"You're expecting some trouble?"

Dorian asked after seeing Kael hold the black revolver in his right hand.

"You never know…"

Kael said.

In that moment, they heard the sound of horse hooves galloping past the window, and they both turned to look.

"Was that a horse?"

Dorian asked.

"Yes…"

Kael frowned.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Hard, forceful knocks almost shook the door off its hinges, and following that, a shout, almost resembling a roar, sounded.

"This is Magisterial Yard; please open the door!"

"Magisterial Yard? Why in the world are they here? Are they looking for someone?"

Dorian asked in shock.

"What is Magisterial Yard?"

Kael asked, and made the Black Revolver disappear.

"The lawmen of Blessed World. If the Blessed One commits a crime, they're the ones sent to look and investigate.

"While the Guild handles the safety of the main cities, the Magisterial Yard is sent to hunt down the escaped Blessed Ones and to bring them to justice.

"They take the concept of justice and law extremely seriously. They're people you shouldn't fuck around with!"

Dorian said seriously, went to the door, and opened it.

Standing by the doorway, a couple of fedora-wearing men in black suits stood. They looked joyless and serious-faced.

"Freeze."

Sören said.

With stiff limbs and sluggish thoughts, Dorian and Kael couldn't move even if they wanted to, and they could only helplessly dart their eyes around.

Even their thoughts had become slow.

'This… guy… must… be… Leader… powerful… kind!'

The other black-suited man, Luca, went around the room and went through all the drawers and cabinets.

It was mostly empty, as Dorian and Kael didn't come here with any luggage, so there was just stuff that the train had ready for them.

"Nothing…"

Luca said coldly.

Sören closed his eyes, the effects of his ability faded, and Kael and Dorian collapsed on the bottom bunk.

"State your name, alliance, and pathway."

Sören said.

"Dorian Mott, Corpse Collectors, and Alchemy!"

Dorian said.

"Kael Mizuchi, Corpse Collectors, and Outlaw!"

Kael said.

Just to test it, he tried to resist the urge to speak, but it was like there was something inside his throat, pushing those words away.

It was frustrating to be so helpless in front of the Leader's powers, and even though he had met many Leaders, it was still an extremely humbling experience to come across one of them.

"Corpse Collectors…"

Sören said.

Since they were fellow government workers, they dropped some of their vigilance and eased some of the pressure that they were emitting.

"I apologize for the commotion, but we've received word that a wanted fugitive has escaped from the Dark Jewel's Corner and was boarding this train."

Luca said, then thanked them for their cooperation, and headed to another room, but while they were walking away, Kael sneakily tapped his forehead.

[Name: Luca Hordeaz]

[Pathway: Fighter]

[Level: 5]

[Class: War Bishop]

And then, Kael also checked Sören's mind quickly.

[Name: Sören Skogvall]

[Pathway: Leader]

[Level: 5]

[Class: Commander of the Army]

Kael quickly left their minds and rubbed his head at the slight discomfort.

This proved to him that he was able to check out the Mind Images of others without them sensing it.

He thought of that since he couldn't sense Morwenna checking out his Mind Image either but, for a moment, thought it was because he was low level.

However, it looked like the Blessed Ones simply didn't have the ability to sense if someone was inside their minds like he'd been.

Yet, he still couldn't be too careless, as it might only be because they were too weak to sense it, or one just needed to have a strong consciousness to sense it.

"Isn't this dangerous, though? For Magisterial Yard to come out of Chalicegate for this fugitive, it must mean that person must be at least level 5, maybe level 6.

"We, Low Rankers, will be in danger around them!"

Dorian said worryingly.

"I don't think we need to worry about it. Just let's stay out of sight, and we won't be facing any danger."

Kael said.

Knock! Knock!

"This is Magisterial Yard; please open the door!"

A very loud voice came.

While only wearing a sleeping gown—black and silver in color—Angelica opened the door with a scared look on her beautiful face.

"I-Is everything alright?"

She asked.

When Sören and Luca saw her, even their hard exteriors broke up a little, but they weren't novices at this and managed to keep their cool.

"We're in search of a fugitive. Mind if we search your room and ask some questions of you?"

Sören asked.

"Sure…"

Angelica said, but she remembered her journal and just hoped that they weren't thorough enough to completely uproot the room.

While Luca went and started searching through the room, Sören looked at Angelica and felt his gaze start dropping lower and lower.

It was hard to not look at the sleeping gown, which was almost see-through, but he then calmed himself down with the powers of the Leader.

"State your name, affiliation, and pathway."

Sören said.

"Klara Eisenfeld, unaffiliated, and Magician."

Angelica said with a smile while the amethyst pendulum glowed slightly while dangling from her neck.

"Mmh."

Sören nodded, looked at Luca, and saw that he was currently going through Angelica's luggage, which was just a lot of women's clothes, a few books, and a small makeup bag.

"She is good."

Luca said and stepped out of the room.

"Sorry for bothering you. Have a good night, miss."

Sören tipped the brim of his fedora and stepped out while Angelica slid the door shut with her heart racing.

"Whew…"

Angelica walked to the drawer, took out the chest of the drawer, and then looked inside. It was right behind the chest, which she just took out.

Her journal was there.

If the person wasn't as pretty as she was, Luca would've definitely pulled the chest of drawers completely out and would've found out about the journal.

"I am glad that I am pretty~ I can only thank the Rose Goddess for that~"

Angelica walked to the window, looked at her beautiful self through the reflection, and smiled while tracing her hands across her soft skin.

She then went back to the bed, snuggled under the blanket, and hugged the full-body pillow of the Rose Goddess.

While no one knew how the Rose Goddess looked, the Sex Redemption members believed that she was a beautiful woman with rose-colored hair, fair skin, and piercing pink eyes.

"Oh, Rose Goddess~"
