Chapter 1519: Chapter 1441: Have Some Soup

Mrs. Huo held her hand tightly, and repeatedly said, “It’s good that you’re back, it’s good that you’re back.”

The others didn’t say anything, but their gazes were filled with affection.

Ye Ranran felt her unease and fear dissipate significantly.

Sitting in the car, Ye Ranran frowned slightly, as if deep in thought.

“What’s wrong?” Jun Mochan reached out and smoothed her furrowed brows.

Ye Ranran lowered her eyes and asked cautiously, “Are they your parents or mine?”

“My parents, but also yours,” Jun Mochan replied.

Ye Ranran immediately understood. She wanted to ask why her parents weren’t present, but after thinking it over, guessed they might be too busy to come. She decided to ask about it another day.

Jun Mochan first took Ye Ranran back to the Jun family home.

“Change your clothes. Later, we’ll go out for dinner,” he said while gently stroking Ye Ranran’s hair.

“Not eating at home?”

“No. I’ll take you out, as a way to welcome you back,” Jun Mochan said, slightly turning his head away to avoid looking at her red lips, worried he might lose control.

“Oh, okay.” Ye Ranran nodded.

Jun Mochan led her to the walk-in closet. “Pick out something to wear.”

The closet was filled with clothes, each piece brand-new and from high-end brands, including items from J.C. Ye Ranran glanced around, picked up the topmost nightgown, and said to Jun Mochan, “You wait downstairs. I’ll come down after I’m done showering.”

“I’ll run the bath for you.” Jun Mochan started walking toward the bathroom.

“No, no need. I can handle it myself,” she said, not being someone who needed pampering for such minor tasks.

Jun Mochan acted as though he hadn’t heard her and continued straight into the bathroom.

Ye Ranran held the nightgown and followed him.

Jun Mochan filled up the bathtub and adjusted the water temperature. When he turned around, he nearly bumped into her.

Ye Ranran was just about to step away, but his large hands encircled her waist.

The grip on her waist tightened slightly, forcing Ye Ranran to straighten her posture, aligning herself more closely with Jun Mochan.

“You…” She didn’t finish her sentence, as the words were blocked by his actions.

“Alright, go take your bath,” he said, tidying her clothes before stepping out.

Ye Ranran felt frustrated but had nowhere to vent. As she relaxed in the bathtub, she suddenly came to a realization: she was now his wife, so it was natural for him to act this way.

But she didn’t have an emotional foundation with him yet.

Plus, Tang Sheng had said the virus in her body was cleared, but shouldn’t there be a follow-up examination to confirm it?

Even for a fever, you’d need a follow-up check to ensure everything was fine. How much more so for something this serious?

Lost in thought, half an hour passed. Jun Mochan knocked on the door. “Ranran? Are you alright?”

Ye Ranran, fearing he might come in, quickly stood up. “I’m fine. All done!”

She changed into fresh clothes, put on some light makeup, and followed Jun Mochan downstairs.

Jun Mochan held her hand tightly the entire way.

Grandpa Jun was holding Little Jun in his arms. Though his hair had turned white with age, his spirit remained lively, his murky eyes occasionally shining with vigor.

Ye Ranran, worried he might get tired carrying the child, extended her hands to take the baby when Jun Mochan said, “Baby, you’re big enough now. You shouldn’t always let Grandpa carry you. Walk on your own.”

“Okay.” Little Jun wriggled in Grandpa Jun’s arms. “Grandpa, put me down. I’ll walk by myself.”

“I can carry him,” Grandpa Jun said.

(Still haven’t gotten to the juicy part, so you all know what the title means (*^__^*).)
