CHAPTER 43: VISITORS

After a while, Arnold called Amon from beside.

"When you were asleep, the Headmistress visited us. She checked on us and also asked about the incident. She asked me about our encounter with Hector Rombling."

Amon raised his brow. "So does that mean I have to report everything from my perspective as well?"

Arnold replied calmly. "I don’t know, but probably yes. Someone might come to you later or you might be called to her office after discharge."

"That’s not a problem then," Amon said, though his expression was confused. Why was Arnold speaking in such a serious tone?

In the first place, there wasn’t much to tell.

"You see, this incident is quite huge. Officials from the Empire, the Temple, and the Magic Tower will also be coming to investigate. They’ll want to understand the incident through the students," Arnold continued.

Amon listened quietly and nodded.

"This is going to be a hassle." Amon shook his head, already tired of what was coming.

He then glanced at Seraphina, who was resting on the bed across from him. Just as he was about to call out, the door opened and Aeliana entered.

"Oh! So you’re awake now too," she said, her yellow-golden eyes flicking toward Amon’s bed.

Amon turned his gaze to the familiar voice. The person who had entered was none other than the green-haired beauty, Professor Aeliana.

She walked closer to his bed and stopped beside it. "How are you feeling now?" she asked in her gentle, warm voice.

"Of course, I’m fit and fine. More than ever—after all, it was you who treated me," Amon answered with a big smile.

"I’m glad to hear that." Aeliana chuckled softly at his reply.

"By the way, Professor Aeliana... you look beautiful today. Just as you always do," Amon added, trying to act like a gentleman.

Aeliana blinked, momentarily surprised, then smiled kindly. "Oh my~... I suppose I should thank you for the compliment."

She didn’t seem offended—after all, even she was still a woman, and compliments were nice to hear.

"Bastard! Have you gone crazy? Trying to flirt with the professor!" Marcus suddenly yelled from his bed, glaring at Amon like he had lost his mind.

Amon shook his head calmly. "What? I’m not flirting. I’m just being honest."

His calm face practically screamed that he was telling the truth.

But everyone else knew better.

"Hey, don’t act like you’re some cool man!" Marcus scowled.

"Hehe~ so after Seraphina, your next target is Professor Aeliana?" Eliana chimed in with a mischievous chuckle.

Seraphina’s head turned sharply toward Eliana, her cold eyes betraying a faint blush across her cheeks.

"What? What?! This damn commoner actually has the audacity to flirt with Seraphina and now the professor? You’re crazier than I thought!"

Marcus’s face was a mix of shock and disbelief, making him look ridiculous.

Amon listened to all their voices without changing his expression. But inside, he was screaming,

’Why won’t these bastards let me enjoy a little time with Professor Aeliana? Damn it!’

"Hehehe... you’re all livelier than I expected." Aeliana laughed softly, shaking her head.

"It’s good to see you all enjoying yourselves. Anyway, I just came to check on you. Since you’re fine, make sure you rest properly.Take care."

She gave Amon and the others one last warm smile before slowly walking out of the room.

Amon blinked as she left, then turned toward Marcus. His face was no longer that of a gentleman but of a thoroughly irritated man.

"Marcus, if you knew I was flirting, why did you butt in? Couldn’t you just let me talk nicely with her? Look, she’s gone now."

Marcus stared at him in disbelief. This commoner was openly trying to flirt with a professor—someone from a Marquess family, no less.

"What? Do you even understand what you’re saying? She’s a noble, and more than anything, she’s our professor! Even if she doesn’t teach us directly and only works in the Infirmary."

Eliana was having the time of her life watching the two boys argue.

Seraphina, on the other hand, sighed and shook her head tiredly.Waiting for both boys to be quiet.

"So what? She didn’t mind it. Why is your ass on fire? Wait! Don’t tell me bastard you’re jealous of me since she didn’t mind it~" Amon scoffed.

"How dare you use such vulgar words against me, you commoner!" Marcus shouted, his face red with anger. He had never felt so insulted in his life.

The two boys continued to trade barbs.

Eliana chuckled mischievously, thoroughly entertained.

Arnold pulled his blanket over his head and pretended to sleep, covering his ears.

Seraphina sat quietly, waiting for the noisy bickering to end.

But before it could, the door opened again. Both Amon and Marcus stopped mid-argument and turned to look.

Wearing the second-year uniform, with long, straight silver hair flowing down to her waist and piercing blood-red eyes, she entered the room calmly.

Selena Aurellian.

She walked gracefully toward the beds, her gaze falling on Amon.

’Wait! Why is she here? Was she worried about me, her junior? ...No way. Our encounter wasn’t that memorable for her to care about me.’

To his surprise, she turned her face directly toward Arnold. Who’s bed was just beside Amon’s.

"It seems you’re doing fine, Arnold," Selena said with a faint, amused smile.

Yes—she had come to meet Arnold. Not Amon.

Arnold, who had been pretending to sleep, turned his face toward her. His cold eyes studied her briefly before he replied.

"I’m doing fine, President. Thanks for checking on me."

As always, his voice was detached, his expression calm.

’What the heck? She came to meet Arnold? But why?’

Amon shot Marcus a questioning look.

Marcus leaned slightly and whispered, "Don’t you see? The Princess herself came to meet Arnold. How rare."

That still didn’t answer Amon’s question.

"Get well soon. I just came to see if you were doing fine," Selena said, then turned her attention to the others.

Of course, she asked about Marcus, Seraphina, and Eliana—checking their condition since they were from noble families.

’Tsk. Feels bad. She just ignored me.’

But right after, she turned toward Amon.

"You’re doing fine as well, I see. I heard about it—you fought well alongside Arnold. So you’ll also be receiving credits as a reward, along with other things."

Amon’s eyes widened in shock.

"So be happy. All your minus credits from sneaking out of the Academy have been recovered now." She gave him a rare smile.

The entire room went silent.

Amon—sneaking out of the academy? If that was not enough, the cold Princess actually smiling at him? Even Arnold’s eyes flickered in surprise.

Marcus, Seraphina, Eliana look suprised and shocked..

The Princess had just smiled at Amon.

"I’ll be going now. Take care, all of you."

Before leaving, she looked directly at Amon and moved her lips silently. No voice came out, but Amon understood perfectly.

’I know you are Batman.’

Amon’s smile cracked.

With a mischievous smile, Selena turned and left the room.

Silence lingered for a moment.

Then Marcus’s outraged voice broke it.

"You’ve truly gone insane! Sneaking out of the Academy?! The Princess smiling at you?! That means you even tried flirting with her too!" Marcus clutched his head in disbelief.

Eliana burst out laughing in amusement.

"You’re dangerous, Amon~"

Seraphina’s gaze landed on him, her face expressionless. "So you really were sneaking out of the Academy, huh."

Arnold quietly went back to pretending to sleep.

Amon felt wronged.

"Hey! I didn’t do anything wrong, okay? And this bastard Arnold also sneaks out of the Academy! I’m not the only one!" he tried to defend himself.

But the others didn’t look surprised.

"He joined the Student Council last week. So it’s not strange for him to leave the Academy. That’s also why the Student Council President came here to see him—since he’s a new member," Eliana explained with her usual mischievous smile.

’When the hell did that happen?’

Amon cursed himself silently as his friends continued to throw complaints at him.
