The Tycoon Has A Secret Crush On Me
Chapter 1523 - 1445: Indulgence
CHAPTER 1523: CHAPTER 1445: INDULGENCE
It’s a pity that some people don’t cherish it, and she thought there was no hope in this life.
Just as she was about to give up, someone said this to her.
"It’s not necessary to open a shop. Anyway, you’re already married to me, so naturally where I go, you go." Jun Mochan said matter-of-factly.
His pitch-black, luminous eyes finally began to blossom with a smile, like the arrival of night, with specks of starlight gradually lighting up, paving a brilliant galaxy.
"Are you tired?" Jun Mochan asked as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
His love was like warm water, surrounding her from all sides—gentle, but never scorching. It was like water boiling a frog, making one unknowingly sink into its embrace.
Ye Ranran thought, if this man were willing, he could make any woman fall for him and love him to the point of no return.
She looked at him and earnestly said, "I’m not that delicate."
"I like it when you’re delicate. I want to protect you."
This one sentence softened her heart by half, though she didn’t show it outwardly: "Don’t just say it, you need to prove it."
"Of course." Jun Mochan bent down in front of her.
Ye Ranran stopped, her wide eyes filled with puzzlement: "What are you doing?"
"I’ll carry you."
People passing by occasionally glanced their way. Ye Ranran tucked her loose hair behind her ears to hide her unease: "No, there’s no need."
"I want to. Come on." He urged.
Under his insistence, Ye Ranran climbed onto his back.
He carried her, walking forward slowly. His steps were steady. The lamplight scattered from the trees cast a green glow, wrapping him in a layer of dreamlike color.
Their shadows overlapped, merging into one on the ground.
This road seemed very long. He kept carrying her as they walked.
A picture slowly emerged in her mind: a little boy carrying a little girl, wobbling as he walked.
The little girl lay on his back, trying hard to prop up her upper body and speaking in a squeaky voice.
She said many things, but Ye Ranran couldn’t hear them clearly. Only one sentence passed through the years and echoed in her ears: "Big brother, will you always carry me like this?"
"Did you carry me before?" Ye Ranran asked.
Jun Mochan paused, then continued walking, though his tone revealed a hint of uncontrollable joy: "You remember now?"
"Have we known each other for a long time? Was there a time when you carried me like this before?"
Jun Mochan’s smile became a bit stiff, but since his back was to her, she didn’t see it and didn’t notice. "Why are you asking that?"
"Did I call you big brother back then? Were we childhood friends?" She didn’t answer him but instead asked her own questions.
Jun Mochan finally stopped smiling. Jealousy arose in his heart, though it quickly faded into despondency.
What was he jealous of? Was it the moments he hadn’t been a part of? Was it the time belonging to Huo Yi and her?
Indeed, it was. But putting those aside, the rest of life belonged to Ye Ranran and him.
Thinking about this settled his heart substantially.
He even felt a bit lucky that Ye Ranran’s initial thought was about this.
That was her only happiness during that time. It had become the most vivid color of her youth.
But the price in the end had been too great.
"He was your first boyfriend." Jun Mochan muttered gloomily.
Ye Ranran finally noticed his odd mood and quickly apologized: "I’m sorry... I didn’t know."
