The Second Chance of Reincarnator
Chapter 61: Mommy Issues
"This kid just killed himself…"
"Leroy is a member of the Corpus Mundi. It's a party with several High Rankers, and despite him still being Low Ranker, he has shown enough capabilities to be their secondary tank!"
"This will end up bloody."
While the customers of the brothel chatted among themselves, Marceau tapped his forehead and checked the Mind Images of the two.
When he saw Kael's Mind Image, he chuckled a little bit under his breath and thought that he must either be brave or foolish.
'I already checked his Pathway, and level before I even entered the brothel. He is of Primal Pathway, level three, and his class name is Breaker of Flesh and Stone.
'If I were afraid, I would've never even entered the brothel and had Dorian deal with it himself, but I am not one to shy away from danger.
'I used to think that Outlaw would prioritize survival, but I was wrong. Outlaws must be bold, brave, and ready to make enemies.'
Kael thought to himself while coldly looking at the tanned face of Leroy.
At that moment, Leroy tapped his forehead, checked Kael's Mind Image, and yet again, he erupted into laughter.
"Level one? Are you fucking serious? You think this world is some kind of game, huh? Under the law of the Mutual Combat, I can kill you, and no one will blink an eye.
"You started the fight, so you cannot back away now, bitch."
Leroy grinned hideously.
"It was a warning shot. I suggest you back off."
Kael said coldly.
"Kekekeke… Kakakakakaka!"
Leroy laughed strangely—kek's and kak's echoed through the brothel—and he then lunged forward, his fist aiming straight for Kael's face.
The size of his fist was that of a red brick.
Bang!
Kael pulled the trigger and shot Leroy in the forehead, and then he rolled out of the way just in time to avoid the blow.
The bullet smashed into Leroy's forehead, slightly off from the mark of the first bullet, and again, it didn't quite penetrate his thick skin.
'Primals of low rank generally have only boosts to the thickness of their skins, strength, agility, and endurance. In a sense, it's the simplest Pathway in terms of abilities, and all I have to do is avoid his punches.
'However, if only it were that simple. As I am now, I don't have the capabilities to kill him, but I can hurt him.'
Kael thought.
At that moment, Leroy lunged over, wildly swinging his fists at Kael, almost like a furious bull. If hit, Kael would surely feel the impact for days to come.
Kael backed off, jumped on top of a table, and Leroy hammered his fist down at him. He jumped out of the way. The hammer fist smashed through the table.
With the black revolver in hand, Kael pointed it towards Leroy's right shoulder of his dominant arm and fired a bullet there.
With a whistle, the bullet flew through the air, but Leroy slightly tilted his body, and that was enough for the bullet to miss.
"Tch!"
Kael clicked his tongue in annoyance.
He didn't have any more bullets in the chamber anymore, as he didn't fully fill it before, as he didn't expect to get into a fight.
While he still planned to fill it with all six bullets, his divinity had run out, and he'd been waiting for it to fully recharge.
It finished fully recharging a few hours ago, but out of forgetfulness, he forgot to refill it, so he was now left with an empty revolver.
"Your aim is shit!"
Leroy taunted and chased after Kael, swinging his fists as many times as needed, and Kael had no other choice than to keep backing away.
"Why are you running away? I thought you were the big tough guy!"
While desperately trying to avoid those heavy-looking punches, Kael was trying to find a way to craft more bullets, but he noticed that he was in trouble.
In the front lounge of the brothel, there were only tables, chairs, couches, and a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
There weren't any small objects, like coins or anything like that, to craft into bullets, and Kael had just spent the last remaining money of his in the Old Harris Pub!
Therefore, he was currently coinless!
Kael made a mental note to always carry coins with him in case he needed bullets in the future.
If he survived this battle, that is.
Watching from the terrace above, a light-blue-haired young man watched the fight while eating candy from a jar.
"I feel bad for him. He is going to die, and he just tried to help his friend. I don't know why Madam isn't kicking Leroy out of her establishment."
Clarice said while sitting next to the young man and sighed at the sight of the fight.
She was a prostitute as well, but today, she received the strangest customer to date—this light-blue-haired young man—who didn't come here for sex.
Instead, he wanted to be cared for—she had to act as his mother—caress his hair, listen to his problems, and breastfeed.
"…"
Noel stood up, went to the railing, and then poured the small round-shaped candy—looking almost like marble—onto the floor of the brothel lounge.
There were a lot of candy, and they rolled around on the uneven floor, some getting caught in the cracks between the wooden planks.
Eventually, a few of them collided with Kael's shoe, and he noticed the candy—a look of relief came to his eyes—and he quickly took a few candies from the floor.
He crafted the candy into bullets, slid them inside the chamber, and then fired a few bullets over at Leroy.
Bang! Bang!
The shoulders of Leroy got hit, which earned a cry of pain from him, but like a mad bull, he came charging at him.
"You're helping him?"
Clarice asked in surprise.
"I thought you felt sorry for him."
Noel looked at her with his steel gray eyes, and Clarice felt slightly bashful with a smile forming on her face.
If he weren't so weird with his requests, he would be a pretty charming young man. It was clear that he had some mommy issues.
