Upon actually meeting Mrs. Rosier, she did appear quite haggard.

Although the Aurors had placed her under house arrest here, preventing her from going out, her basic living needs were taken care of much like Harry and the others… house-elves handled everything, whether it was food, drinks, or cleaning. She didn't have to lift a finger.

When she saw two children walk in, Marie Rosier was visibly startled.

She stood up from her chair, somewhat bewildered.

"Um, is there… is there something else you need to ask me? Do I need to cooperate with anything?"

This time, Harry had learned his lesson. He spoke up before Draco could get a word in.

"Patrick asked us to come check on you."

Hearing her husband's name, Marie grew visibly agitated. She quickly stepped forward and grabbed Harry's arms.

"They didn't do anything to him, did they? Those people said he was a wizard's child! And that he was involved in a kidnapping! How could that be possible? He's been traveling with me these past few days… we didn't do anything!"

Draco took a couple of steps back when Marie approached. He instinctively wanted to keep his distance from Muggles, as if observing a monkey at the zoo. He also watched as Harry struggled to free his wrists from her grip, clearly in pain.

"He's fine. The Aurors have already cleared up some of the facts. He wasn't involved in the kidnapping… you two were just accidentally caught up in it."

Harry felt that adults weren't all that impressive.

When he was first kidnapped by Sanguini, he had to comfort the vampire. Now, in France, he had to comfort a married woman.

Sometimes, these adults weren't as reliable as he was.

"Then why are we still being kept separately?" Marie stared at Harry, utterly lost in this unfamiliar situation.

"Because only part of the investigation is done. There are still some things left to clear up, so you have to stay here for now. You can't leave yet."

After explaining, Harry got straight to the point.

"Patrick asked me to apologize to you on his behalf. He said he never meant to hide the truth about wizards and magic from you."

Draco glared furiously at Harry. He wasn't stupid… he could tell now that he'd been tricked into coming here.

But he didn't show his anger outright. Instead, he was eager to hear Marie's response.

He hoped this Muggle woman would fly into a rage, cursing and shouting something like, "He's nothing but a liar! He's never told me the truth! I'm completely done with him!"

Sure enough, upon hearing Harry's words, Marie's eyes widened.

"So… what those people said was true? Patrick really is a wizard's child?"

Harry was inclined to believe that everything Rosier had said was true. He sympathized with the young man who had been abandoned by his parents, so he patiently explained on his behalf.

"He is a wizard's child, but he doesn't have magical abilities… he can't use magic. Because of that, his extremist parents abandoned him when he was little, and he grew up in an orphanage. He didn't want to tell you any of this because wizards have their own laws. He was worried that if you knew, it might cause trouble for you."

This explanation made Draco lose his patience. He felt Harry was cheating!

"He might not be telling the truth! He could just be lying to you again! Just like how he already lied about his identity, right?"

His callous words, deliberately reopening old wounds without regard for the woman's feelings, irritated Harry.

Sometimes, he could tolerate Draco's temper… but only when he was in a good mood.

Right now, Harry wasn't in a good mood. He thought this spoiled rich boy needed a good beating.

"How can you say something like that?"

"I'm not wrong!"

Just as the two were about to start arguing, Marie shook her head. Tears streamed down her face as she spoke in a choked voice.

"He never lied to me. Patrick never lied to me! Even though he never talked about his parents, only saying he grew up in an orphanage without any family… I could tell he was hiding something from me. But it wasn't just because he was afraid of dragging me into trouble… he didn't want me to know about his past and feel sorry for him."

Both Harry and Draco turned their attention to Marie. Even Harry, who had already witnessed the bond between Sanguini and Patty, couldn't help but ask:

"You're that sure he treats you so well?"

"He loves me. From the very beginning, he told me I was his only family… in the past, now, and forever, his home is only with me!" Marie pulled out a tissue, wiping her tears, "And I love him. That's why I could tell he was hiding something painful, something that made him sad. But he never wanted me to see it. He never let his negative emotions affect me!"

Draco's face twitched. He didn't even know what expression to make anymore.

Harry, however, no longer cared about bickering with the Malfoy heir. He sat down across from Marie, resting his chin on his hands, and asked:

"How did you two meet? During a police chase? Or when you were caught by werewolves?"

"No, nothing like that." Marie had no idea how a child could come up with such bizarre scenarios. She simply replied softly, "We met while renting an apartment. We both happened to be looking at the same cheap place. The only difference was that he was referred by the orphanage, so he got a better rental rate… and priority."

"I had just started my job back then and didn't have enough money to rent another apartment. So I took the initiative to talk to him… Since the apartment had two bedrooms, I said we could split the rent, each paying half and having our own room."

"He agreed right away. I thought he'd charge me the normal rental rate, but to my surprise, he only asked for half of the discounted price he got from the orphanage. And every month, he sent the money I paid him back to the orphanage that had raised him."

"From then on, I knew he was different from everyone else. And since we were living together, about two months later, he asked me out. We started dating, and two years after that, we got married in the orphanage where he grew up."

Marie sniffled, then smiled sheepishly.

"It's a pretty ordinary story, not very romantic, is it?"

Draco muttered under his breath, so quietly only he could hear:

"Stupid Muggle."

But Harry shook his head seriously.

"No, not at all, Mrs. Rosier. Your story is wonderful! As my teacher would say, this is how most people's lives should be."

Marie finally smiled happily.

"So I don't care about Patrick's past. I just want to live a good life with him, in our own home. Magic, wizards, all those things that hurt him before… I don't have to care about any of it!"

"You'll have a wonderful life together!" Harry said sincerely.

On the outskirts of Paris, in the northwest of the bustling international city, stood an inconspicuous monastery.

"Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel have always been involved in various charitable endeavors. They've not only funded Beauxbatons but also numerous hospitals, church orphanages… this monastery is also under their support."

Yuma led Severus and Lupin to the monastery where the Aurors had first found their lead.

The religious staff living here were primarily nuns and sisters, but the grounds were mostly occupied by over a dozen children.

The children ranged from as young as three or four to teenagers of fourteen or fifteen. From their appearances, they seemed healthy and well-cared for.

When the nuns outside spotted Yuma, one of them, clearly familiar with him, greeted him warmly.

"Mr. Yuma, are you here to see Sister Aimee again?" She asked.

"Good morning, Sister Lefevre. Yes, we'd like to ask Sister Aimee a few more questions. There are still some things we haven't fully clarified."

"Sister Aimee is in the back courtyard, preparing lunch for today. You're welcome to stay and eat with us."

"Thank you so much for the invitation."

After a brief exchange, Yuma led Severus and Lupin through the monastery's front courtyard to the kitchen area in the back.

There, two nuns were working… one washing clothes and bedsheets, the other cleaning vegetables, clearly preparing lunch.

"I'm sorry to disturb you again today, Sister Aimee." Yuma said, removing his hat and bowing slightly to the nun handling the vegetables.

At this point, Severus and Lupin's attention turned to the elderly witch.

According to French Ministry's records, this witch was originally from Sweden, where she had also worked in a church as a deeply experienced member of the clergy.

After moving to Paris, she became friends with the Flamels and later, with their support, obtained church approval to establish this monastery. In addition to prayer services, it also functioned as an orphanage and a home for elderly widows.

Sister Aimee was tall, and though her face bore the marks of time, her posture remained upright, giving her an air of dignified grace.

"It's no trouble at all, Mr. Yuma." She said, wiping her hands on her apron, "I'm also very worried about Nicolas and Perenelle. If anything happened to them… I can't even imagine the consequences."

At this time, Yuma was also ready to introduce Severus and Lupin to her.

"These two are-"

But before he could say more, Severus had already stretched out his hand with a pipe in his mouth.

"Sherlock Holmes. And this is my assistant, John Watson."
