92: Chapter 92 Emily Jenkins’s Trouble 92: Chapter 92 Emily Jenkins’s Trouble After Lucy Campbell left, James Brown furrowed his brows.

Although he had been casual in his conversation with her, he had constantly been thinking about her reason for visiting, yet he couldn’t figure out her intentions.

But one thing was clear to James, Lucy’s presence here was indeed troublesome.

Although he was no longer actively serving, he couldn’t neglect Lucy’s safety, especially since she held an extraordinary status in A Nation.

If something were to happen to her, the impact would be significant.

He stubbed out his cigarette and walked out of his apartment, looked around the corridor, and noticed several strategically placed hidden cameras covering the entire stairwell.

Inside the stairwell, both upstairs and downstairs, cameras were installed as well.

This meant that anyone attempting to approach via the stairs would immediately be noticed by those responsible for protecting Lucy.

James also knew that at any given time, there was definitely at least one bodyguard staying in a room on each floor tasked with Lucy’s safety.

Once back in his apartment, James peeked outside and saw more cameras on the exterior wall, rendering it impossible for anyone to sneak into Lucy’s apartment unnoticed.

Overall, the protection in place for Lucy seemed adequate.

However, for James, this was extremely uncomfortable.

Not only was Lucy being protected, but he himself was also under surveillance, which impeded his freedom.

But James could do nothing to stop this; Lucy’s presence had indeed brought him a fair amount of trouble.

He wondered when she would leave so he could get back to his own life.

Although James had once saved Lucy, he never dwelt on that incident.

It was just one of the many assignments he had undertaken, nothing particularly memorable.

His phone rang; it was Emily Jenkins, whom he hadn’t seen for some days.

James answered the call, and Emily’s anxious voice came through, “Big Brother Brown, can you come and pick me up?”

“What’s wrong?”

“This guy is bothering me, and I can’t get away.”

“Where are you?”

“I’m in room 302 at Moonlight Casino.

I’m hiding in the bathroom calling you; please hurry.”

The call was filled with the noise of loud music, evidently signaling that Emily, a beautiful flight attendant, was in trouble.

She thought of him first when in trouble, showing her trust, and he couldn’t just ignore her request.

So, James put on his clothes and opened his apartment door.

While he was pressing the elevator button, the door next to him also opened.

Lucy, dressed in casual attire, walked out and asked with a smile, “Where are you going?”

“I’m going to pick up a neighbor.”

Lucy clearly knew who he was referring to, and directly asked, “What’s wrong with her?”

Knowing that Lucy would understand, James didn’t elaborate much and simply replied, “She ran into some trouble and asked for my help.”

“I’ll come with you.”

“Why would you come along?”

“Well, I don’t have anything else to do.

Besides, she’s your neighbor and soon to be mine too.

We all live on the same floor; helping each other is only right.”

James did not stop her, reasoning that if something came up, it’s better to have Lucy’s bodyguard take action than himself.

Pleased that James agreed, Lucy seemed quite happy.

Ten minutes later, they had arrived at Moonlight Casino.

At the entrance, James frowned and asked, “Why didn’t you bring a bodyguard?”

“I’m a regular person; why would I have a bodyguard?

Besides, with you here, is there a better bodyguard I could ask for?”

James was speechless.

He had originally thought to rely on Lucy’s bodyguard to handle any issues, but now it seemed he would have to deal with them himself.

In the private room where Emily was, there were six people, three men and three women.

The men, around twenty-five or twenty-six years old and well-dressed, clearly came from wealthy backgrounds.

The women were all flight attendants, wearing their uniforms, though the uniforms of two were considerably disheveled due to the men next to them, while Emily’s clothes remained neat.

“Miss Jenkins, what do you say?” The man sitting next to her, Brian Johnson, whose father was the chairman of a major corporation in YODC City with assets over one million dollars, placed a check in front of Emily and said, “If you agree to spend a month with me, this money is yours.”

The other two flight attendants, however, were greedily eyeing the check, which bore the amount of one million dollars—a tempting offer indeed.

They had met many wealthy people before, but it was rare to find one as generous as this.

At this moment, Emily Jenkins shook her head and said firmly, “I’m sorry, I won’t agree.”

Brian Johnson’s face immediately darkened as he said, “Miss Jenkins, are you asking for too much?

I could find a celebrity to accompany me for a month for one million dollars without a problem.”

Emily’s face turned ugly as she responded, “Young Master Johnson, I’m sorry, I don’t want to sell myself.”

One of the flight attendants immediately said, “Emily, don’t be foolish, it’s one million dollars.

We wouldn’t earn that in ten years, and here you are making it in one month.”

The other flight attendant also joined in, “Yeah, Emily, it’s just for one month, not like you have to be a lover for a lifetime.

After a month, you can do whatever you want.

If you want to date your boyfriend, then date him.”

Emily was extremely frustrated.

She had just gotten off the plane today when two of her colleagues invited her to go out.

At the time, they hadn’t mentioned anyone else, so she agreed.

However, upon arrival, she discovered three men were also present.

Thinking she had two companions with her, she wasn’t scared at first.

But as her companions got along hotly with the other two men, she felt something was off and wanted to leave.

However, two bodyguards at the door refused to let her out, so she hurriedly ran to the restroom and called James Brown.

When she came out again, Brian Johnson began to pelt her with money.

Seeing that Emily still wouldn’t agree, the look on Brian Johnson’s face grew even uglier.

He scowled, “Miss Jenkins, name your terms.

Whatever’s possible, I’ll satisfy you.”

Emily shook her head resolutely, “Young Master Johnson, I’m truly sorry, I cannot do such a thing, no matter how much money is involved.”

Finally, Brian Johnson snapped, letting out a cold snort, “What if I insist you agree?”

Emily was startled and defiantly replied, “Then I still won’t agree.”

Brian burst into an angry laugh and said, “Well, well, you’re the first girl who has ever been so stubborn.

But I like it.

Since you won’t agree, don’t blame me for forcing you.

An occasional rape makes for quite an interesting event.”

Emily jumped up, alarmed, and exclaimed, “What… what are you going to do?”

Brian Johnson also stood up, his eyes gleaming with perverse light as he unabashedly scanned Emily’s body, eventually fixing his gaze on her ample chest.

With a smirk, he said, “What do you think I’m going to do?

I was planning on taking you somewhere nice to slowly enjoy ourselves, but now I don’t mind putting on a live show.”

“You… don’t mess around, this is a lawful society, doing this would be illegal, and you’d surely be sentenced.”

“Ha ha…” The men laughed heartily at Emily’s words, one man shaking his head as if he’d heard the funniest joke, “Miss Jenkins, there are laws in this world, but do you think for such a trivial matter, anyone would do anything to Johnson?

His father knows so many people; as long as there’s no murder, it’s not a big deal.

I advise you to just comply, otherwise, it’ll be worse for you.”

One of Emily’s colleagues also urged her, “Emily, it’s not a big deal.

Look at those celebrities, they’ve all slept with many people…”

“You’re shameless!” Emily cut off her colleague’s words.

It was one thing to be persuaded, but it was heart-wrenching that her own colleagues would say such things.

The flight attendant retorted with a pout, “Emily, don’t yell at me.

I’m just looking out for you.

If it weren’t for Mr.

Carter fancying you, I’d want that one million dollars too.”

Emily, even more furious, turned and quickly walked towards the door.

James Brown had not yet arrived, and she felt this place was too dangerous, especially around these people who disgusted her.

She tried to open the door of the private room but found it impossible to budge, clearly locked from the outside.

Brian Johnson smirked coldly and pressed on towards Emily, saying, “If you can walk out of this room, I’ll write the ‘Wang’ (Johnson) character backward.”

Emily tugged fiercely at the door, but it wouldn’t budge at all.

She was truly panicked now, and she turned to her colleagues and yelled, “Are you really just going to watch me be bullied?”

Both of her colleagues turned their heads away, avoiding eye contact with Emily.

At that moment, they somewhat regretted persuading her, as watching Emily being raped was something they genuinely felt remorseful about.

But for them, they couldn’t help Emily; the companions by their sides weren’t as wealthy as Brian Johnson but still multimillionaires.

Climbing the social ladder with them was not something they wanted to give up.

“Haha… what do you think?

My word counts.

Give me one month to accompany and pleasure me, and I never skimp on payment,” Brian Johnson slowly approached Emily, not hurried at all.

The more a woman like Emily didn’t easily yield, the more he wanted to play.

If money could simply resolve it, there’d be no sense of achievement.

“You wish!” Emily bit her lower lip, her eyes searching frantically around the room.

She was now backed into a corner and was looking for something useful.

If Brian Johnson dared touch her, she would make sure he paid for it.

After scanning the room, Emily’s eyes settled on an object.

Suddenly, she pushed Brian Johnson away and dashed towards the coffee table.
