CHAPTER 80: I WOULD ALWAYS HATE HER

"Liv, oh my God I missed you so much." Natalia smiled as she rushed toward me and gave me a hug, I had to hide the disgust I felt, it’s not the time for it.

"I missed you more, I have been meaning to see you, to see your face, and to tell you how horrible I left, I should not have been rude to you."

"Hey, it’s all behind us: what matters now is us." She smiled as I held her hand, and I led her toward the couch where we settled down.

She had the biggest smile on her face, I am sure she is more excited than Patrick that she is here and she is happy that, she will get to learn things. And she is in my home.

"Tell me everything, how has he been?" She asked looking around, unlike me, Luca can barely handle her annoying attitude, he needs to work on that.

"Better than I expected, he takes care of me, he is gentle and he is sweet and he knows how to make me smile, he is perfect, just the way I always wanted." I smiled.

No matter how much she smiled, I can see through it, I know for a fact that, she didn’t want to hear that, she wanted to listen to something bad.

"Hey, I wanted to apologize about Sebastien, I can understand why you were upset, it was totally rude and un called for and not only that, I should have known better, after you left, he became such an asshole, he didn’t want to be my friend, he was using me to get to you, he was rude and he said somethings that if I repeat it, you would be throwing me out of your home." She laughed and I jokingly rolled my eyes at her.

"He was never good, he always wanted me to be with him even when I didn’t want to be, he is controlling too, at that party, he was being annoying and I should not have let out my anger for him on you."

"It’s fine, promise to never talk about it." She smiled and I nodded.

I feel like putting her head through the wall and not stopping until she bleeds, I am slowly turning into Luca and I have no idea if that’s even a good thing, I have a feeling it’s not.

Natalie didn’t stop talking, she would talk and then she would stop, I didn’t trust her sob story about Sebastian, I have a feeling he is still her friend and he is not the good guy he pretends to be, he has more problems than being in love with me and having a fake smile, and always trying to be controlling.

He is someone else and I will do all I can to find out what the truth is and if he is in the city.

"Are you hungry?" I finally asked, and she nodded so I led her into the kitchen, she is not scared, she doesn’t think this is a trap and she has a feeling that I trust her a lot.

"Are you finally going to tell me where Luca is and what it’s like being around him, around the pack, and having so many guards stationed outside the house.

"Luca is upstairs, he is having a meeting." I lied. "If she is anything we think, she would take the bait. "Being here with all the guards, I am used to them, it’s my way of staying safe."

"What if you need privacy?" She asked.

"Whatever they say, they never talk about it, to them it never happened making it even better and even more good, because Luca would kill them if they spoke out of turn." I smiled.

"You are not the same Olivia I used to know, you are fearless now, you are not scared, you don’t always have to look over your shoulder; He will do just about anything to make sure you are safe." She asked and I smiled.

That’s the truth, but no matter how she said it, her eyes didn’t look convincing, she didn’t look happy, it’s like she wanted it to be wrong, or she thought that when she came we would be in complete despair and crying.

Well at least when she tells Patrick, he will confirm that, we can’t just tell her anything about the war because I am scared she would get hurt, and because I want her to be protected.

"Do you have any cousins, Natalie, you never really talked about family."

"Never important that’s why. No one cares for me and I don’t either, never seen any of them in a long time and I don’t think I ever will and after the one-week rule, they don’t matter to me anymore."

"What is the one-week rule?" I whispered as I silenced the tomato and she stared at me.

"If a person stays away from me, they don’t talk or check on me and if I try to talk to them or check up on them and they are being rude, they have a week to be better or that’s it, it’s never happening again."

"I guess I was lucky then." I smiled and she nodded. I didn’t believe her stupid rule because I know that, even if I didn’t check up on her, even do I took a month, she would come to me.

"Why do you keep shaking like that?"

"I want to use the bathroom and I know you are busy, I don’t want you to stop what you are doing, so I guess I will wait for you to show me." She said and I chuckled bitterly.

I badly wanted to throw this knife against her face and yet I didn’t, all I did was smile and I pointed toward the end of the hall.

She can listen to whatever she wants to listen to, and I had hoped she would act on it.

I didn’t move, all I did was cook and remained where she left me even when Ares walked into the room, he didn’t say a word to me and neither did I, he is not ready to talk about it so be it, but I am never going to leave

"Sorry, I took a while." Natalie smiled as she looked around, her eyes glanced at Ares and she looked at me like she had seen someone she wanted and I rolled my eyes at her, she can’t be serious at this moment.

"Let me guess you could not use the bathroom because there are so many buttons," I said and she nodded.

She is such a great liar.

"It happened to be the first time I was there, I could not ask for help because I felt so embarrassed and I didn’t think that I wanted to be seen as someone who didn’t know how to use a mere bathroom," I said and she smiled. "This is Ares, he works for Luca," I stated and she smiled at him.

He didn’t even spare her a glance before he headed out of the room, after I was done with the meal, I watched as she finished all of it, she didn’t feel scared that maybe I would know something and I would end up poisoning her.

An hour later she wanted to sleep, and I let her when I sent a message to Luca, he didn’t want to be anywhere close to her. And he is sure about it and I guess he is right, if he is good and he is smiling at her, she would know that something is wrong.

Another hour passed and she was still sleeping, the weather was starting to get bad and I had a feeling I knew where this was headed. She is going to spend the night, it’s the plan, to be here.

I guess we would have to let it unfold, the cameras are active and I am not going to sleep if she is going to be here.

"Olivia, fuck." Natalia breathed out as I stared at her. Her yes filled with fake sleep, I am sure she had been awake, wishing for me to say something or listen in on our conversation but she would not get what she desired.

"You are awake." I smiled when a wave of thunder struck and I heard the loud sound of lightning, it didn’t take much time before the sound of rain followed and she looked out.

"It’s raining, I have to leave."

"Will you send me out of your house if it were raining so no, especially when I know that the roads can be bad," I asked and he shook her head.

God I am going to have to convince Luca about this, he will hate it but it’s just one night and this could be a test to see if we trust her, if I still care about her and I didn’t see her as a threat.

Whatever it is, we are going to win.
