CHAPTER 258: CHAPTERS 261-264
When she woke up again, it was already the afternoon of the next day.
She only felt a headache.
Rubbing her eyes, she sat up and looked around for a long time, confirming that there was indeed no one in the room.
She was wearing Koa Jackson’s white shirt.
Hesitating for a while, she finally slipped on her slippers and trudged out slowly.
Koa Jackson was in the garden, reclining on a large sofa, holding a book.
"Brother Jackson." Mia Ginger approached, calling with a gentle smile.
Koa Jackson closed the book and placed it on the coffee table, looking her up and down, he asked, "Awake?"
"Mm." "You were drunk last night," Koa Jackson looked at her steadily, raising an eyebrow, "Don’t remember?"
"I only remember going to the restaurant for dinner." Mia Ginger scratched her head with one hand, frowning, yet still had no recollection.
"Mm." Koa Jackson suddenly smiled, "It’s good not to remember."
"Was I bad at drinking?" Mia Ginger thought his smile was very peculiar and asked hesitantly.
"Well," Koa Jackson responded unhurriedly, "not terrible."
Looking down, she then noticed she was only wearing Koa Jackson’s long shirt.
Her face flushed bright red.
She quickly looked down and said, "I’ll go change my clothes."
"Mm."
Koa Jackson watched her turn and run away, unable to stop the curve of his lips.
——
Six in the afternoon.
Mia Ginger arrived at the school.
She hastily shoved her notebook and DSLR camera into the locker and went straight to the counselor’s office.
As usual——
All students in the college had to register at the counselor’s office at 6:30 every weekend.
As the class president, she naturally had to arrive before 6:30 to get the class roster before roll call.
The time was a bit tight.
She didn’t really waste any time.
At 6:20, she reached the counselor’s office.
She lightly knocked on the door twice, smiling at Alexander Miller, "Hello, counselor."
"The roster is over there." Alexander Miller pointed to the desk opposite, speaking up.
Mia Ginger stepped over, took the list, and sat in a chair, waiting quietly.
Alexander Miller glanced at her, only thinking that this girl truly didn’t know how to engage; since the start of the school year she’d never taken the initiative to chat with him, always appearing rather indifferent and self-contained.
Yet she didn’t give off a lonely and arrogant vibe; it seemed she was just meant to be this way.
"Hello, counselor."
A male voice suddenly interrupted Alexander Miller’s thoughts.
Mia Ginger was also startled; she turned her head to see Roy Anders walking in with a smile.
He came up to her.
Mia Ginger greeted him, then continued to look down at the roster.
The school year hadn’t been long; there were forty-two people in the class, and she still couldn’t match a few names to faces.
She appeared calm, but Roy Anders felt a bit restless.
Thinking for a while, he lightly nudged her with his elbow, mouthing, "Step outside, I have a few words for you."
Mia Ginger gave him a questioning look, paused, and then followed him out.
The two of them went into the corridor outside the office.
"What’s up?" Mia Ginger pondered over the time and promptly spoke up.
"Mm." Roy Anders seemed a bit embarrassed, frowning as he thought for a while, then whispered, "There are some rumors about you in the class; do you know about that?"
"What?" Mia Ginger was completely bewildered.
"I just heard about it when I got to the dorm this afternoon." Roy Anders frowned even more, "It’s not very good; it seems to have come from the girls’ dormitory in our class. Only a few didn’t go home this weekend, so just be aware of it yourself."
Mia Ginger rubbed her fingers, "What are they saying?"
"Well..." Roy Anders looked at her, stammering for quite a while, unable to say it.
"I understand." Mia Ginger didn’t want to make it difficult for him either, smiled and said, "Thanks for the heads-up."
Roy Anders smiled briefly, then walked back into the office.
Mia Ginger also went back in, expressionless.
But she kept pondering his words in her mind, and during roll call, she subconsciously glanced at the girls in the class.
