CHAPTER 336: CHAPTER 336: RECENTLY SEEMS TO BE GETTING FIERCER

The filming went on very late today, with a night scene. By the time I got back, it was almost midnight!

Ji Niandong quietly opened the door and entered, noticing that all the hallway lights were on, almost as if specifically left for her return.

Without needing to think, she knew exactly who left the lights on. Feeling warm inside, she headed towards the bedroom, slowly feeling her way to the bed, only to find that no one was there.

"Little Uncle?" she called out softly, then turned on the room light. After looking around, she found he was indeed not there.

She walked out of the room to Lu Sinian’s side and, using the faint light, saw that he was the only one there sleeping, with his blanket having fallen to the ground. Ji Niandong picked it up, tucked him in, and seeing how peacefully and adorably he slept, she couldn’t resist leaning in to give him a kiss before closing the door and leaving.

As she exited, Lu Beichen came over, "You’re back?"

He was still wearing his loungewear, looking casual and relaxed, yet showing no signs of sleepiness.

"Little Uncle, you’re still up?" It’s so late already!

"I was in the study handling some documents, and waiting for you to come back!" He took her hand and led her to the dining table, "Sister Zhou sent over some sweet soup, kept warm for you. You’ve been busy so late, it’s perfect for a late-night snack!"

He let her sit down and went to get a bowl to serve her the sweet soup.

When she was home, she had never seen him go to the study to handle documents. Today, it seemed it wasn’t a coincidence but he specifically waiting for her return.

Ji Niandong watched as the man in front of her busied himself, she couldn’t help but prop her face on her hands, watching him closely.

No matter how she looked at him or how much time passed, he never grew tiresome to look at.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Lu Beichen turned back, catching the little woman staring at him, handed her the sweet soup, and sat beside her, "If you keep looking at me like that, I’ll think Mrs. Lu doesn’t just want to drink sweet soup!"

"You pervert!" Ji Niandong retorted, taking a sip, "It’s delicious! Little Uncle, you should try some too!"

She naturally offered a spoonful to Lu Beichen, and he leaned over to share it with her.

He watched her with a smile, his gaze full of happiness and sweetness, yet... also with some mischief!

Ji Niandong quickly reached out to cover his eyes, "No thinking of perverted things, you’re not allowed to be lewd with me lately!"

"Mrs. Lu is being quite irresponsible, teasing me and then leaving me at the door!" He gently pulled her hand down, holding it in his palm, speaking softly.

Ji Niandong tried to pull her hand back, but he held it tightly, so she continued to drink the sweet soup with her other hand, "When did I tease you? I didn’t do anything!"

"Mmm, you didn’t do anything, and yet I want to do something to you! Mrs. Lu, your allure is too great!" He lowered his head and gave a heavy kiss to her palm.

Ji Niandong quickly withdrew her hand, "No more kissing! You made me wear thick concealer for filming because of you, and Sister Ada even mentioned it today!"

It wouldn’t have been an issue if she hadn’t said anything, but once mentioned, Ji Niandong got angry. She put down her spoon and lunged to pretend to strangle his neck, "Do you know how embarrassed you made me?"

Her strength was neither light nor heavy. Lu Beichen coughed a few times, tilting his head back, before pulling her into his embrace, holding her tightly, "Is Mrs. Lu planning to kill her husband?"

"It’s your fault! Anyway, for a long period of time, you’re not allowed to lay a finger on me!" Ji Niandong pressed against him, looking down at him.

Her fierce little demeanor was absolutely adorable!

"I didn’t lay a finger on you, I used my mouth and..."

"Ahhhh, stop talking!" Ji Niandong overlapped her hands to cover his mouth, "Anyway, you’re not allowed to touch me, got it?!"

As soon as she finished speaking, she felt a hand sliding inside her jeans. Ji Niandong hurriedly grabbed his hand, "Pervert!"

Lu Beichen remained leaning against the chair, looking at her with an expression that was both innocent and aggrieved, "Mrs. Lu has become so fierce, even fiercer!"

Ji Niandong paused for a moment, realizing that she had indeed been a bit... well, fiercer towards him lately!
