzled. “Mr. Boston, what did you say?”

Boston took a deep breath, voice full of emotion. “Sloane’s technique–it’s identical to someone I once knew. Back then, she had the same steady hands, the same calm mastery. No matter howplicated the case, it was nothing in her hands.”

His gaze darkened with a hint of sorrow. “But… she’s been missing for over twenty years.”

Two hourster, the light above the operating room finally went out. Sloane walked out.

The director and Benjamin rushed forward. “How’s Lucas?”

Sloane gave a steady nod. “The surgery was a sess. But we still need to monitor the blood flow in the reattached finger closely and prevent infection.”

“Good.” Benjamin exhaled hard, relief flooding his face.

The director stared at her for a moment before cautiously asking, “You’re Sloane?”

Sloane looked at him, then slowly lifted her hand to remove the surgical mask. “Boston, I’m sorry for keeping the truth from you before.”

Boston shook his head gently. “It’s okay. I understand, you were protecting yourself.”

Then he asked again, revisiting the question fromst time. “Sloane… your mentor…

Boston’s voice was full of urgency; there was something he needed to confirm–something deeply important to him.
