CHAPTER 74: HE WILL NEVER GET WHAT HE WANTS

They glared at me like I was a piece of meat, they hated Luca too, how could you hate your brother’s kid, I mean? Why would you do that, I figured they had a problem with his father but it doesn’t mean that they should place the anger they have on him, on his son, Luca didn’t ask to be his child.

"Since when do we bring whores to family dinner, I always thought your father wanted to keep it intimate, just for the family." His uncle smiled, That’s Jamie, he has been staring at me since I walked in, and I am convinced he has thought about a thousand ways to make sure that I am dead.

I glared at him with anger.

"I am his mate." I breathed out before Luca spoke. "His mate. His wife, I don’t need a ring to be called his, I have a mark that belongs to him and if you as much breathe close to me, he will know, he will feel it and it can’t be good for you." I smiled.

I felt a wave of anxiety wash over me, I was scared yet I wanted to be the one to do the talking, I didn’t want Luca to get into any form of conversation because that would lead to his anger.

"She speaks perfectly Uncle, I wonder what that mouth can do." His cousin smiled.

"Say it again Harris, but this time look into my eyes and say it, ask me what her mouth can do, better yet, ask me what her body can do in the bedroom, fucking say it, I dare you." Luca threatened. "It’s pathetic because you are not worthy of being in my presence and all my pack has done is protect you because you are a part of my family, as much as I hated it, but if you don’t listen, if you don’t learn to be respectful, the little privilege you have when you tell women you are related to me would be gone and do you what will happen to you during wars, you will never be able to have anyone to protect to you, you will die and your dearest father, he will run for the heels to save himself because if someone is going to tell the story, he would rather be him," Luca added.

I placed my hand on his lap softly as I squeezed, I didn’t want to interrupt him, but he needed to calm down, they wanted him agitated because Patrick came and it can’t be good, the thought of him losing his temper and almost hurting all of them, I didn’t want that to happen.

I glanced at Luca, and he gave me a nod,

No one spoke again yet the room kept getting filled by people, it seemed like that preferred Patrick, but why? For years no one cared for him unless they did and Luca never found out about it, maybe they hid him for some time, gave him what he needed and Luca didn’t even realise it.

His cousins filled the room, he had seven cousin, two girls and the rest were males, he didn’t have any aunt, only uncles without wives and have kids, it seemed like his family is dominated by men, and they had little to no female in the house, that explained the anger, why they felt like they should rule and not Luca, or Luca and his father should have never even stepped on the throne.

I watched as Patrick walked in, he looked the same way he did when I saw him in the café, a frown on his face, that look in his eyes like he wanted me dead and everyone else, and when he turned to look at me, he knew that I recognized him and he didn’t seem to care. He did leave a huge mark on me when I saw him that day.

I watched as he settled in the chair, the rest of the rock stood up but we didn’t, this just convinced my theories, they are all working with him and they have been for years, Luca never spoke to any of them for years; he never cared, only offered them assistance through his pack and through Ares.

"Surprised to see my little boy." Patrick smiled. "You have grown a bit, now you have a woman by your side to show your worthiness, you have a woman to flaunt you are not the kid I used to know, but I know deep down he is still inside there somewhere."

"Just like the worthless uncle that has done nothing but cheat and lie is somewhere inside you too, this façade, this behavior of being a strong man, a powerful man, it’s never going to be good for you," Luca said, This time his tone was calm and he seemed calm too

He looked and sounded a bit better than when his other uncle was speaking to him.

I glanced at Luca with a smile on my face.

"If I am here it’s only because I am here to detain you, just because it’s been years, it doesn’t mean anything, we know what you did and we know the things that you caused before you left. You are an enemy to the family, they may worship and not think about it, but what I think is the only thing that matters".

"We will see about that, what did you say I did?" He asked as Luca’s eyes darkened, he only wanted to trigger him; to make him get angry and annoyed. "Ohh wait I recall, you mentioned that I killed my mother because your so-called friend saw it right, his name is Ares right and he is still working for you, so you believed him, you always wanted me gone, and you told your version of the story."

"I understand you, Patrick," Luca added. "This game you are thinking of playing, it’s never going to work."

"What don’t you think is going to work?" Patrick asked. "Did you see me commit the murder or did you see what your friend wanted to show you because believe me, he showed you exactly what you wanted to see, and I call that a mistrial, there is no evidence, only one eye witness who can’t be trusted; who’s father was my ex best friend and God knows what he always tells his kid about me, you know these days, kids love to want to handle the affairs of their parents." He explained.

Luca is not going let him win this, I know what he is trying to do too and if he explained it to the pack, they would ask for trial and f he made it sounds like it could happen to any of them and how horrible it would be, they will want to stand for justice not because they wants to be with him or they trust him because it’s fairness.

I leaned in toward Luca and I placed my lips against his ears so whisperer the word; I know that Luca is smart and he is fully ware of what he is doing but when it comes to this, at the moment; he is not thinking fully well about it because of the fact that he is angry, he is mad and he can’t even think about the right thing.

I watched as they all stared at me and he gave me a nod.

"You want a trial, many years after her death and you have thought about it, you think it will work because if you think that it’s not going to happen because of how long it has been, then you are wrong because if I have to prove to you again that you killed her and prove to them. It’s going to be perfect you know why, because this time it’s not going to end well for you and you will not die alone, all these people here will go with you, because they stood by the wrong people." Luca explained.

"What are you talking about?." Jamie asked

"You stood against the alpha it means one thing, in future you can do it again and it would not be good, in the future you can end up betraying the Alpha because you don’t trust his words right," Luca asked and they didn’t speak, now he knows what he is doing, now it feels like his mind is right where I want it to be.

"This is what’s going to happen. You are not going to leave the fight like I said until it’s over, if you have been declared wrongly accused, then I will apologize to you, it doesn’t make you the rightful owner to the throne because it’s mine in the mean time, I am watching you, I need you to know that because make no mistake, I am not going to be hiding from it, I want you to realise what you have done by coming into the city." Luca threatened and I smiled.
