Chapter 249: Magus of weight
CHAPTER 249: MAGUS OF WEIGHT
Vacuse didn’t know who Magus Sylrissa was, but he was so happy to see her that he started laughing. "They are here! They answered my call!"
This Magus Sylrissa looked like a madwoman. She wore clothes of mismatched colors, her hair was in disarray and flew around her head, and she was grinning... like a madwoman.
"Necromancers! I don’t like you guys, and I’m not here for you. Get lost!" Magus Sylrissa shouted.
And just like the other Magus, the world tilted toward her as well. The air around him was heavy and almost hard.
Magus Valthorne scowled. "So you are behind the Dragon hunters. To think one of the Umbracrypt would be the one behind it. Fool, don’t you know you already lost the war? As we speak, my lord is stripping you of the..."
As the two Magus were speaking, Vacuse had already turned his attention to Lady Slave when he heard the name Umbracrypt. "Do you know her?"
Lady Slave also had a slightly confused expression on her face. "Yes. She usually hangs around Umbracrypt, but she’s not officially one of us. She’s also very strong for a fifth circle Magus... but she’s crazy."
"Is she your subordinate?"
Vacuse turned his attention back to the two Magus. "No. And we want to get out of here. We can’t survive a battle between two of them."
Already, the sounds of battle were raging outside, and the explosions and screams were loud. The Dragon hunters and the Magus of England were having their final clash.
With a thought, Vacuse commanded his Void creature, Sivan, to start powering his attacks inside the void.
Without a single look at the two Magus, Vacuse gripped both Lady Slave and Yukata, then jumped through the hole in the tent.

Magus Sylrissa’s eyes were lit with light as she watched Red Marchant leap away. "I can smell that draconic scent on him, alright! Much more than those other two! I can’t wait to start looking through him!"
Magus Sylrissa had a nickname in the Magus circle. She was usually called the mad researcher behind her back. And what made her even more peculiar was the fact that her magic didn’t even lie in research.
She was a physical Magus after all, not one of those that had to cast spells to work magic.
"So, you were the one behind the one that killed the dream beast. The Umbracrypt won’t have it easy." There was a dangerous warning tone in Magus Valthorne’s voice.
"The dream beast. I was always curious about it and wanted to study it as well. To think that it’s already dead. It’s a great shame! A shame indeed!"
Magus Valthorne gritted his teeth and shook his head. It was useless talking with a madwoman. The only problem was that the madwoman was actually a strong woman.
Without saying anything more, a portal yawned open behind him, and all his undead came out, both strong and weak. Even the strongest, the one that was his trump card, dragged itself out.
Behind him were different undead of different races and magic power levels. All of them stood still, waiting for instructions. The air was heavy with the will of death. The strongest undead was something that resembled dirty puddle water in a humanoid shape.
Magus Valthorne grimaced. Controlling that many undead left a vast strain on his mental capacity. He raised his hand and pointed at the madwoman. "Kill her!"
Everything exploded as the undead erupted into action, and the air was filled with the clash of magic.
But Magus Valthorne knew it was all for nothing. Magic didn’t work that much on Magus Sylrissa, and although she was a fifth circle, she’d been known to punch above her circle to the weaker Magus of the one above her.
Whereas Valthorne was on the weaker side of the fifth circle Magus.
He didn’t like his odds, and he would have run if not for his strongest undead.
And right now, the humanoid puddle water came closer and instantly enveloped him, covering every inch of his body with gel-like dirty substance.
Then he sat back and watched the other Magus destroy all the undead he had used his life to gather.
The only two undead remaining with him were the fairy on his shoulder and the one that covered him.
Magus Sylrissa seemed to be having fun as she swung her fist around. Each swing was so powerful and strong that they drew the air in the room toward her each time. None of the undead had any chance against her; their magical attacks had little effect.
She walked through blistering heat, and instead of turning to ashes, she only turned red as if she were made of metal. The same was true of the clothes she wore.
Magus Sylrissa had only three spells, the only three spells she was born with, and she couldn’t form or create new ones. The first spell was the magic to make things gain weight, increasing the mass as much as she wanted, relative to her power and circle.
The second spell was to make things durable. And the third was the power to easily control and use the things her first two spells worked on.
Although it came with its own downside, she couldn’t just increase weight in a minute. It took time, months, weeks, and depending on the material she was working on, years.
There were rumors that she had been increasing her own weight since the day she was born, and that was why she only wore magical clothes that grew with her, so she could make her own armor grow with her.
In short, she was very strong and durable. She had incredible strength, and magic barely worked on her. And that was why she killed the undead as if she were cracking eggs.
She looked at Magus Valthorne with disappointment as she wiped gore from her face. "You should not surround yourself with low-level undead. They split your mental power unnecessarily. Instead, you should have powerful ones. Even two of them are enough."
