CHAPTER 414: CHAPTER 424: ANOTHER TWIST (6)
"Mia Ginger said softly, "I have to think about him."
"Can you not use that sarcastic tone?" Mia nudged her, "I know you’re upset for me, but I’m fine. Living alone is actually quite relaxing, and I can write novels."
"Hmm?" Windsor Myres thought for a moment, then said with a smile, "You’re right. How about I buy an apartment in your community too, and we can live together as neighbors? Hey, seriously, are there any vacant apartments there?"
"..." Mia Ginger was stunned, "Are you serious?"
"Yeah." The more Windsor Myres thought about it, the more wonderful it seemed, and she said dreamily, "Look, we still have three and a half years of university left, right? I can’t always come over when I want to, so buying an apartment would be so convenient. Camden River and I could have dates every day, living like gods and goddesses in our little paradise."
Mia Ginger gave her a speechless look and frowned, "What do you mean by ’when you want to’?"
"Ahem." It was rare for Windsor Myres to blush, "Can you not ask so bluntly?"
Mia Ginger: "..."
After a while, she muttered sulkily, "Can you not speak so bluntly?"
Windsor Myres gave her a frustrated shove.
Then she turned to grab Camden River’s arm, looked up and asked, "What should we eat later?"
"What do you feel like eating?" Camden River asked calmly.
"Hmm, Pizza Hut, is there one nearby?" Windsor Myres raised her eyebrows.
"Nope." Mia Ginger shook her head regretfully, "But I think there’s a McDonald’s."
"Then let’s go to Uncle McDonald’s." Windsor Myres smiled, then turned her head to ask Camden River, "Is that okay?"
"Yeah, it’s up to you." Camden River replied casually.
"Hehe, I knew you were the best." Windsor Myres jumped up and planted a loud kiss on his cheek, attracting the attention of everyone around them.
Camden River was caught off guard and his ears quietly turned red.
Mia Ginger glanced at him and smiled without saying a word.
——
As they left the supermarket, the three of them were carrying four huge shopping bags.
Camden River carried the two heaviest ones, while Windsor Myres and Mia Ginger each carried one, which weren’t exactly light either.
They had bought too many things.
It was cold outside in the evening, the temperature had dropped below zero, and McDonald’s was packed with people, making it hard to find an empty seat.
After some discussion, they decided to buy the food and take it home to eat.
Mia Ginger and Windsor Myres waited outside while Camden River went inside to queue.
It took a good twenty minutes before he came out.
The three of them hurriedly carried their things and quickened their pace towards the Blossom Quarter Community.
Once home, they were all a bit exhausted and slumped down.
Mia Ginger took off her coat and leaned wearily against the sofa, rubbing her frostbitten red hands.
Windsor Myres wandered around a bit after entering, then also took off her coat and tossed it on the sofa, smiling broadly, "It looks quite nice here. It may be small, but it has everything we need. It’s enough for occasional stays."
"Aren’t you hungry?" Camden River washed his hands and handed her a burger, "Let’s eat first. We can talk about other things later. Look at what time it is."
Windsor Myres grabbed Mia Ginger’s wrist and glanced at it, "It’s not even ten o’clock yet."
"..." Camden River said helplessly, "The dorm locks the doors at eleven these days."
Windsor Myres took a bite of her burger and nudged closer to him, "Can we not go back tonight?"
Camden River was taken aback, "Not go back?"
"Yeah," Windsor Myres pouted, looking aggrieved, "You have a flight tomorrow afternoon. I want to spend more time with you, okay?"
Camden River was stunned by the longing in her eyes.
