The Silent Auction: The Alpha's Obsession
Chapter 81: A dirty liar
CHAPTER 81: A DIRTY LIAR
"I had a great sleep." Natalie smiled.
"Me too." I breathed out. "We ate breakfast, this is yours."
"It’s eight in the morning."
"Luca eats by seven." I smiled Ans she mumbled a weird phrase under her breath.
I am bored by her and I don’t like the idea of her being in this house anymore, I wanted her to leave this morning and I have made plans, all she needs to do is tell me she wants to leave. God, I could not even wait for that.
I watched as she ate what she didn’t know was that, As she is eating, one of the maids is upstairs cleaning her room and arranging what’s left is what she has, she didn’t come with anything making it better
"What did you come to the city for, I mean you said you were coming for work," I mumbled against my breath.
"The club, some weeks ago I was hired to come to the club here and dance, they paid me a lot of money for that to happen and I came with a group of girls, speaking of which, I may have to leave because they are waiting for me."
Patrick.
This is our chance to find out where she is staying and if he is smart like Luca says he is, and I know that she would be staying far away from his home, she would be somewhere else, maybe an apartment or a house, something her paycheck can get.
"I will miss you, we should do this again before you leave." I smiled and she nodded..
I even offered one of the drivers to take her but she declined saying we don’t want our car to be in that part of the city, it’s not good and all, as if she cared about us and what we did.
—-
The moment she stepped out of the house, I made sure to make a call and I made sure I did it while the blender was turned on.
One of the guards walked into the house with a device as I turned on the TV to make it it’s at the highest setting. We can’t be too sure that she didn’t bug the house, she is very quite even when I was at the apartment with her, I would not know when she would head out of her room to an extent, she would make a grilled cheese and I know that I didn’t sleep too deeply because of fear of being caught by Luca’s enemy.
An hour passed when I turned off the TV and I headed toward the door to get a package. If it’s here it means it’s not blood, it’s not a finger or anything that can make me feel scared, it’s something else.
—-
"What are you holding Luca?" I asked when he headed home, he wrapped his hand around me and he pulled me closer to him, his breath fanning against mine, he made me feel safe.
He came home the moment I called him.
"It’s an invitation."
"Not another party." I breathed out. And Luca shakes his head.
"A party that will take place in two weeks, a party to celebrate being the leader after working hard rowart it for years, he has planned it and now he and a party in motion to celebrate the win he and nor gotten yet, I am sure we are not the only ones that got this, he sent it to his people, people that can keep a secret and not say word about it until the day its taking place."
"He is going to kill us all, isn’t he?" I breathed out.
"He won’t, not unless I am able to stop him and I think I would be able to do that, my uncle. May have plans but I am better, I have dealt with people like him for years, and as for your friend Natalie, I found out something." He said and I nodded.
"The guards are still checking the house to see if she implanted anything and the other two are still following her to find out where she lives," I stated and he nodded. "Tell me what you found out."
"Get into the car." He said and I nodded, I headed into the car and he drove, I guess he would he showing me what he found out and it worried me.
What could he know? How deep is it and how badly can it affect us, I wish I had never been friends with her. She knows me and she knows my weakness and she knows the type of person I am; she knew that I needed someone and she took advantage of it, if that’s not enough; she made sure that she was the sweetest person making me think she did care while she pretended like she had no idea what Sebastian wanted with me.

"Where are we?" I whispered staring at a house, it looked like a beautiful house and a beautiful neighborhood, It was clean and quiet and I could see some kids playing, yet it was not too noisy, it didn’t feel annoying or out of place.
"Her family," I whispered and he nodded.
"Turns out that she has another name, her name got changed when she was five years ago. This family lost their daughter or claim to have lost their daughter Rose when she was five and they had a funeral for her, they followed Nathalie and she made a quick stop at this house that’s how we found out, not only that, I decided to dig around to see why she came here, Natalia looks exactly like rose, when she was a kid, they didn’t lose her kid."
"Why did they lie? Why have a funeral, did they want pity from the world, it’s a little more than that."
"It is, they seem to be doing well for a family that survives on one person’s salary." Luca expressed.
She has always been a dirty liar.
"Her husband still gets paid even though he doesn’t work, he worked for the company for years and it belonged to one of his friends, it was only polite to keep paying the family so they can end up meeting."
"Maybe the house is in his name, he got it," I stated and Luca shook his head.
"They are paying rent Olivia, they have been form the moment they moved into the house, and not only that she has four kids, two of them in school and two others in college, they are not even attending community college, they are in private schools, now it’s either she is actively cheating on her husband or Natalie is pitching in because she is their daughter."
"But why?" I whispered. "If Rose died, and she is Natalie, why would she even come back again and the family would be fine with it, they buried their daughter Luca, are we sure she is Rose, many kids look alike," I explained.
I didn’t want us to get things confused and it seemed like I was. It seemed like no matter what I could think, it didn’t make sense, and even to Luca, he didn’t think that it made sense.
"What do you think?" I asked as he stared at him, I was unable to apprehend what was happening and I had hoped he would figure it out.
"I don’t know, I don’t want to make an assumption, I would leave the room open for any sort of theories that we have and I would have it discussed with my men and I would have to keep an eye on her too. She has no idea we are following her which is good, she has been in that house for the last three hours, I can’t be sure of what is happening until I have a conversation with one of them or find any discussion, it’s that proves that she is their daughter." He explained.
"If we are going to do that. I would prefer the college kids, they are far away and not only that she would not even know if we talk to them but who is to say that they would not tell her, they may not be scared even if they are threatened, and not only that she may have someone keeping an eye on them."
"That’s too risky, we can’t do that, if they go missing, she would know that we had something to do with it. She can’t know that we are on to her, it’s only going to be bad, what we have to do is wait it out, see what we can find. She is not as smart as my uncle and she is dumb enough to come here, I have a feeling that she didn’t know about it." He stated and I nodded.
She truly isn’t.
I know her weakness, alcohol and we may have to use it against her if we have to.
